Buttermilk Cafe

This was the second time we've eaten at this restaurant, and we are always satisfied, hands down! The wait was not long. They move pretty fast with food and service. We did build your own omelets, potatoes, biscuits, and gravy. The biscuits are a must-have! The omelets were filling and tasty. The red skin potatoes were cooked great. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Our server, Jennifer C, was friendly, polite, and attentive. They atmosphere was warm and inviting. They place was very clean.

Great little jewel in the heart of New Braunfels. I'm a South Texan and I hadn't had good migas in a while. Wasn't disappointed. Wife had the gf pancakes, kids had the lox bagel and the avocado toast (he'll never be able to afford a house if keeps that up). Service was a great as the food!

As always, I had an excellent breakfast. I had the Cafe Breakfast which was three farmhouse brown eggs, bacon, red-skinned potatoes, and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly, over medium. The potatoes were also prepared perfectly.
As far as the service is concerned, it could not have been more friendly or prompt.

The food, service, and atmosphere was great. It was our first time here and we were impressed. We will definitely be bringing family here when they visit. Sham was our waiter and he was very attentive.

Had a late breakfast of pancakes, sausage , eggs and potatoes. Even though the place was packed, I seated within 20 min. Food was hot fresh and server was attentive. Loved their coffee. Pancakes were large and fluffly very tasty. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Potatoes were great, only thing is I wish they had salsa. Loved it will come back.

The food was great in taste, temperature, & portion. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try coffee cake, but other than that, all was well! They do not have iced coffee on the menu, but the waiter still was able to provide coffee over ice... and it was actually pretty good!

What an adorable little place! It’s a chef owned local affair. I had the strata and my fried had creole breakfast. The staff was friendly, food excellent, and bathrooms clean. Go check it out!

Immediately upon being seated the waiter appeared and introduced himself. He got my drink then my food order. The food was delicious, just hot enough. And the servings were generous. The waiter checked on me just the right amount of times. And he produced my bill promptly. Great place for breakfast.

Was worth the wait for there newly walk in fridge.. Buttermilk Biscuits with gravy and sausage very delish.. Waffle with eggs and ham another wonderful dish.. French toast with over medium eggs and chicken patty sausage different but yet tasty with some fried potatoes.. Mmmmmm.. Over easy eggs with toast and bacon another yummy dish. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal and was full when we left. Will definitely be back again. Thank you for great food and service.. Enjoy..

Breakfast with our party of 8 was accommodated perfectly. Shout out to Rebekah--friendly and super attentive. We were pleasantly surprised to find Saturday morning is complimentary coffee cake day, and it was delicious! Portions were generous and those who had the Chicken Fried Steak LOVED it!

My initial experience at this cozy restaurant far exceeded my hopes. Upon entering, the pleasant decor and accommodating team set the tone for an outstanding culinary adventure. Furthermore, their commitment to quality was evident through each component of my delectable breakfast: from golden brown French toast adorned with fruit, meticulously arranged eggs, and a duo of brunch cocktails tailored specifically to satisfy even the most discerning palate.

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff helping us were so kind. Atmosphere a little noisy, but it was cozy.

The staff is absolutely amazing!! We felt like long time customers and it was the first time we came. The muffins especially the orange and the cranberry one are superb! The meatloaf is very good, the breakfast is super good! The coffee is hot and tastes amazing. Oh and the biscuits are to die for!!! Never had an empty coffee cup! I give it a 10/10!!!!

Today was our first time trying buttermilk Cafe, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The red skin breakfast potatoes were very flavorful, they were crispy on the edges and super soft inside. The bacon was perfectly to my liking, not super crispy but not too soft either. The biscuits and the sausage gravy were absolutely divine. The pancakes were soft and fluffy and delicious. The grits were cooked perfectly, and with a little butter salt and pepper they were delicious. And I'm really glad I talked myself into ordering the cinnamon roll, it was so soft and fluffy, the cream cheese icing on top was absolutely sinful, I didn't finish two bites of it and I felt like it was a crime to leave it behind. This may be an establishment we have to visit more in the future.

My family and I decided to go here randomly because we wanted to sit down and eat somewhere we haven’t before. Host was a super nice man, I could tell he was very busy but was still friendly with us. Our server was also really sweet and accommodated us well. The food was absolutely fantastic. My husband says it’s the best chef salad that he’s ever had, and my food was very delicious too. I got the french toast breakfast and the serving sizes were perfect. The owners came over and chatted with us for a little bit and was playing around with our toddler who loved all the attention. Everyone was all around super nice, so lovely and made us all feel really comfortable! Already recommending this place to family and friends, will 100% come eat here again!

Been trying to get here for sometime but it never worked out until today. Had a great ride from San Antonio and then the amazing food was definitely worth the ride and the wait.

Best little eatery in town. Never have to wait long for a table. Can't go wrong with the BLT toasted on Rye with a fried green tomato.
The best chicken fried steak in town. The service is great. Our waitress kept our coffee cups full. It's our favorite for breakfast
and lunch!!

Food was extremely good and service was amazing!!! I highly recommend this place to eat with your family. I got the Country Fried Steak with Mac and Cheese, French Fries, and Mashed Potatoes.. Mashed were really creamy, Mac and Cheese had a nice cheese pull and tasted amazing, French were crispy and had a good amount of Seasoning, and finally the Country Fried Steak was crispy and had good flavor.

Food was phenomenal. We had to wait about 45 mins but it was well worth the wait!
