Pickle Barrel Cafe & Sports Pub - Milledgeville

Great find! It’s a little local chain, but it was our first time going to one. We were in town for a concert and decided to eat after. Not much open so we stopped here and I’m so glad we did. The service was excellent and the food was even better. Mozzarella sticks, homemade kettle chips, burgers, fries, chicken tenders, etc were all shared by the group and everyone enjoyed everything. If we are in Milledgeville or any of the other locations with a Pickle Barrel again, we will be sure to stop by!

Ok, so it isn't much to look at from the outside, but wow were we impressed with the food and the music. We had a fish fry basket with beer battered fries and a greek salad and also the wing basket with a baked potato. Both were good, but I am not a fish eater and even I had to try that moist incredible fish. We found out it was grouper. It was melt in your mouth deliciousness. The server was clearly struggling that day, but did her best to ensure we had a great experience. We will be back. Update: we went back and had awesome service and a delicious family dinner. There were 7 of us this time and everything was just awesome! Updating with another great visit today with 5 of us. Shout out to Kayla with excellent service and everyone loved their food!

Our first time here. They have a nice patio that includes a comfortable waiting area for folks waiting on a table. The inside bar and dining room areas are very nice and well kept up. Fun decor. Very friendly mask-wearing staff. We were checked in on by a couple of people along with our fantastic server, Kathryn. We ordered a Chef salad, a fried okra appetizer and a chicken tenders basket. The tenders were tossed in honey hot wing sauce, but you have many flavor choices. Chef salad: Huge, fresh salad (see photo) The best Chef salad we've ever seen. Fried okra appetizer: a huge portion, perfectly breaded and fried, comes with ranch dressing on the side. Chicken tender basket: Very generous portion of delicious chicken tenders (see photo) that comes with 2 sides. I got cole slaw (vinegar style) which tasted freshly made and French fries, which turned out to be battered in a Tempura-like batter which honestly I do not care for, but clearly it has its fans since they seem to be the house French fries. We will definitely be back next time we are in Milledgeville.

It was pretty packed the day I went, but the workers handled it very well. The host upfront was very friendly and kept good track of everything going. The severe seemed kind of new/ a little overwhelmed with the amount of people maybe but was friendly and attentive to us. LOVED THE FOOD, the fried pickles are why we wanted to eat there and they definitely didn't disappoint. Loved to battered fries as well.

First time visiting and very impressed. Proportions were large and most came with a side. Staff was great and very attentive.

it's been quite some time since I've last visited PBC, but I love the islander sauce (wings and wrap) and the "reason to live" ....still tasty like I remember

I popped in for lunch. The firecracker shrimp was excellent. It's a friendly bar with quite a few choices of good food. If you want to eat healthy, you have several options, as well. Well worth the money.

Fresh hot food. Was brought to the table fast and crust on the pickles was perfectly crisp. They seem to take care of the fryer because I'm picky and can usually tell when it has fried too much or is set at too high of a temperature in order to push food out faster, not the case here. Very impressed overall. A bit pricey for what it is but if they pay the employees well I'd frequent them because of the food and service more so if wages are high for employees.

The honey fire shrimp and fried grouper was wonderful. Next time I, want to try the grilled grouper. Everything was great from the service to the appetizers and dinner. Hannah was our great waitress. This is our second visit and it was even better that the first if, that's possible. 🤩😊 We will be back and thank you.

My go-to spot when I was in college. The food is superb for a pub. Service was top notch. Honey hot wings are delicious.

Ordered wings Friday night and they were yummy, ate all of them.

Absolutely delicious. We came with a party at 653 kids everybody left fool and no longer hungry. Thank you for the wonderful service we will return soon.
