Bowditch Point Park is a hidden gem! It's like nature's secret getaway in Fort Myers. With its serene beach, picturesque trails, and abundant wildlife, it's a paradise for nature lovers. The sunsets here? Pure magic. Whether you're into bird-watching, shell-collecting, or simply basking in the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico, this place has it all. It's a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended! 🌅🌿🐦

It is a nice small beach where the Gulf of Mexico and a large river merge. I found loads of seashells and saw pelicans drive for fish. The bathrooms are closed as a result of Hurricane Ian but portal Johns are available. The picnic tables are not available, probably because of the hurricane.

Not a very crowded beach. There is plenty of space at the beach to mark your spot and the tide is high most days. The area surrounding the beach, however, is still recovering from Hurricane Ian over a year ago.

This is one of my favorite beaches in lee county. They have grill stations available. Metered parking $2 per hour. It’s really relaxing. There are a lot of tourists- hotels- guests houses close by with their own entrance to the beach.. the jet ski does affect the waves, but overall it’s a nice beach for the entire family: the water is not that deep.. you can walk out a great distance from the shore and still be less that knee deep.

Very nice natural area on the north end of the island. It's not too large, but big enough to allow for some quiet walking along the paths, as well as beaches on both the bay and gulf sides. Clean and well maintained.

This park is a hidden gem. People do not seem to go to the north end of Estero Island and don't realize it is a county park with beaches, picnic areas and natural areas. Yes, many do know it is here, but we had no trouble getting a parking place. You do pay by the hour or use a Lee County Parks annual parking pass. The bus also stops here.

This is a great place with a little bit of everything for everyone. The parking lot doesn't hold many cars and that keeps the crowds down. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. There are picnic areas, nature trails with random benches spread out to enjoy the views, grass to layout and stare at the clouds and oh yeah... The GULF OF MEXICO!!!! Beach is a bit covered in shells and not maintained as Fort Myers Beach, but the raw beauty is perfect. When you're done for the day there's bathrooms and outdoor showers. Get cleaned up and head down the street for a bite to eat. This is definitely my new hangout.

A gorgeous park for viewing the sunset, we had a photo shoot done here and it was a lot of fun, lots of great places to capture photos. The parking is reasonable as well, although if you don't want to drive you can take the tram or trolley. There's also a place to wash off before leaving which is always nice.

This park in Fort Myers Beach is great to have picnics. You have to pay $2.00 per hour for parking. You have small gazebos, tables and grill.
Bathrooms, showers, drinking water fountain.
Within a few steps you will have the beach with a beautiful white sand. You can enjoy watching the pelicanos hunting fish.
Bring your chairs, food and drinks. However alcohol is not allowed in the park.

It's a beautiful beach but you can see the devastation left behind by the last hurricane. I am sure this place was very beautiful in the past and will get there again. For now I enjoyed what little time I spent there and it was a good time.

Nice little park to go visit. Some trails were a little muddy/flooded. But the beach was well kept, nice and clean. When the tide is low enough you can walk out into the water a long ways and look for shells. Check it out if you're in the area. Plenty of cool washed up trees and snakes around too!

Beautiful sandy beach, gorgeous sunset, kite boarders, and 3 weddings all at once. Not a huge amount of parking late in the day, but just $2 an hour. Near lots of shops and restaurants.

It's beautiful here and I most always find a place all for myself! Caribbean feeling 5min from the party mile ;)
Wonderful staff of the park and restrooms, showers and water if you need it. Also just a walk down the beach to the shops and restaurants.

This is my place

The sand is so fine, smooth, and white at this beach it's incredible. Nice breeze but few whole shells while we were there.
