BTW - BURGERS TACOS WAFFLES

A friend recommended BTW after we attended an event nearby. I live about 40 minutes away but the food was so good I’ve been back twice this month and will probably make the drive at least one more time before the end of the year! Amazing burgers and the “Ramen Fried” are incredible (ramen noodles formed into sticks and deep fried). The toppings and sauces on the burgers and tacos are house-made and unique. Everything I’ve tried or seen my friends order is great. The restaurant has 2 “sides” with the main part being counter service with soda and draft beer. The other side has the same full food menu but also has a full bar offer with many signature cocktails and they have this cool little machine that can draw on your drink! If you live nearby I highly recommend it, and even if you don’t it is worth the drive!

There are soooo many great items on the menu to try. From the burgers that have unique tastes and toppings, to the 6 cheese mac and cheese, or course the walking taco (which was huge) then finally the red velvet fried Oreos that we dipped in the raspberry sauce that came with our cheese curds (also added the jalapeño beer cheese as well). The staff was polite, friendly and took great care of us. If you have a chance to try it, do so. It's worth it.

We really enjoyed BTW. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was excellent. We both had burgers. He also had a waffle and I tried the deep fried Oreos. Definitely worth a stop for a relaxed lunch/dinner for comfort food that hits the spot.

Nothing but positivity for this place. Got the kids mac and cheese with waffle fries, Breakfast Burger, and 3 different style tacos with lettuce instead of tortilla. The mushroom taco was the best!!!crazy good flavor in all 3 types. We didn't get to try them but we also saw there were Ramen fries advertised! Will definitely return to satisfy a fixing for this place!

Love the industrial look inside this place. The burgers are juicy and delicious, highly recommend the whiskey glaze burger and cheese curds with raspberry sauce.

Extremely friendly staff. Plan for about 25-30 minutes for food. Fresh is not fast but worth it. Adorable ambiance in and out of restaurant. You can see the lake from your seats. Delicious. If you like exploring intense, diverse flavor and out-of-the-norm ingredient compilations, I think you would like this place. And how often can you visit a restaurant where there is something for everybody? There are hearty, protein- and fat-filled dishes as well as veggie or vegan items on the menu. Praise God; living 2 hours away, we were simply here for the day for a class my husband was attending and we happened upon this place. If you like good food, their's will quite likely please your palate!

The selection of food insures most everyone will find something they like. If you want to get deep into some full on yummy food - this is your place. Burgers were excellent! Gringo 🌮 were filled with super fresh ingredients! They had a perfect balance of chorizo and ground beef. Not too spicy but plenty of flavor. Service was excellent and everyone was very attentive. If I'm ever in the area again I know where I'm going to eat. Bring plenty of napkins though! It's going to get messy!

This place was a nice surprise by the waterfront. Really cool location and atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and the burger was great! Will definitely be back in the evening to check out the taproom next door. Definitely give it a tray if you’re in the area.

BTW is a quiet little place in downtown Tavares with Burger, Tacos, and Waffles. We walked in and we were immediately greeted by Ashley. She explained the sanitary menu placement and ordering instructions to us and then took our order. She was a great hostess and even spoke loud enough to here her behind her mask. Nobody does that and are constantly asked to repeat themselves. On the way there, I figured I might try a little bit of everything, so I had three tacos for $11, poutine with tater tots, and a burger.

I had three tacos; the first one I ate being the Korean bbq bulgolgi pork, charred tomatillo, homemade ranch, and mangoes and jalapeños. The bulgolgi I was hoping for was a miss. Maybe because it was pork instead of beef bulgolgi, idk. It was more of a shredded meat taco with Asian flavors. It was delicious, just not what I was expecting.

The second taco was a Hot Chik-n bed which was fried chicken, Buffalo wing sauce, blue cheese crumbles, a carrot slaw, ranch and scallions. You know when you have a normal meal on your plate and you take a bite of each thing at once and it should be balanced? This hit that mark so amazingly well. It was like a Buffalo wing dipped in blue cheese with carrots all at once. It was a balanced blend of magic in my mouth. I could have ate 20 of them.

The third taco was called the "trailer park" which contained sweet bbq chicken crack, cabbage, homemade ranch and cilantro. O.M.G.!!! I'm not sure what chicken crack is, but, I know this taco smacked it up and rubbed itself down in my mouth with every bite. It was absolutely delicious!!! The bbq sauce and the chicken with the ranch and cabbage. There might have been crack in it! I was hooked!

The poutine was by far the best I have had anywhere in FL. Poutine is usually gravy over French fries with cheese curds. BTW elevates Poutine to a whole new level with short rib gravy over tater tots(fries are available) and cheese curds. There was some seasoning on there to but it was to light to make out over the delicious short rib gravy. It was so hearty, like when you are eating a good bowl of stew and your are spooning through it to find the meat. This tasted like there was meat in the gravy. There wasn't but the taste was so meaty and hearty that I kept looking for a piece of short rib. I told Ashley, who also doubled as our waitress with the awesome support of Darcy, that I was tempted to lick the paper in the tray to get all the gravy. She supported it, but, I declined to make such a mess.

Ashely and Darcy constantly and consistently checked on our table to make sure we had everything we needed. They were on point with it not hovering like a waitress at an Asian buffet. They were very polite and courtesy throughout our entire dining experience. Made you feel at home.

Now, not to take away from any of the deliciousness I ate leading up to the burger, but this burger was off da chain!!! The Southerner had pimento cheese, honey mustard slaw, stout beer and sriracha bbq. To start off, pimento cheese belongs on every burger from now on. It added a whole new texture to the burger that was just astounding. I absolutely loved this burger and the amazing flavor profile. The stout really brings out the beefy flavor in the burger, but also brings that flavor out of every element of the burger. I cant stop thinking of that texture that was going crazy in my mouth, it was delicious, absolutely delicious. Im still full hours later, but can't wait to return to try out some of the other items on the menu and of course some of my fav's from this trip.

We finished the meal with deep fried oreos. I think they were better than the one at the county fair!!! Just sayin!!!

This place was way more than burgers, waffles, and tacos.

This place is awesome! Everything is delicious. The staff is friendly. Meals cost between $10 and $15 per person, but well worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating. And if you want a larger beer variety, Brü Tap is 20 feet away!

Food was good. The brussel sprouts were my favorite. The taste of the food is exclusive. Been to some places which I may prefer, but I definitely think you should try this place yourself. You may beg to differ. I felt that it was a bit pricey. Will have to go again and see how I feel the second time around. Great location, clean, cool restaurant vibe. Awesome place to brunch. It's a pay at the counter. They bring the food out and check up on you frequently. The service was exceptional! Which I loved. I'm big on customer service and they set an example. Located in downtown Tavares, right next to a lake and park. So a walk by the lake with the fam could follow. Definitely a place to check out.

First time here. Definitely will be going back! Food was tasty and fresh. Patio area so we could bring our dog. Very friendly accommodating staff.

Small town restaurant,big city vibe with food so good it’ll make you do the happy dance. The menu is simple yet hearty with burgers,waffles, tacos and everyone’s favorite...fried potatoes(waffles or tots). The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. Do yourself a favor and stop in soon to experience shoulder shimmy deliciousness.

It’s hard to say a bad thing about BTW. It’s burgers. It’s tacos. It’s waffles. Now pick one and get ready to chow down. They boast having won awards for best burger in the state. Haven’t tried a burger yet because I can’t get past how good their tacos are. My personal favorites are The Gringo and Trailer Park. It’s a small place that fills up fast. We’ve been twice right when they’ve opened at noon and within about 45 minutes, the place is packed. Great atmosphere, simple concept, cool sodas that aren’t your typical bubbly, and exceptionally kind staff. It’s a good time.

If you want to feel less bad about getting a taco shell, get it in a lettuce leaf!

Burgers, Tacos and Waffles - the name says it all! Excellent, eclectic food in a casual, fun environment. Clever names describe unusual food combinations. Festive decorations for the holidays make it even more upbeat.

Best tacos we’ve ever had! My favorite was The ‘Shroom on a lettuce wrap. Yum! My daughter enjoyed the street corn. Service was fantastic too. Great place

Everyone that works here are amazing, I have made multiple orders here and every time my order comes out hot and fresh. The food is amazing and unique. This place is definitely worth a visit.
