Hurricane Dockside Grill-Tavares

Didn't eat here this visit but if it's the same as other Hurricane location I'm sure it's good. The staff was really friendly and the decor and grounds are awesome with outside deck dining on a really nice lake with boat docks. Can't wait to visit again!

Had an absolute blast hosting a party on the tiki deck this evening. Kelly was absolutely fantastic and she took great care at the whole group. I highly recommend this place, the atmosphere and the people were awesome. Thanks for the hospitality!

We visited with friends after a long morning spent tour Lake Eustis. The restaurant itself is located on a backwater channel off the lake. Easy enough to get to by water. They do have a few slips to dock your boat, but but I could see those filling quickly. It is accessible by land with plenty of parking.

Our friends had been there a number of times before and made menu suggestions. Our group ordered a variety of different things... all came quickly and were very tasty.

This place will definitely be on our list to visit again when in the area.

We had the best service! My son gave her a compliment that she was the best waitress we've ever had and he's right. We sat outside and around the time mosquito's were getting bad, she brought bug wipes for the kids, was on top of refills and orders, she was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and if we're ever in the area again, we will be stopping.

The chicken wings is the thing that you must not miss. There are 30+ sources that you can choose. The steak was ok. The raw tuna is ok too.

Eat here often at outside bar. You can't get better atmosphere and Laci the bartender is amazing, great twisted tea jokes. Beer is good and cold, get a big wave while sitting under amazing tiki roof outside over looking the dead river.

First off, I would like to say that my family and I have been coming here for several years. We have never experienced this kind of attention to detail from a waiter or waitress. Joey was the most amazing waiter we have ever had. We will be asking for him in the future and he is a great asset to the restaurant.

Met an RV friend that we hadn't seen in a few years and met her parents, who she was visiting in FL. We had a delightful time and thank Rafael for the great service and the restaurant for the great food and ambiance. We ALL had the Fish & Chips (the parents with a Salad). Highly recommend this restaurant with both inside and outdoor seating, with booths, table & chairs and high-top tables with high chairs, as well as bar-seating. Go check them out and enjoy with your friends and/or loved ones. Sorry, we were having such a good time that we forgot to take any photos.

Our waitress Kelly was so much fun, very attentive and a sweetie. . We would come back just for her. The food is awesome especially the chicken nachos...love this place!

A wonderful place to enjoy the cooler months in Florida on the shaded deck overlooking the river. Amazing tacos (my favorite is the pulled pork) and we love the "wahoo" dip nachos plate as a shareable starter. Inside, they sometimes have live music. Fun tropical/beach vibe. The only downside is that it's pretty popular, so getting a spot might be a challenge on the weekends!

Great place to stop for lunch. Lots of covered outdoor seating, it was a bit cool and rainy the day we stopped so we sat inside.

After reading some of the reviews for Hurricane I didn't even wanna come by. I just moved back to Florida after being gone for 12 years. One of my friends is like lets go find a place on the water to eat so we can watch the sea planes go by. We wound up at the Hurricane instead. I'm like I don't know. The reviews on this place were sketchy. Kinda hit or miss. So she talked me into trying it as she hadn't tried it either. Just goes to show you don't trust any review go and find out for yourself. All of my reviews are "honest" and either are a pat on the back for the place or maybe some constructive criticism for the place. Anyway Hurricane pleased me before I even walked in the place. Conveniently located on 441. Huge parking lot so plenty of parking. The tropical Florida vibe hits you as you approach the front door. Water comes right up the the restaurant. Don't feed the Alligator's sign appropriately placed along the water lol uuuggg Outdoor seating area is huge. Awesome Key West vibe going on. Plenty of fans outside if it gets to hot. Walk inside pleasantly greeted by the hostess. Allowed us to choose our seats/view which was kewl. Had a singer there for Lunch Sunday the 13th. Claudia was our server. She was great and attentive. Came back to see how everything was after a few minutes. (that's a sign of a great server right there!) lol Had suggestions and knowledge of the menu. My friend got fish and chips and I got the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos... MMMMmmmmmmMMMM Margarita's were spot on. I mean the ambiance, the food, the staff all get 10 stars from me. I'll be back again and again. Don't listen to some of these bad reviews here or elsewhere. The bad review could be from a disgruntled employee or a competitor trying to make the business look bad. Hurricane was definitely a pleasant surprise. Great restaurant !!

Good place to eat, plenty of room for big parties. Great service, we had a big group and all orders were correct and drinks were always full. Great atmosphere right next to the water. Food was fresh and hot. Thank you for a good time.

So thankful we stopped in today. Best burgers ever, chicken nuggets are fantastic, huge selection of sauces. Our server, Becca, was so friendly. Lots of seating options including inside, outside, upstairs, near water, over water...... Can't wait to stop in again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Food was good, wait was not bad, most importantly...clean environment and service was excellent! Raving Fan of Alexis, she was our server of 8 and by far exceeded my expectations and was one of the better servers I've seen in a while! She was suggestive, quick knew her menu, drinks, she was caring! We all agreed on good she was, We'll be back !

The service was excellent, the food great, and the atmosphere fun. A nice covered deck outside with a small band providing good music, though a bit loud for me this lunch time.
There is an upstairs deck as well.
Go there! Order the Impossible Burger. You won't ask, "where's the beef".
There are lots if tv's around with the games of the day, and bars inside and out. Sweet!

Kelly our server was amazing! So much fun to talk to! Supper friendly! Took great care of us! Will definitely come back!

Savannah and Sierra were Angels, best start of my New Year. We got togo food me and a friend, butwhile we waited the ladies let us change the TV and it felt like home. Great ladies! Phenomenal service!
