Mezcal Mexican Restaurant-Detroit

I recently dined at this restaurant it was really clean and had an appealing interior, which set a welcoming tone right from the start. The nachos I tried were slightly better than average, though they didn't particularly stand out as memorable. However, the tacos were a different story—they were truly delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed both types that I had.

The staff added to the positive experience with their friendliness and efficient service, making the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, the restaurant delivered a pleasant dining atmosphere, great tacos, and commendable service, making it a place I would recommend to others looking for Mexican cuisine in a nice setting.

The birriatacos were amazing! The meat was so juicy and tender. The mezcal soup and flavorful tortilla chips were also very delicious. The house margarita was very tasty and made with great quality tequila. The old fashioned was the best I’ve had from any restaurant. Wonderful staff, very clean restaurant. This is officially our favorite Mexican restaurant in Detroit.

We had an amazing dinner experience here. The food was fantastic and well priced given the high quality. We did it all - apps, main course, and a dessert. Sharing the gigantic, 4 person drink was delicious and a uniquely wonderful experience. Service was also great. This place is definitely a new favorite.

Let me explain, the man there took on 3 different responsibilities and executed them perfectly without error! He was absolutely amazing! The food was good, seasoned well. The consume was the best I’ve had in a long time.
But the star of the show was hands down the gentleman taking on the role of 3 different people. Absolutely amazing!

Drinks and food were phenomenal, my go to spot. Angel has always made the experience a delight of going here. Highly recommend

I'm a former bartender and I must say that Angel's margaritas are even better than mine (which is my drink of choice). I'm also vegan and the vegan burger was phenomenal. Angel was really nice and a very good bartender!

Great place. We celebrated a birthday there. Food was great. Great vegan tacos and lots of food for everyone else. We will definitely come back!

Food was 10/10, very lowkey spot in midtown but classy vibe. Music was great, we asked for daddy yankee and they played it. I left my phone in my uber on my way here, and the employee by the name Romina was an angel. She was so sweet and helpful and even downloaded the app and let me use her phone to try to reach the driver- while grabbing me a much-needed margarita. The whole staff was lovely. It was my friend's birthday, and they gave us delicious cheesecake at the end as well. Will definitely be back. Thank you again to the staff.

Absolutely fantastic from the moment we walked in. Cristian Was our waiter and was spectacular our food oh my gosh it was so beyond delicious. I just absolutely enjoyed every bit of this place. We will definitely be going back.

This place has some great Mexican food. More elevated than your typical mexican restaurant. The drinks are all great.

This was out first time dining in at Mexcal Detroit. Our waiter Angel and the wait staff that assisted him were excellent. Angel made great suggestions and was on it with amazing customer service. Anything we could think of that we needed, Angel was ready and took care of those needs quickly. The birria tacos, fajitas, and the chicken empanada with the chip trio were a great selection. I also tried the mezcal mojito and my husband tequila on the rocks. Would definitely recommend and come back to try some of the other menu items. 10/10 experience.

The best, best, BEST authentic Mexican food in Detroit. Service is always on par, they are extremely clean and fast. Love love coming here. All the tacos are great, esquites and guac are amazing, quesoo is delishhhhhh. Love them 💕

This restaurant hands down serves the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. First time ever eating here and fell in love with the drinks and all the food. Trio dip- fish tacos - house margaritas. 10/10

Manny makes the best Margaritas!!!!!! This was the best margarita I have had in my life! I can’t have it any other way.

Just enjoyed a magnificent dinner at Mezcal. The staff was super friendly, especially our waitress Clara. Drinks were delicious. Loved the shrimp tacos, queso and chips and ribeye tacos. Save room for dessert. Cheesecake and Mexican cornbread popcorn dessert were phenomenal. You won’t be disappointed.
