Iron Horse Grill & Saloon

Saw a post about their special on the local Facebook group, so my husband and I decided to try it out. I have not been to Cokato in the eight years that I have lived in Minnesota, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The restaurant space is called upstairs, and the bar is downstairs. It was quiet and the ambiance was great. I did not catch her name, but the lady working there was incredible. She was the only one helping the customers, but she did it all with grace. Shout out to her!

For the food, we got their special which was the flame grilled steak and grilled walleye. They were delicious. I did not expect the portion to be that big considering it was $23 for the two meals. We also got their Mac Bites appetizer. Those were good as well.

I started following them on Facebook after this meal. I hope to catch more special deals here! 😊

Tip: It looks like the deals start at 5PM. If you are in a hurry, come as close to 5PM as possible. The upstairs fill fast!

I liked the way the place had 2 levels. It just seemed new and different than the same old same old and the food was great. Staff was friendly but not over the top, scripted, annoying friendly. The other patrons were even playing good music on the touch tunes machine good hard (not heavy) rock.

The burgers here are excellent! Highly recommend if you're in the area! 😋

A group (7) of us visited the Iron Horse for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Sydney was an incredible server! She was very personable, kept all of the orders straight and never stopped running. We tried several appetizers, burger, wrap- the food was good, but I was not a fan of the cheese curds.

Very Cool Basement Style Bar, Was kind of hard to find, but once your in, get comfortable and have a nice dinner and a few cold ones!

I got the mac and cheese burger. Friggin so good.

My kids and I stopped here for lunch randomly and were pleasantly surprised.

The building itself is unassuming and it's very much a bar, but the patrons and employees (hats off to Sydney) were awesome. On top of that, and I don't say this lightly, the burger I had there was the best burger I've ever had, period. One of my kids had a burger as well and after inhaling the whole thing told me how I need to get burgers from here forever.

BEST BURGER I've had in MN!
I had the bleu cheese & bacon burger with fries. The crisp of the bacon, lettuce, onion whisps and a toasted bun brought this burger to perfection 👌
All burgers are named after Motorcycles (I've forgotten the name of the one I ordered).
You can choose 1/4 or 1/2 pound.

Great food, friendly server, surprisingly varied menu. If you don’t do stairs, go around to the “back door” lower level.

This place has great food and a fun, biker atmosphere. The location is kind of tucked away in downtown Cokato, a quarter mile South of 12. If street parking is full, there is a lot around the corner. It is a walk-in, seat-yourself, sit-down restaurant & bar. There is a nice screened-in porch where you can sit if you're a smoker, or if you don't mind the smell of tobacco smoke. You can find a barrel of peanuts by the bar with metal bowls on top so you can take some to your seat if you want. They have a standard selection of beer with some favorites and some more well-known local brews in the mix. The unique selection of burgers are very good. They have wraps, salads, and other items if you aren't in the mood for a burger. One very good side that I have had there is the mac & cheese bites: macaroni, bacon pieces, and pepper-jack cheese breaded and fried - very tasty. The quickest that I have been in and out of that place at lunch is about 25 minutes, but obviously that depends more on you than them. The way this bar is set up makes it a less than ideal place to bring kids, especially little kids. There are not a lot of large tables, many of the seats are stools, and I haven't ever seen a booster seat or a highchair but they may be hidden. All around, this is a great local place to eat if you happen to be in the area.

Wonderful experience for the four of us tonight. Great food, friendly service and would highly recommend. It will be a go to destination for many future meals and gatherings. Nice beer selection. They care about customers and making this an enjoyable evening.

Victoria has made the best damn burgers. I highly recommend you go in when Victoria's working. It will be a guarantee that you get the best plate of food you've ever had there!!!!

The food was great, I didn't have any drinks as I was working and it was lunch. It's a nice place, the service was great, and I definitely would go again/ recommend it.
