RedNeck 'Meats' BBQ

The food here is delicious with very large portions. Today I had grilled cheese with tomato and ham and roasted red pepper soup. My son had a hamburger with shredded pork on top (forgot the exact name) and a side of beans. The beans were smoky, not sweet, which was a treat. The food is served on wax paper on a cafeteria tray which is unique and fun. Tyler was our server again and he delivered A+ service. Social distancing and masks were in place and we felt very comfortable there. You need a couple of extra napkins and the burger appropriately camewith wetnaps!

Service was exceptional, food was awesome. The interior was bright and inviting. Deserving of 5 stars. I'll be going back with my family next time.

The Lance was absolutely phenomenal! The Dilly Coins (fried pickles) were the perfect appetizer. Great service too! Jessica was an excellent waitress and extremely personable. Will absolutely be back!

Great pulled pork BBQ sandwich and very generous portions. Great staff. Spend $ here! Homemade fries too!

We were a party of three. Loved the Server. So friendly. Our food was great! My only suggestion is that you change your french fries. They were very greasy. Not crunchy. Other than that, no complaints. We'll be back!!

While in Moose lake today, Tam and I decided to grab a quick lunch at this hole in the wall looking place called Red Neck Meats BBQ.
Turn out, it wasn’t that quick and the only thing BBQ they have on the weekday menu is pulled pork sandwiches (among other things) but the staff are more than make it up with super friendly smiles and the portions were generous; as in seriously huge!
I used to be pretty well traveled so I will say this with all the seriousness of the occasion: the Kansas City style pulled pork I had here was one of the best I’ve ever had.. top 3 for sure and what a pleasant surprise to have such a treat in the least unlikely places.
Needless to say, I am looking forward to coming back on the weekend for the more classical stuff because now, I have to know!
I’d come back just for the deep fried pickles.. done right.
Highly recommended this little restaurant if you are into BBQ.

Fantastic place to grab a bite near some great state parks. Super friendly service and excellent pulled pork sandwiches. Had the special Cuban-style pulled pork and it was impeccable. Homemade french fries were awesome as well. Do yourself a favor and turn off at the Moose Lake exit and grab some BBQ - its only 5 minutes from the ramp and a stones throw from Moose Lake State Park (and other nearby state parks like Banning).

Some of thee best food i have had in a long time. The prices were reasonable actually great. My daughter and I took a trip up to my old stomping grounds.we took the family to eat and it was a wonderful experience. The owner spent time with us . We really enjoyed our time there.

Nice staff, good food that's made with local ingredients and is fresh! Great pork sandwich!

Hey owners, I know you'll read this and are genuinely interested in feedback, so I'll tell you this... (Not a criticism, my food was GREAT!) Please make a North Carolina style red pepper vinegar sauce to go on the pork! It pairs excellent with coleslaw on a sandwich. Also, look into hush puppies as a side. (fried cornmeal fritters.) They're always a hit with BBQ down south. Cheap to make and delicious, I bet you could make a ton of money on them! I'd drive hours for some real hush puppies!

If you want a home cooked meal that will most definitely fill you up like being at grandma's then this is the place to go. Staff was very friendly and it had to be the most patriotic restaurant I have been in ever!!! Makes veterans feel very welcomed!!!

Just had the - big mess- sandwich. Was great ! There BBQ sauce is top notch. And cheese curds were awesome! Tasted like the ones at the state fair!!! Will be coming back for more after I get over this food coma!!!

Best food and friendly folks. As a kid growing up in the area it was Arts Cafe. Now RedNeck 'Meats'. The Owner was our Server. I really enjoyed our visit. My Wife and I are going to make regular visits there. Good folk good food and a good time.

We came all the time when Arts Cafe was open but this is our first trip in for bbq. Husband loves spicy and wasn't disappointed by the spicy bbq sauce. My steak was fantastic! We will definitely be back often!

This is the best bbq I have ever had. Portions are good size and prices are very reasonable. The staff and owners really care about the quality of the food and how you are treated. Very down to earth owners and staff. I live in Hibbing but will definitely make the 80 mile trip to go there again.

My husband and I have been here twice. The first time he had the chicken tenders and I had the ribeye. Chicken tenders were handbreaded, huge and positively delicious. My steak was flame-grilled (what a treat in January!), cooked perfectly, and even though it was a ribeye, there was very little fat/gristle. Portions were great and so was the price. The second time we both had the brisket platter - what a pile of smoked perfection! We've had excellent brisket in TX, and this could easily hold its own against its southern competition. And the loaded baked potatoes also deserve mention - if you're looking for a great spud heaping with bacon, cheese and sauteed onions, this is the place to get one. (Make sure you ask for sour cream - it's also homemade and so creamy and delicious!)
The only miss (both times) was the coleslaw; it's very one-dimensional and could use a little sugar. Regardless, we both were extremely happy with our meals (coleslaw is the least of our concerns when dining out) and can't wait to go back again!

We were treated to your Surf & Turf dinner on New Years Eve by Candy and Ralph Sandberg. It was delivered by Candy with hot soup, Salads and more than ample servings of potatoes/prime rib/7 large size shrimp along with a warm corn meal muffin!! We thought it was all delicious and it made our evening festive. We have heard that your ribs are really good, too, and we are anxious to try them soon. Maury and Betty Coughlin

Unbelievable food! The flavor was great, meat was super tender, and the owners and wait staff are absolutely top notch. Highly recommend stopping in!

Very tasty spot for lunch! Dog friendly patio. Nice options on the menu. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely go back to this place!

What an amazing little gem. Great food and great curbside service. Had the Lance and the Little Mess, both of which were outstanding. Will definitely be coming back!

Very diverse menu. Very personable service and evident pride in their food. Not something out of a can, the food is made from scratch with quality ingredients. Will be back.
