Matador's Pizza and Take Out

My first time here. I recently moved to the area and wish I would of known about this place sooner. I've had so many different kinds of pizza's from all over Michigan. This place is beyond thee best pizza I've ever had. The ingredients are fresh, the sauce is perfect. Crust perfect, light and fluffy on the inside and just the right amount of crispy. Toppings were nicely distributed. A good amount of cheese and pepperoni and bacon on each bite. They have a lot of amazing options and are very reasonably priced for what you're getting! I had a small pepperoni and bacon pizza. It was only $9.56 they also have calzones, cheese bread, cinnamon sticks, salads and much more. Definitely going to return!!! The customer service was amazing as well. Very clean and cute shop

I drove a baseball and softball team from Atherton schools in Burton to play against Byron. I needed supper so this was my choice. I liked that they had personal size pizza and it was a fair price. I waited in their small lobby while they baked it. I was told it'd be 15 minutes. All the employees were wearing hair nets that were neat. They even had a little table set up with napkins, paper plates, silverware and cups so if you wanted to have a picnic around the corner at the park. What a great idea if you're canoeing the river. Great little hometown place.

The gluten free pizza was a hit for my mom. Bbq and Matador pizza were excellent as always. Always friendly and cheerful.

Bryon is such a quaint village. The pizza took a bit longer to bake but was delicious. I walked around while I waited and enjoyed the beauty there was to offer. 🍃

WOW and we thought we already had the best BLT pizza in Fenton? Nope this place is outstanding. Fresh and just perfect.
Excellent place!

I came across Matador pizza while out on a long distance bike ride. It's about a 20 minute drive from my house, but I am ALWAYS in search of good pizza. I read the previous reviews and it sounded like a solid, family owned pizza place. When I called to place my order I let them know I had never ordered from them. Their team member was very helpful talking me through their menu options. I got there a little early, but my pizza was out on time, and it appeared to be a pretty busy evening for them. They were very courteous at the counter and I appreciate that the staff was wearing hair nets and the kitchen looked very clean. Thank you for that!!! I got my pizza, the Matador, and headed home. The pizza looked and tasted great!! If I compare the cost, which some reviewers have, it is slightly more than what I might pay at a chain restaurant. But for me, it was well worth it! I love supporting local businesses and frankly, the team was awesome and the pizza was too!!! I will be going back for their deep dish soon!!!

We were on our way to Byron for a fireworks display. Decided to try Matador instead of going out of our way. Toppings are generous and of high quality (real bacon, fresh mushrooms). Plenty of tangy sauce. Crust is crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, like an old school pizzaria. Great dough recipe. It is an amazing treat both hot/fresh and cold for breakfast.
Online ordering is very easy. Pizza was ready as promised. Staff was very friendly and efficient.
We will be back.
BTW, it was better than the pizza we would have travelled out of the way for.

I'll be back! Good pizza and salads after a day of golf. Not super important but, they could use a couple of new chairs outside. The lil' library is cool!
