Mary's Market Cafe & Bakery

After leaving our car at the dealership for an oil change we decided to stop by Mary’s Market to grab coffee and a quick breakfast. I truly was not expecting our breakfast to be this delicious! I ordered the avocado power skillet and my bf ordered the Southwestern Omelette, these were SO good! I was expecting our breakfast to be drenched in oil and butter just like the typical American breakfast joint. I couldn’t be more wrong. It was all egg whites, and minimal oil to nothing. Even the crepe was almost oil free. Our food was made from scratch, fresh and tasty.
They also have an area where they have a variety of toppings, from ketchup to Cholula.

The atmosphere was so bright and calm, we enjoyed our breakfast so much, sitting by the big windows with all the natural light and soft music in the background.

Overall I highly recommend Mary’s Market to anyone looking for a delicious yet healthy breakfast. We will be back soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was visiting the Rockford area and stopped in at Mary's Market Cafe & Bakery unplanned. I bought a vegan raspberry bar, thinking it looked pretty good. Turned out the raspberry bar was delicious! I subsequently decided to stop in for a light dinner the next two evenings. My create-your-own sandwiches were delicious, with fresh bread, and very generous portions of tuna! The triple berry salad was also very good, with fresh greens, berries, and a delicious poppyseed dressing! The corn and black bean salad was also a win! As far as desserts, the chocolate chunk cookie I tried was decent, as was the pumpkin pie square (though it was far too rich due to the frosting). The vegan raspberry square was definitely the winner among the desserts (I treated myself to another). As far as coffee, I only tried the decaf. But, it was excellent! The atmosphere here is quite nice, as far as coffee houses go. And there's plenty of seating. Even though one orders at the counter, like fast food, the staff clean off the dishes and waste from the tables. I imagine this might be why there were some negative reviews. If it's busy, it might be difficult to get to clearing all the tables in a timely fashion. Perhaps adding dish bins near the garbage cans would be a good idea? If customers cleared their own plates, then the staff would only need to wipe down tables, which could be a time saver. Speaking of the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful. As far as prices, I thought a few items may have been a bit overpriced. But, it was mostly a good value, especially the Market Sampler deal. Thumbs-up to Mary's Market Cafe & Bakery!

Nice place to sit down and visit. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. We are never rushed or badgers to move on. Its sort of noisy, the acoustics stink a bit but it is a minor down mark.

Soooo good !! A pecan / veggie muffin and coffee. The sweet and wonderful cashier said: " let me heat this up for you !!" ..omg how wonderful !! 2nd time ever to this place as I moved here rather recently !!! Really excellent and nice employees !! XXOO

Small Town feel, friendly staff, and amazing food!! We ordered Biscuits and Gravy with hash browns and French toast. Highly recommend!!

Telling my friends in WI this is worth coming down for. Mary's Market is always a favorite place in Rockford. I don't always get to stop. Surprised by tiramisu now available. Never had it here. It was delish. Big enough to share.

The food was great, very tasty, and the price was fair. I had a business meeting here, the service was flawless. They have more variety than I expected. I'm definitely coming back here!

Great food, quick service even with it being busy. Wonderful desserts. A new favorite place.

It was the best seafood bisque I've ever had there. My friend's wasn't. It was like she got the last bowl of a pot and I got the first of the next one. Hers was warm with very little seafood. Mine had the most I've ever had and hot

Frist time visiting, got recommended the Grecian Grilled Cheese. Delicious, loved it. Followed up with some key lime cheesecake.

Mary's market is a locally owned restaurant with a variety of tasty unique dishes. My favorite dish is the Market Avocado Tacos. There is no charge for water at this restaurant which is great. They offer speciality coffees and teas as well.

I'm not sure this place is always too expensive for me but the staff is very nice and the manager is wonderful

We stopped in for breakfast and were very happy with the food quality and service. I'm not a frequent diner at Mary's Market, so it took a little bit for me to understand the ordering, utensils, and beverages, but staff was more than willing to help when they were available.

Excellent food. Breakfast sandwich made with freshly baked bread. The corn tortillas in the breakfast tacos were incredible. The wait was long (it was a Sunday), but certainly worth it.

Today was cream of mushroom soup! There are so many different menu items. But, I cannot resist the sampler. Soup and market salad and a cookie. Or, salad, sandwich, and a cookie. Always pleasing! I also stocked up on breakfast muffins and scones! Winning!

Simply divine! Saw a vendor at the Senior Expo, eating the veggie salad, so I bought one on the way home. It was unreal. Delicious!!!

Have catered multiple family gathering events with Mary's Market and have loved it. Little expensive but ya get what ya pay for and doesnt break the bank if you split the bill with the group. Always food for our army of folks and multiple sides. Highly recommend. Also has a Beautiful in person restaurant altho I've not eaten there personally I've been inside to pickup and if the food quality is anything like our catering experience defs worth the visit also.

It was busy but the atmosphere and staff were not affected by this, meaning they still took their time and had seating. The food took a little bit of time but having something fresh is worth it. A nice spot to rest with a coffee or meet a friend
