Unfortunately got there right around closing time, so pickings were slim. Got the the red velvet cupcake and kitchen sink cookie. The red velvet cupcake was probably the best I ever had, right on the upper end of sweetness and richness if you prefer stuff not too sweet. Hard to get a great judge on atmosphere and service as it was essentially just me in there 😅

Small shop but connected to the Rockford Marketplace which has seating options. Everything slaps here. Even the day old pastries. It's like being transported to France. It's a serious treat as the pastries are delicious. My personal favorites are the peach and apricot Danishs and the unforgettable cinnamon rolls. I've literally brought a box home of the cinnamon rolls and had to get more the next day by popular demand. The biscuit sandwich is just heavenly.

I've ordered twice now from Crust and Crumbles for work meetings. They do not disappoint and the product is a lot nicer than say, bringing donuts from a national chain, with people happily impressed.

Each time I've ordered, it has been over the phone and staff have been great, explaining the products and being patient while I'm in a hurry and multitasking.

On pickup, the shop looks clean and attractive, people are happy, and there is typically a small line (which is rapidly served.) The only negative there is that later in the day their selection may be limited due to sales.

Everything I've tasted has been great and the prices are reasonable. They have become my go-to pastry place in Rockford. Cheers!

Pastries 🥐 are fresh and tasty and the turkey club sandwich was quite satisfying. It’s a cute place adjoining the indoor Rockford’s City Market, so there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the food.

Delicious pastries and breakfast sandwich, very different than you typical bakery. Top quality ingredients and flavor. Cool shared eating place, very open with two other establishments.

We went early before the rush. Highly recommend, everything we got was fantastic and will be going back again and again!

In a great location near other establishments, but has its own atmosphere. So far I have tried the caramel latte cruffin, a number of the tarts with the dark chocolate raspberry being my favorite so far, the pain au chocolat, and the turkey sandwich with added basil avocado aoli on the side. Everything has been quite tasty so far. I love how the tarts have a buttery savoriness that pairs really well with the sweetness and tartness of the fillings. My favorite item so far is the cruffin

I went into Crust & Crumble to get croissants for breakfast. Delighted to find they have a lunch menu. The portabella sandwich was the best I've ever had. The foccacia was heavenly, the flavors lit up my mouth, and the portabella genius to slice it rather than having huge under cooked cap to eat. As a vegetarian I know a good portabella sandwich. Bonus: I bought two croissants for breakfast tomorrow. Beautifully laminated with a light crusty crunch when you bite into it. Will have to find another excuse to go to France....the croissants in Rockford are top notch.

This is my favorite bakery in the Rockford area, and I highly recommend their pastries! They are always experimenting with new seasonal pastry combinations. I always have a tough time choosing what to buy so I just get a box with a little bit of everything. I would eat here every day if I could!

A clean modern space with a nice selection of freshly made treats and meals. I was introduced to their breads at the city Market, and I try to grab a loaf or some breakfast whenever I'm near. My favorite morning selection is the morning buns, with a light citrus and cinnamon flavor. Drop in and give them a shot!

The vegan options on Wednesdays are killer and such a cute atmosphere! Our sandwiches and pastries were all so delicious!

Finally made it here after planning to try it for months! Only thing I'm sorry about is we didn't try it sooner. Both the breakfast croissant and biscuit sandwiches were delicious and didn't get soggy on the brief drive home. The morning buns were layered with lots of cinnamon and sugar with a light citrus flavor. They were really busy on a Saturday morning, so I would definitely call ahead of you can!

The baked goods here are unmatched! The staff is so incredibly kind, sweet, and friendly. Their lunch and breakfast options are so satisfying and taste out of this world. I would also recommend getting their pizza on pizza night, and chicken pot pie on pie night. It is curiously the best chicken pot pie I have ever had. Their flavor combos are so unique and good.

I stumbled across this while looking for a bakery during a visit to Rockford on business. This is one of the best bakeries I've ever been to! If you live in Rockford (or even if you don't), you need to go... now! The highlight was, I think it's called a cruffin (that may be wrong, I was overwhelmed by the taste!). It's croissant dough cooked in a muffin pan filled with a vanilla cream and dusted with sugar. It's absolutely stunning, simply perfect!!!! I can't wait to come back!

Wow!…lots of delicious pastries. Loved the scones, cinnamon buns and cruffins (croissant muffins filled with pastry cream) Though my fav were the biscuits & gravy 🤤😋!

The best pastries I’ve ever tried in town!! So fresh and delightful! Love the atmosphere of the place and the workers are the kindest! Wish you guys the best because you honestly deserve it!

Great little bakery downtown! We love their pastries, but now they have a delicious lunch menu too. Hopefully we'll get to the pizza & beer night one of these months.

My husband and I couldn't decide between a lot of the items, so we decided to get the breakfast pizza, breakfast croissant sandwich, chocolate croissant and the cinnamon roll. We loved trying a little bit of each one. We cannot wait to come back, especially for the breakfast pizza. My husband said it is some of the best breakfast pizza he has ever had.
