Rockford Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Rockford OMS)

On Feb 7, 2024 I had a lower molar removed. Everything went smoothly and I was out in under an hour. Post surgery instructions were clear and helpful. Prescribed pain medication prevented pain once the Novocaine wore off. There was a little swelling which was easily controlled with on and off use of a cold pack. I would highly recommend Rockford OMS for oral surgery. 👍👍👍👍👍

Had to have my first ever tooth extracted today and I was terrified. But, Dr. Bruksch was amazing! He did such a great job. Highly recommend.

Today was my second visit with the last one 5 years ago. My husband has also had a procedure done here. We have nothing but good things to say about everything and everyone there. We also have a great team at Stewart Family Dentist that first sent us here. Thank you for everything!

I struggled FOR MONTHS to find a dentist that would remove a very painful impacted tooth for me because I’m pregnant. I haven’t been able to eat, or sleep for weeks. I called, having never been a patient there before, and got a same day appointment. I don’t have dental insurance so I had to pay out of pocket as well, and they were BY FAR the most fairly priced. 485$ for an extraction that I was quoted over 2,000$ for. The receptionist was so sweet and assured me that I was in good hands. The dental assistant who took care of me WENT above and beyond to walk me through everything that was about to happen. I have the worst dentist related anxiety, and especially with being pregnant, my emotions were all over the place. The doctor himself went above and beyond to make me as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately even with numbing I was still in incredible pain, and ended up crying and completely embarrassing myself. The dentist got the tooth out in less than 10 minutes. I have never been treated so nicely, and made so comfortable at the dentist before. Thank you guys so much. 🤍

Dr. Altman is extremely honest and helpful. It shows that he takes pride in his career and what he does for people. I have had nothing but great service from everyone there every time I've gone in. I highly recommend him if you're in need of an oral surgeon. He will not steer you in the wrong direction. I'm grateful I was told about Rockford OMS because they honestly helped changed my life. I was in so much pain and was miserable, and he did what was necessary to fix it for me.

Dr. Bruksch is awesome! He removed my son's wisdom teeth, my daughter's wisdom teeth and they recovered wonderfully, thank you for the great work and wonderful office people that care!

My husband was referred to this office for removal of his wisdom teeth. We were SO pleased with our experience! The office was very clean, & modern. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind from the moment we scheduled the appointment to the check-in/check-out process. Cindy informed us ahead of time of the cost upfront we’d have to pay for the surgery. I was SO thankful she gave us a heads up so that we were prepared ahead of time! (Paying up front is NOT unusual for dental/oral surgery.) Dr Bruksch was the surgeon for my husband’s case. He and his assistant Mackenzie were so pleasant, and explained everything in great detail. We never felt we were left in the dark about costs, risks, post-op, etc. We were fully informed about the entire process of the surgery and felt very safe about our decision in choosing this practice. My husband’s case was a bit more complex than we had hoped for, and Dr Bruksch made sure he took the most conservative and safe approach to his surgery. To be HONEST, my insurance was out of network with this surgeon but I STILL chose to send my husband here because I’d rather have my husband in the hands of the best surgeons, than send him elsewhere. I wouldn’t dare try another oral surgeon in Rockford or surrounding areas. We were that pleased with our experience here!

5 stars across the board! I rarely leave reviews but I had to leave a review for them because the care that I received was beyond 5 star. The front desk staff were so professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Patricia helped me to be seen the same day because I went to a general dentist who couldn’t help me because of the shape of the root of the tooth, and I was in extreme pain. My insurance wouldn’t cover the procedure and I just knew that I was gonna have to pay a hefty penny to get the tooth out. Nope! It was so affordable!
Now about Dr Bruksch (the dentist who manhandled that annoying tooth). He is the LEBRON JAMES of oral surgery! He and his assistant had that tooth out in 3 minutes! If you are searching for an oral surgeon, look no further. I would refer anyone to them because they are top notch!

Dr. Rentschler spent time with my daughter, made her feel comfortable and explained why her wisdom teeth should come out and how he would go about it. It took about 45 minutes and then 20 minute recovery. All the staff were very patient and kind. My other daughter had her wisdom teeth out a few months ago and healed very well. I would recommend this doctor and his practice.

These folks are absolutely amazing! They dealt with my craziness and sent me on my way. I would recommend them to everyone! I am scared to death of the dentist and now not so much! Thank you Dr. Aaron you made my life that much better!

A great greeting when we walked in at 7:15 AM. They were thorough in explaining what was going to be done to both our kids ( 18 & 21) removal of wisdom teeth. The Home instructions for post surgical care were easy to understand. In less than 24 hours one of the doctors called to see how my daughter was doing since her tooth was extremely difficult to remove. Overall we are very happy with our care and the doctors and staff !

Super friendly and professional staff. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed Dr. Bruksch covered every possible outcome, my removal was difficult still had me in and out in about an hour. Everything turned out perfect, the next day I had very little pain. I highly recommend them!

I was super worried about my surgery but it went amazing! I had no pain at all afterwards and everyone was so surprised. One of the employees named Wendy calmed me down the whole time and made me feel less worried about the whole thing. She was very calming and reassuring. Dr. Bruksch did awesome and explained everything perfectly. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Dr. Rentschler removed my sons wisdom teeth and explained things well and making things feel at ease. He did a wonderful job. The staff was phenomenal and beyond compassionate and accommodating! Can not say enough good things! Thank you!

My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Rentschler. Everything went very well. All of the staff were courteous, professional and friendly. Dr Rentschler did a wonderful job. He made sure to answer all of our questions and helped to calm any concerns. The procedure went very well and my daughter is recovering quickly.

This is the second time I have visited their office. Both times were to get a tooth extracted. I have to say that both of my visits were spectacular. As soon as I walked in the door I felt at ease. There's just a feeling that you're in good hands with how you are treated as soon as you enter. When you are taken to the back to be looked at everything is clean and organized. The doctors are straightforward, polite and comforting. This place is everything that you would hope for. I will forever be coming back here for any dental surgery that I might need in the future. I have been very happy with OMS. We as a family have had a couple procedures done with Dr. Bruksch. My husband is about to have a big surgery with him and has felt very comfortable leading up to it. Thank you for caring for you patients!

The surgeon who did my son's wisdom tooth extraction called after hours just to make sure that everything was going okay. Super high class and awesome medicine. Office staff, techs and surgeons are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
