Nathan is an amazing business owner who has made every effort to turn a hard time in our life into one of remembrance and support. He is so very kind and respectful when including everyone's wishes into a final good-bye. We had him cremate our family member and he also spoke at her graveside service in freezing temperatures on a Saturday afternoon. Cost is reasonable and he has a great business that he personally oversees and every little detail is taken care of. Forever grateful, family of Rita and Bill Welch.

Nathan was truly the greatest most kind person to myself and my sisters when my son suddenly died. He was on his way to the crematorium when I called and asked if I could put a letter for my son to be with him during the cremation process, he literally turned around and met with me to make sure that letter went with my son. He couldn’t have possibly been any kinder and so accommodating. Very professional and very caring. I am grateful to have had him take care of my son.

Nathan's calm, caring demeanor and professionalism made such an impact on our family. He went out of his way to accommodate us at the most difficult time in our lives. I can't imagine a better person to have taken care of my nephew though the cremation process.

From the very first phone call to the day of service and burial, Nathan brought a sense of comfort and peace to a very difficult time for myself and my sisters. Nathan helped with EVERYTHING, had the answers to all our questions, was patient when we needed to make decisions, and very attentive to every detail as we discussed our Mom. He wrote an obituary that was beyond our expectations, just from listening to us talk about our Mom. We will forever be thankful for the way he took care of her and us during this very difficult time. Everything was Beautiful just like our Mom. Forever grateful for Nathan and Christenson.

We intended to call Christenson Funeral Home to discuss services but mistakenly called someplace else and made an appointment. When we arrived at Christenson, we discovered our mistake but Nathan at Christenson took care of us immediately and was very caring and professional. He listened to us and suggested things that would accommodate our needs well. He worked with us on costs and allowed us to have a service that was much better than we could have expected. Throughout the planning process, Nathan responded to our calls immediately and helped us with details even in the days after the services. He accommodated a large attendance at the service, with ease. The funeral home itself is well maintained and really very beautiful. I would highly recommend Christenson Funeral Home.

The Christenson Funeral Home helped with the death of our mother. We dealt with Nathan from our first call to weeks following the service. Kind, compassionate and extremely helpful are just a few words to describe this young man. The attention to detail from the cards to the flowers, everything was handled with dignity respect and true professionalism. The facilities are beautiful and made us feel right at home. Having to use Christenson for 3 funerals in the past 2 years for my family's needs, I always recommend them to everyone. Nathan and his amazing staff are very caring and compassionate people, helping you figure out the little steps adding comfort and reassurance during a difficult time. Nathan and his team were so wonderful and I can't recommend them enough. We just had a funeral for our grandmother and we were worried about being able to execute the Serbian traditions here in the states, but they worked with us and were so detail oriented and for such a sad occasion it went seamlessly. Thank you doesn't suffice for all the hard work they did. Also, the fees are the most competitive in town I would highly recommend them to anyone in the process of preplanning or planning a current funeral.

From the minute my daughter talked to them on the phone, too when we were there in person. Nathan made us feel comfortable. Never pushed us never up saled. My son had just died and I didn't know what to do. I didn't have a lot of money either. I called around to different funeral homes in the Rockford area to find out the cost and ran across Christenson Funeral Home.
I spoke with Kate and she explained the different packages available and how they could help me in my time of need. I found out they are a family run business and they work hard to make the process simple and personalized for the family as well as keeping the cost down. The funeral home had a large, decorative viewing area, lounge for the family and plenty of parking. In addition, we received additional great assistance from Nathan and Frank during the service who kept things organized and on time.
