Dr. David G. Moore, MD

Dr. Moore is the best doctor I have ever met. My mother is a former ER nurse and has been around so many doctors in her career. She accompanied me to a visit with Dr Moore many years ago and said he was one of the best doctors she has ever met as well. He is very thorough and explains everything in detail. I have always felt comfortable having him as my doctor.

I have only been to see Dr. Moore a few times but he has been so caring and is so gentle. He gets right to the point...which I appreciate.

Dr. Douglas Moore diagnosed me with vulvar vestibulitis, which is the outdated term for vestibulodynia (an idiopathic chronic pelvic pain condition).

He told me, verbatim, "I have seen people get divorced over this." I was 24 or 25 at the time and on the verge of tears. He then gave me printouts of decades old research on the condition.

I arrived for my follow-up appointment having reviewed the most recent medical research on vestibulodynia and had even printed out an online presentation that effectively summarized everything I had read. One of the co-authors of the presentation was Dr. Andrew Goldstein, Director of the national Center for Vulvovaginal Disorders.

Dr. Moore did not want to listen to me describe what I had learned, nor refer to the printout I had brought. His response was that I had to be careful with online research and that the authors of the presentation "weren't even doctors."

By failing to stay up to date with the latest research and practices, dismissing patients' concerns and knowledge, and making hurtful comments, Dr. Moore has violated his obligation to "do no harm" as a healthcare provider. He has no business providing care to patients and should either retire or be fired.
