Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church

Beautiful! Have baptized my entire family here converted from atheism/ agnosticism/ new age nonsense whatever you want to call it. It’s all falsity! The truth is the person of Jesus Christ! The Orthodox Church is his body! Become part of His Body! There is an influx in Orthodoxy especially the younger generation, if you are here reading this you know why! You don’t have to be Greek, we are not, neither are many other converts. We are here building a community with many different types of people and ages there are a lot of young children running around. Some of the service is Greek but a lot is English. It is good to have traditional Byzantine style chanting in the Divine Liturgy! If you are an inquirer it can be a lot to take in… call and leave a message for Fr Tom, He will get back to you and help guide you even if you just want to see what’s going on. If you are thinking of doing it DO IT it’s the most important thing in all of our lifes… The God-Man Jesus Christ!

There’s lots of uncertainty in the world with many conflicting views amongst jurisdictions and clergy as well as modern heresies… this is nothing new in Church history. Many of these concerns are valid but it’s important to note there are bad apples in every jurisdiction. Don’t avoid a parish simply because of its jurisdiction lol. Now if the priest is preaching heresy and something contrary to the patristic mind of the church by all means RUN!! One must be cautious and use discernment… all that is to say Fr Tom (Athanasios) is the real deal and an absolute Godsend that cares for the salvation of your soul… Glory to God!

Rockford's own Greek Orthodox church. Services are in both Greek and English. The hymns are amazing in the original Greek and the English translation is there so you can see what's being sung. In addition hymns that are repeated are sung alternating between Greek and English. Services are the traditional Orthodox Divine Liturgy on Sundays as well as various other special services throughout the year.

I was introduced to this beautiful church and it's parishoners while beginning my conversion to Holy Orthodoxy. I can't say enough good things about. It is warm and welcoming and filled with beauty and praise. It is a gem in Rockford.

A magnificent orthodox church in the middle of Rockford. Upon entering the church you are greated with magnificent icons of our savior, Jesus Christ, and icons of the various Saints.

Fr. Peter Sarolas has the pleasure of leading this church. He is a good man that is friendly and knowledgeable of the Orthodox faith.

This Church is also host to the Annual "Rockford Greek Fest", which is open to everyone free of charge.

Just another fine example of a splendid Orthodox Church in the Rockford region.
