Nettie's Mercantile (formerly Restoration Café)

My husband & I ate late lunch there for first time. The staff was so friendly, the atmosphere was decorated with a feeling of home & was clean. The ham & swiss sandwich with the potato salad was very delicious. We were impressed. We normally go by on Saturday but not open that day. This was a Friday & the timing worked out perfect. We also had a mocha mint iced latte & anniversary cupcakes. This food & drink was super too. You deserve a gold star folks!!!

Delicious, affordable, friendly, and safe. Great menu. The staff remembers their customers and makes a point to get to know you. One time, I complimented them on their homemade slaw and they sent me home with a bowl of it!

Nice place to sit and enjoy coffee and a bite to eat. They are very clean here and the staff are very friendly. I would ignore that one bad review that person left..I believe just another person holding a grudge for not getting his way. I saw nothing but a nice clean place.This is a great place to meet up for coffee after doing errands and enjoying the holidays activities downtown . It's a quaint place.

New manager can make cupcakes that are out of this world. I would post a picture but I ate it so fast I never had a chance. Great to stop in for a quick lunch too.

I loved the place! I'm a bit critical when it comes to some places. For my first time coming, I can definitely say it's an amazing, lovely, welcoming and cozy café. Absolutely I'd come here again.

Daily $5 specials! Service by "restorees" from mission of aiding homeless people. Great teas, chef makes good menu choices for wide ranging tastes. Profits go directly to mission services. Great deal all around!

I love the restoration café. Staff are all amazing and polite. The food is excellent and the Jamaican me crazy coffee blend is worth the trip to downtown Rockford.

What could be better? You are not only supporting a local business, you are helping change lives as you support the Rockford Rescue Mission. The Restoration Café is very attractively decorated, with items for purchase, and a great tasting menu. Stop in for coffee or lunch and be sure to tell your friends. In fact, bring them with you!

Had the ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Plenty of egg plenty of meat, on a croissant great sandwich. The staff was cordial and polite and very respectful of the customers.

Very special place and great coffee. You can smell the aroma from the door. I felt very welcomed there.

This is a great place to eat and also to help out the homeless in downtown. It is near the court house so a perfect place to eat while on jury duty.

Great space with lots of tables. Friendly staff. They even have a smart room available. Breakfast items and pastries are always delicious.

Always a favorite spot for lunch downtown westside. Staff are welcoming. Love selection of sandwiches. Even went for dessert and it was delicious.

I have always LOVED their oatmeal shakes. They are amazing and I've never found them anywhere else.
