SO welcoming and genuinely cares about people. This is a diverse community that desires to grow and learn from each other. My spouse and I love being members here. We are so thankful for the ways they affirm and support us in our faith as followers of Christ and as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The worship and spiritual formation opportunities offered are thoughtful, uplifting, and spiritually compelling. Emmanuel truly seeks to embody the good news of God's grace and love.

I grew up in this church, and even though I’m now in New Jersey, I remain connected. We had our wedding ceremony at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in December 2018. Their staff was so kind and accommodating for us while we planned our wedding from out of state. They helped to make our wedding weekend as special as possible, and ELC is absolutely stunning!

They have great food pantry it helps. Also i felt good going in knowing noone will judge. They respect and welcome the LGBQT as well unlike most churches.

I find myself struggling more everyday to survive, so I decided to go to the Emanuel Lutheran Church food wow I was so impressed so blessed, thank you so much for the great care package.

Beautiful sanctuary with excellent acoustics. A little cramped for our Messiah performances, but the sound is worth it.

A great older Lutheran Church in the Rockford area with a beautiful high ceiling sanctuary that's filled with craftsmanship that you just don't see in newer churches.
