This is easily the best restaurant in Rockford and one of the best I've been to in quite some time, period. Their cocktails are wonderful, service is on-point, and the ambiance is very intimate (perfect for date night or special occasions). Cheese curds are incredible, tuna crudo is very good, the "fancy potato" was outstanding, and dessert couldn't have been better (the molten chocolate cake is decadent, and their floating meringue blew our minds). Dining here was an unexpected delight; I would highly recommend Abreo to practically anyone. 5's all around.

We had our mini wedding reception dinner at Abreo, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Krystle went above and beyond with communication with us before we went, and was really flexible and accommodating when I needed to change some things a little before the day. The food was amazing, all of our guests were so impressed with both the food and the restaurant, and Krystle and chef Paul worked with us to make a delicious wedding cake for dessert. Thank you for topping off a fabulous day!

Abreo has wonderful artisan cuisine downtown Rockford with friendly staff who are happy to explain their dishes with locally sourced ingredients. The best way to experience is to order a bunch of plates to share. The winter menu had some wonderful choices to satisfy everyone and the drinks were creative with great flavor profiles.

So lucky to have had the honor of Abreo as our wedding dinner! All we wanted was great food, better drinks, and cozy atmosphere! We got even more than that… candlelit in the wine cellar was breathtaking and even more perfect than anything I could have an imagined. Karen and Paul made it so easy to coordinate vendors and accommodations. Abreo is the heart of downtown Rockford, and forever in ours for the literal best evening.

I loved my dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and I liked the warm lighting. Our waiter gave us excellent menu recommendations. I thought the shrimp gnocchi was delicious and seasoned very well. Everything was robust in flavor. I liked the creme brulee dessert too. It was beautifully topped with slivered almonds and blueberries. The custard itself had a little lemon zest that paired perfectly with vanilla. I can tell this restaurant prepares every dish very carefully. They pay attention to detail. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try something out in Rockford. Very friendly staff too! 10/10!

Oh my god. This place is INCREDIBLE. One of the best meals I've had in my life. The cocktails were truly crafted to perfection. The food was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Definitely recommend this place if you find yourself in Rockford, IL.

Went to an event at abreo and we had a great time! 5 courses and each course was paired with a rum cocktail. Food was great, drinks were strong and the experience was fun. We will definitely be checking their Instagram page for more upcoming events!

The food is delicious, the drinks are divine. The service is perfect, especially Abraham, he's really professional and attentive. The occasional wine tasting events in the cellar are a good time with good appetizers.

What an absolutely amazing evening full of delightful culinary treats and delicious drinks. Everything we experienced from the moment of entry with the amazing services to every dish, fresh and superb! Thank you to all at Abreo. We are absolutely coming back!! The fritters, the apple salad, the halibut and hot chicken, and chili donut were amazing. And don’t even get me started on the drinks! Hicory Stick and Masala - creative and yummy!!

The atmosphere right away was drop dead gorgeous, we were waited on quickly and our server Dan was obviously a seasoned pro. He knew all there was to know about wine, and offered me his recommendation when I wasn't sure what to get. The food is great, fresh, vivid, flavorful and you leave without feeling too full.

We were running very late for our reservation on a busy night... but the staff made it work and with bells! Seriously they made my birthday extra special with accommodating my husband and me, service and food were all phenomenal!!! I really want to go back when we can spend more time.

The food is eclectic, served tapas style or small plate. Great for sharing and trying many different things. There were a lot of options to pick from. And really, not a lot before feeling very full.

Went for my first time and it was amazing, i would give it a 10/5 for service, our server was tammy and she was the best!! The spicy chicken was the best chicken i have ever had!! Definitely coming back

Very fancy date night restaurant. I didn’t really know what to order but it was still good the cocktails were so beautiful and I’m big on making sure my drink is picture worthy and taste as good as it looks. The prices were high for me not be full when I left but it was still s a good experience.

This is our go to spot for date days and/or nights. We've brought our babies too, just more fun to only feed yourself ;) The menu is consistently updated with yummy offerings. We've never left disappointed. 5 stars!

This restaurant is amazing! We have enjoyed the food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere here. Every time we show up we feel like family. The wait staff is super helpful and will offer advice on what they like and they are spot on! This is a great place to step out of the box and try something new!

Great service and food! A bit loud for normal conversation. My friends and I chose several appetizers, red wine and creme brûlée as dessert. Fun place - can’t wait for reopening of the patio!

A truly awesome experience, from our tasting at their restaurant to them adjusting their menu to accommodate every guest's dietary needs. Their food was what everyone talked about the next day. With great main dishes and excellent apps, some of which were saved for us to enjoy during the craziness of the day. Karen was great at coordinating with us to organize the day.

Great place serving up local ingredients. I had their crispy spicy chicken and it was awesome. The portion was a challenge to finish as it was a half chicken and an added bonus there were no bones! The bread pudding was a bit buttery for my taste and could have used more body/a firmer texture. Finished off the meal with homemade lemon ricotta ice cream with a blueberry swirl that was delicious as well. Wish I had known about the patio out back before the end of my meal.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Everything was tasty, and service was excellent.
