Ethnic Heritage Museum

Toured the museum and Graham Ginestra home. Lovely chunk of Rockford history. The ethnic museum represented the heritage of early Settlers that immigrated here for business. The old maps and photos were very interesting. These are some of the people the built the industry that influenced our community. Very cool.

Really great local history museum. They are open Sundays 2-4pm for guided tours, but you can always call to arrange a visit during another time. Each of the 6 galleries covers a broad range of culture for each ethnicity, including transportation, fashion, art, and contemporary history. Definitely worth a visit! I will be back soon to share the experience.

Interesting to see the diverse population of Rockford. Worth the time. Opening the Graham-Ginestra house next door for tours soon. Great history.

The tour guide us very intellectual about everything in the museum. It was larger than I expected, but not too roomy. The historical house next to it held a lot of affluent material. It was also really historically rich as well. Very interesting architectural amenities.
