Candace Waters, FNP-BC

I saw Candace on a regular basis for a couple of years, when she was in Graniteville. She provided me with excellent care and individual treatment plans not to mention very comprehensive DOT exams. She is very friendly and down to earth. I would highly recommend her to anyone, and I will be going to the new office.

I am a 78 year old woman. I have never had a doctor as caring, professional, and knowledgeable as Candace Waters. Thank you Candace for your wonderful care of me through the years.

Candace ACTUALLY CARES and takes the time to understand about YOU AND while you may end up waiting a little longer than expected but know that when she is in with you that you are getting her full attention.

Best doctor I have ever had and I am 79 years old. This office is wonderful.

It's been over a year now, but since moving back to this area I had not found a GP. I generally go to NP's & I like to do it all in one stop. I want my pap smear, lab work, medications etc. Candace Waters was recommended to me by one of my former coworkers (we are RN's) We reviewed my history & the fact a sibling had rectal cancer & I being in my 60's had never had a colonoscopy. I knew I needed one, but she did not refer me to a gastroenterology. I wanted her to do my pap smear ( I hate multiple MD visits) but she did not and said she would refer me to gyn. in Aiken. (Still waiting over a year now) She would not refill my hormone therapy which I have been on for > 5 years. Then I made the mistake of asking for a yearly supply of a total of 10 Xanax for flying anxiety. She gave me a prescription for an OTC medication I give my dog for motion sickness. I found her to be condescending and judgmental. She actually did nothing for me as a patient I felt like she did not want to have to explain to DHEC why she gave 10 Xanax ( surely all drug addicts/seekers request 10 tablets for a year) In summary: No colonoscopy, no gyn consult, no medication for anxiety when flying , no refill on my hormone therapy, no pap smear. I should have stayed home.

My first visit: Threatened to take away my anxiety and depression medication that I and my team at Aiken Barnwell Mental health center finally found that actually helps me and has taken me from being someone who cant function properly at all to someone who can now go out and live life (not perfectly but getting there), dismissed every reason I came there for and instead belittled me like a child for not having seen other doctors sooner for other reasons. I was there for help THEN, the past is the past.

Second visit I was again dismissed and talked over. Not going back. Bed side manner is ridiculous. You will not be heard. Besides, all she does is refer to other doctors anyway.

Refused to see me for a UTI without a negative covid test 🙄🙄
