The Pickled Carrot

Always great food from The Pickled Carrot. Visited the truck at East Side yesterday and had an overall great experience ordering and the food was ready faster than I expected! The Bánh Mì’s are always solid (the tofu one is fried perfectly, the eggplant is just great, and I tried the pork for the first time yesterday and it had great flavor). The V-Fries are amazing, too. Maybe I’m just a sucker for pickled carrots and daikon. Order the Far East Philly if it’s available, it’s what made me fall in love with this place.

Housed in a trailer, big things come in small packages at The Pickled Carrot. The Vietnamese food truck hasn't been on my wishlist long and I'm glad I didn't hesitate. A classic Vietnamese fare, I settled on the seasoned pork Banh-Mi, I could smell the savory pork when I walked up. The sandwich exceeded my expectations and didn't stick around long, I'm already looking forward to my next banh-mi 💯

Got a Pork Banh Mi and Egg Rolls delivered and everything traveled well. The food was still fresh and crispy, it was all delicious. The banh mi could use some more cilantro, but that might be my personal preference. The eggs rolls were really good.

The pork banh mi is full of all the flavors a person could ask for. For a smaller appetite I would get their noodles. For a splurge get the Viet Fries.

Pork Bahn Mi and Pork Egg Rolls were delicious! I’m not in Denton often but when I go back, I’m definitely coming here again. Can’t beat the atmosphere of Miss Angeline’s and Eastside!

As a former vegetarian, and current pescatarian, I've never had the opportunity to try a banh mi sandwich since they generally contain meat. We were near the square today for an Easter egg hunt and my wife suggested one of the food trucks at the event but I've been wanting to check out the Austin Street Truck Stop for a while so we headed there instead. It was a great decision as I was able to get a tofu banh mi sandwich and it was exceptional. I now understand why this sandwich is so popular and The Picked Carrot served me one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My noodle bowl with chicken was absolutely delicious. The price was reasonable ($11 with a drink) for the portion size. Will definitely return.

Great spot! Love the noodle dish with pork. So fresh, flavorful. Great if you’re looking for a light meal. The fries and banh me are also excellent (if you want something more substantial)

10/10 on the banh mi sandwich. Although it was on the small side, the majority of the filling was the delicious pork which combined with the crisp veggies, sauce, and crunchy bread was absolutely delicious. Wish I tried this place sooner as it's right around the corner from work. Will be back soon and try other items.

Genuinely one of the best food experiences in Denton. I haven’t tried a menu item I’m not obsessed with. Some of the best Egg rolls ever, the pork noodle bowl is to die for, and the loaded fries are crazy.

I used to be scared of food trucks. I think it was a 90s trope that didn't do anyone justice. Now, I eat here every time I get the chance. Everything is good. Seriously. It WILL be too hot to eat when you get it though so watch out.

I love this place and it’s 100% the best Bahn mi in town. I adore the mushroom bahn mi and just crave it from time to time. If you’re on the square or out at the bars, you have to try this food truck out.

Had a grilled pork bahn mi and I have to say, while the sandwich was delicious, the pickles were so fresh and wonderful. I will absolutely be stopping by this truck again. Very high quality, and great taste.

Awesome Vietnamese food truck. I’ve had all variety of the tacos and tried the noodles among other dishes. Quality is excellent and service is good. They get a lot of business which is a good sign of their quality and taste.
