Best Bible believing church around! I’ve been coming here since I turned 18 in 2021. An amazing place to truly know the gospel. Pastor Jenkins is a true man of God.

Fellowship is the most beautiful church I’ve ever been to, Pastor Jenkins absolutely made me enjoy going every Sunday with his amazing preaching. I went here back in June and will continue going here for the rest of my life.

My parents and I have been attending Fellowship Baptist Church for almost 2 months. Never in my whole life have I had such an amazing welcoming into a church family. The Youth Group we have here is so awesome, I couldn't ask for a better group of friends to be with. They always have a smile on there faces and are willing to help in whatever areas they can. As for our new pastor. Dr. John Jenkins his messages have been like nothing I have ever heard. So much fire and passion in his sermons. You can tell he is a true man of God. Even though people may tell false things about him. He stands up and preaches the Word of God the way it needs to be preached. The people that have come on here and degraded our church, y'all should be ashamed about the things you have said. But it doesn't matter what you guys say behind your phones because God is gonna use this Church and our Preacher to make this church grow. I love you Fellowship Family

This church has meant so much to me since I started coming back in August. It is filled with people who love others and who love God. It is truly a family church.
The pastor preaches the Bible powerfully! I never sit through a service where I’m not challenged to make a decision for God. And the music is great! The choir sings with passion, and the special music is always very good!
If you or your family are looking for a church I cannot think of a better place to get involved! Because more than anything I believe this is a place where God is at work! His blessing on this place is evident, and I believe there are so many things He has in this church’s future!

I have been a member of Fellowship Baptist Church for 18 years now. To say I love my church would be an understatement. Pastor Ennis was my pastor for 18 years and I am beyond blessed to call him my pastor. I will always be proud to say he’s my pastor! Our new pastor is a true man of God. God has used him in such a mighty way already at Fellowship!! Pastor Jenkins has really shown love to our people and shown he truly cares about our church. As a young preacher, my biggest burden for my town is Revival! We all need it! And pastor Jenkins wants the same! You may hear a lot of negative things about our new pastor, and you may think they’re true. But I believe that Pastor Jenkins came to Clayton following the will of God. And if you don’t believe it, come visit us and see the impact he has had on our church and just see how God is using him at Fellowship Baptist in Clayton.

I have attended and been an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Clayton for about a year and a half. The church family and community leaders that attend are all welcoming. Never have I been part of a church family that fears God and preaches the bible the way it is suppose to be ministered. Paster Ennis has founded and ministered Fellowship Baptist Church for over 60+ years, and has built a well-ran church with the most genuine, open-armed staff you will ever find. Words cannot describe the love, passion, humility, bible reading and applying congregation of God following people that attend this church. Pastor Ennis is known to many preachers as a Legendary Man of God, and he and his staff chose Pastor Jenkins as the next Pastor for Fellowship Baptist Church in Clayton. Pastor Jenkins has preached messages that resonate in my mind since I've first listened to him. This man is the real deal, and it is a shame evil people dare slander his name. I challenge all people that doubt, to fast and pray about your thoughts and truly allow God provide you with guidance through His will, if you are not willing to do that I pray that the Lord rebuke you with all his might. Mathew 7:21-23, Luke 13: 22-30. Pastor Jenkins is a true Man of God that God chose to help Pastor Ennis, another Man of God, takeover his ministry at Fellowship Baptist church. We are capable of doing all things through the Lord and without Him we can do nothing. I love this church and the people and we are being obedient to God and His will.

My family and I moved here to NC from our home in Kentucky 11 years ago on June 1st, 2008. We knew the first thing we needed to do was find a church to call home. Sure, like any family would, we had some preferences. We wanted good God-honoring music, preaching that came straight from the Holy Bible, a youth group for us (we were teens at the time who didn't experience hanging out with many kids our age). We searched for a few months, when we finally came to visit Fellowship Baptist Church.
The atmosphere was just so calm and friendly. We were immediately greeted and befriended, and the love that everyone showed for each other and us was nothing short of godly. We knew within a couple weeks of visiting that this would be our home church. We joined in the late fall that year.
Since joining, this church has become our family. We have grown spiritually under the guidance of our pastor of 52 years, Dr. Charles R. Ennis. He has served the Lord faithfully and given the Lord everything, and we are sad to see him step down after starting this church so many years ago, but very encouraged of the future of Fellowship under our new pastor, Dr. Jon Jenkins.
There is plenty of controversy over this, but let me say that we as a unit and a church body did NOT take this decision lightly. There was non-stop prayer and discussion for a long time over this. We had a full evening devoted to questions and answers about the very incident you have read and researched about concerning Dr. Jenkins and his church.
All the evidence led to the conclusion that there were never any charges put on him or his church, and there are no charges pending on him or his church as of today, and he has nothing to hide on the matter. He is truly a wonderful man of God, who has already made an impact that I can only describe as God sent.
My advice? Don't believe the things you read on the internet. There are trolls everywhere that only want to defile the name of the Lord, and the church. If you want to form your own opinion on the matter, come and see for yourself. God is doing something amazing in this church, and you would benefit being a part of it. Come and experience this for yourself before you form an opinion.

I have been a member of Fellowship for 17 years. I love my Church. it's awesome. I have nothing but respect for the outgoing Pastor. The new Pastor, Dr. Jenkins, is a good preacher who preaches the Word of God. As for the stuff you read on the internet, it is not always true. According to the State Police in Michigan, There is no evidence of wrongdoing by Dr. Jenkins. Furthermore, if there was evidence of wrong doing, My Church would not have voted for him. I look forward to see what God has instore for Fellowship the next 52 years!

I have been a member of fellowship baptist church for over 27 years. Our founder and previous pastor Dr. Charles Ennis started this ministry over 52 years ago. And through it all the main purpose was and is to honor God and spread the gospel. To see as many people possible lead to Christ. We have recently voted brother Jenkins as our new pastor. I believe he wants to continue with that same purpose. And ministry. Wether you have a positive or negative view of our church or pastor. Our prayer is that people come to Christ. If you are not sure what to believe please visit us at one of our services. We will be glad to have you. We look forward to see what God will do in the coming years under our new shepherd. May God bless anyone that reads these reviews and those that do not. God loves you and so does our church.

My family and I moved here in 2008. We hunted and hunted for churches and one of the main things that was important to us as teenagers was we wanted a church with kids our own age. And guess what? We found fellowship Baptist Church in Clayton NC. Not long after we visited this church we joined because it was the right church for us. Very loving and very welcoming. Now most of the reviews on here are people that haven't even visited our church let alone the state of NC. Which truly is sad. How could you even give us a review if you've never been yourself? Seems like you need to search your hearts. Half the bad reviews on here don't even know what they are talking about. But please soften your hearts and come join us next Sunday. We would love to have you 💜

This is the friendliest most loving church. We have been here over 11 years. Our new pastor is a great speaker and worth the trip to hear. Come in and decide for yourselves. We would love to have you be here next Sunday.

It’s a church full of loving people with a passion for souls! Pastor Jenkins is a godly and compassionate man of God who has been an example of how to handle horrific slander and false accusations (of no legality) with love and grace. Google reviews/attacks do not replace seeking the truth. If you want to visit a church that preaches truth and loves people, come visit!

Interesting that most (changing the word ‘most’ to ‘some of the reviewers’. Edited, now that more people have found this redirect of ill-intent. More of the truth from Clayton, NC, from the people who actually know from personal experience, is being displayed) of the reviewers have never been to Fellowship Baptist Church in Clayton, NC.....let alone, spent significant time in the State of NC. Furthermore, creating a knock-off link on the web to redirect traffic to a movement that has nearly nothing to do with FBC. Finally, not ONE conviction of Dr. Jenkins. Period. A man who has opened his arms to victims and sought justice when necessary. The lie being told that he was ‘chased from Gaylord’ is just that, an absolute lie, with zero proof....and would stand in no court of law in America. To create, essentially, a fake link to redirect web traffic in this way is the typical defense of movements with shaky foundations. Extremely sad this is the level to which some would stoop. If there is a disagreement, how about an open forum? NOT a forum that hides behind The ‘Fellowship Baptist name’ and harbors ill intent.
Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.
May God honor His Holy Word, His Perfect Son, and the man God has sent to lead our flock. We will hold his arms up when he is weak from battle.

Also adding to this discussion.....echoing a few of the others who have commented......the best way to determine truth is to come visit FBC and meet some of the people and listen for yourself. Opinions are better formed when experiencing a matter openly, objectively, and in person. The doors at Fellowship have always been open to all. No exceptions made for race, creed, religion, etc. God is not isolated to any special group.

Finally, my comments are made in humility. Understanding that I am human, and as such, make my own mistakes. My heart aches for victims, especially in cases where children are victims. There is no excuse for abusing children. Ever. I have two daughters who are grown now. I can’t imagine how I would have felt or reacted if either of them had ever experienced sexual abuse. I don’t, for a second, believe Pastor Jenkins ever committed such an act nor that he stood by and knowingly let such acts occur. I also know that Fellowship voted, by overwhelming majority, to ask Pastor Jenkins to consider coming to Clayton, NC. This vote, only after weeks of prayer and full disclosure of the accusations. This particular web link only reinforces my belief that people will post things online not knowing details. The things I read concerning Fellowship and the chain of events surrounding our recent transition absolutely reaffirms my belief that lies abound. I remain convinced that evil exists when good men stand idle and do nothing. I do believe that, God ultimately fights our battles but I also believe we have the ability to peacefully inform people and invite them to see for themselves.
