I’ve gained a greater understanding and appreciation for high quality wines thanks to Seagrape Wine Co. And that doesn’t always come at an expensive price point thanks to the knowledgeable staff and owner. I’m so thankful a community driven and fun wine shop exists in my town. Make sure to participate in their food/wine events which happen regularly. I’ve met so many wonderful people at these gatherings!

Highly recommend, I’ve been going here for years and I wouldn’t buy my wine anywhere else.

It was the first time for my wife and I visiting Seagrape wine company in Sarasota Florida, we were looking for a special Sauvignon Blanc and our search took us there, once we walked in we were welcomed by a very great collection of wines, displayed with great organization we were so impressed. The owner asked us if we needed any help, and it showed instantly he was very educated in all the types of wines, unfortunately he was sold out of the wine we were looking for and he suggested 2 Sauvignon Blanc from France, we had both wines for dinner with friends, they were of exquisite taste. The store offers also a seat and drink of the wines you buy, we found that a great idea and look forward returning to the store and trying it. The wines collection was excellent, what also made Seagrape and Company stand out was their Customer Service, from a scale of 1 to 10 they were a HUGE 11!!!

By far the best wine store in Sarasota, if you like a curated wine selection. The knowledgeable staff always suggests the right match with your food or the party you need to bring wine too. They have a great selection of European wines, focused on terroir. The domestic wine selection is also wonderful, if you like that stuff. Their prices are among the best in the US. The shop also looks nice and you can buy really good and well priced Spanish oil. A great place in Sarasota.

One of the things I appreciate about wine is its almost infinite variety. I enjoy being surprised by the flavor of a rare or lesser-known grape, or a wine made using an unusual process in an out-of-the-way place. I don't buy wine by the case because I don't want to have to drink twelve bottles of the same thing.

This makes Seagrape an ideal wine store for me. They are constantly bringing in small lots of interesting and reasonably priced wines, and featuring them in an entertaining, informative, and well produced email newsletter. Each week I look forward to reviewing their new featured wines, and I am often inspired to visit the store to pick up one or two bottles.

Sometimes I have difficulty choosing which wines to buy, and they are always friendly and helpful, very generous with their time even though I'm just buying a bottle or two. In season they host some modestly-priced dinners where people can sample wine from a featured vineyard.

Seagrape is more than a wine store -- it's part of a terrific experience and education in wine as well, owned and run by people who love wine and share that enthusiasm with their customers.

Seagrape Wine Company is a pleasure to visit and where I plan to shop next time. Thomas, the owner, is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My previous go-to wine now has a competitor that Thomas recommended in a similar price point and that is more interesting.

This store’s staff is amazing. Thomas and his team are among the most knowledgeable wine people I’ve met. They find incredible value and wonderful small vintners that expand your own wine knowledge. Highly recommend Seagrape!

We live out of state and needed a bottle of wine delivered to family in Sarasota for a birthday gift. They were wonderful to help me with a selection and set up a delivery for the next day. But to my embarrassment, I gave an old address. When they attempted this delivery and were informed that this person had not lived there for a few years, Seagrape Wine Company quickly called me. I was able to furnish them with the correct address (with many apologies!) and they quickly delivered the wine to the correct place!
They could have been very irritated with me since it probably caused a delay and should have accounted for an extra delivery fee. But they went above and beyond to make sure my purchase arrived where it needed to go and without hesitation. Kindness and caring sure came through!
It is rare these days to find such great customer service and people who care. Next time I am in Sarasota, I will definitely make a special trip to enjoy their wines in person!

First time stopping in to Seagrape Wine Co. and it most certainly will not be our last. Thomas was so welcoming, and their selection is unlike anything in the area. We are lucky to have such a community-minded place with incredible, hand-produced wines at a very accessible price point.

Best wine store I've ever been to in my life. These guys are truly passionate about wine, and it shows. Everything they've recommended has been simply stunning. The wines here are so much better than the average stuff sold in most stores.

A friendly neighborhood wine shop!!. Expect a warm welcome upon arrival. Both Thomas and Fred are incredibly knowledgeable, they have great recommendations and great insights into all the wineries and wines they sell.
I love the wines they helped me pick. Both the red and white they recommended were delicious. Finally, I get to enjoy buying wine instead of just checking it off my list. Not just great wine store but a great experience. Highly recommend stoping in.

LOVE Thomas & the Team at Seagrape! I was SO happy to find them when I moved to Sarasota from DC (a place with tons of wine shops & expertise). Not only does Thomas have a great selection, he & the Team are super knowledgable & generous with that knowledge. Go visit them!

Seagrape is a gem. Affordable wines, expert advice and wonderful weekly wine events. Thomas and his team are "top drawer" and ready to help with wines they have in stock or special order for you at the best prices around (including better than I find online).

I called Seagrape last minute on a Friday for a wine delivery for my friends to celebrate them moving to Sarasota. Thomas was so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. They got my delivery out right away. My experience was above and beyond what you hope it would be. Cannot wait to check them out in person next time we are in town!

Thomas and Fred have been an invaluable source of wine knowledge for myself and my husband. We began to explore and learn about wine during Covid (fun!) and we have been so so fortunate to have found Seagrape! We have never felt snobbiness in the shop and both Thomas and Fred have been so great, giving of their time and their knowledge to help us learn about wines from various regions and to help us hone in on what type of wine we prefer and why. This has helped us with purchasing wines on our travels and when we dine out. The atmosphere is very friendly and casual, you can purchase and sip in the store and chat with the staff and other customers and they have great pop-up food truck and other food events throughout the year. I highly recommend Seagrape to anyone, expert and novice alike! I am writing this as I sip a delicious rosé from the shop! ;)

Best selection of small production, hand-crafted wines in all of Sarasota and Manatee counties. The entire inventory is curated by Thomas Morgan, a wine professional with first hand knowledge via his years spent working as a manager at the venerable Kermit Lynch import company. The inventory is broad based, geographically, and deep in producers putting quality above quantity, many of whom use organic, minimalist intervention farming techniques. The store is well laid out with a youthful vibe that makes it a pleasure to visit. Bravo Thomas, chapeau bas.

Seagrape is my favorite wine store anywhere, no contest. When I moved to Sarasota, I was lucky enough to live just a short walk away, and stops into the shop became a regular part of my routine. Sadly, I now live in Philadelphia, but Thomas and Fred continue to help me drink better wine (even from afar!). No other wine shop will ever compare!
