The Old Salty Dog Siesta Key

Have eaten here a few times. Always receive great customer service. Have eaten inside outside and at the bar. They do allow dogs outside only. Everything we have gotten from here has been delicious. I did try the old salty dog when they deep fry it and a Caesar salad this time and my son got the kids macaroni and cheese and fries. This is a place you should try if you're into hot dogs. Plus they do have other food that is delicious also and try the pineapple coleslaw.

Chill laid back vibe with delicious food. Coconut shrimp appetizer, shrimp po boy, and the special shrimp macaroni were all delicious! Will go back again next time we are down.

Just up the road a bit in the Siesta Key Village - Food was great, service wonderful, and a casual atmosphere makes this place a nice option for dinner or lunch & drinks. Burgers are char-grilled to perfection and we also enjoyed crispy tacos with grouper. Yummy!

I recently visited Old Salty Dog in Siesta Key, and it was a fantastic experience. The laid-back, beachside atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal with a view. Stopped in for lunch and Nixon took great care of us!! Food was great. Perfect day for lunch outside.

Absolutely loved this charming establishment! The dog theming tips you off to it’s dog friendly policy immediately. The tables have dog bowls on top of them holding the condiments. They even have a doggy menu which is amazing. The staff promptly brought my little guy a bowl of water and a crunchy bone to welcome him. The food did not disappoint either. Fantastic salad with fresh fish. The wine prices were extremely reasonable as well. Two paws up!

Genevieve was phenomenal! She was on the ball, friendly, courteous, professional, attentive, and everything in between! If you have the pleasure of dinning here, be sure to request her. Our family was so pleased and she will very much be a part of our trip that we do not forget! We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time before we left! We wish her nothing the best!

I am super happy that we select this place, the fish and chips, the clam shoulder and the fry calamari are to die for, also the Moscow mule and the Margaritas make the full experiencia a paradise for a foodie , sorry some place said the camera ear first but was soo delicious that we didn’t have time to take pictures

Visiting here for work! Absolutely stunning people here! From the moment walked in greeted by 3 people and promptly seated! I had the Clam Chowder and was amazed at the genuine quality it held to the New England Chowder! Definitely try this! And then for my Maine entree I had the Loaded Salty Dog! I must say it was delicious out of bounds goodness! See pics! My server Jay was amazing, took great pride in his job, his appearance was very professional and his knowledge and recommendations were spot on! Thanks Jay

service was slightly slow but when we did get our food it was amazing and fresh! poor waiter looked a bit overwhelmed but was very apologetic and kind

Everything about The Salty Dog in Siesta Key was excellent. They made us and BOTH of our large dogs (GSD and Lab) feel very welcome and comfortable. As a pet owner, this is the best restaurant we’ve been to! From the available clean water bowls to their own menu, my boys want to go back. Every Day.
Oh, and our food was amazing!!!

My family tried the captain's platter, grouper special, filet and shrimp, the fried hot dog, and the chowder. EVERYTHING was so great! The only thing that wasn't our favorite (unanimously) was the pineapple coleslaw. Nothing has salt on it, which is funny considering the name. Easy fix with the salt on the table. Huge portions, great service, loved it.

Top 5 best fish n chips I’ve had. 1 large piece of cod, cooked perfectly, super moist and flavorful! Must try if you like fish n chips.

It’s time at Old Salty Dog. Food, and atmosphere was excellent. What we enjoyed was the service and our server. Her name is Genevieve, when she walked up to our table, she smiled and greeted us. She was attentive, professional, and courteous. What surprised us, we found out it is her first day as a server on her own. I definitely recommend the Old Salty Dog. We will be back.

The food basket were only 12.99 such a good. The service was amazing The young man Nixon was very kinda and helpful. I'm definitely coming back next time I visit siesta keys. This was the best restaurant we visited on are Vatican

The Loaded Salty Dog was delicious! It’s big enough that we shared it and a basket of calamari which was also great.

Fun atmosphere, good food and dog friendly.

We were excited to see that it had been on an episode of Man Vs Food!

The kids meal being served on a frisbee is a nice touch.

Stopped in at this place for dinner on a Sunday night. We both ordered the Shrimp entree, which includes 8 very large shrimp and two sides. We got French fries and salad, and battered fried shrimp. The shrimp were AMAZING and plump, the biggest shrimp I've ever eaten! The salad, fries and tea + lemonade are also very good! We sat outside in a covered space, plenty of fans to help keep you cool. 10/10 would reccomend and would go again!

Nice little open-air restaurant in Siesta village at the end of the strip. We usually eat here when we are in the village area. We have had consistently good food. The shrimp tacos are so good, with the pineapple slaw. Yum!

Always a good experience. Good food prepared well and always good service. Also a nice outdoor eating area. Good menu selections, fish, burgers and other sandwiches. Suggestion, please get Blue Moon or Shocktop.
