Sanibel Café

This was a very happy visit. I’ve been coming to Sanibel Cafe since the ‘80s. This was first time back since they reopened after the devastation from Hurricane Ian. Excellent food and exceptional service. After visiting around the island we stopped back so my daughter could buy a mug and jam 🍓♥and our server remembered us from the morning. Perfect !

Very pleasantly delicious, I ordered a breakfast meal & a patty melt for lunch & it was exactly as if I was sitting inside - I will continue to support this great place

I enjoyed my break from seafood today by having the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It hit the spot. My lunch companion raved about the Parmigiano tomato side. I'd try it next time because my fries were good but the tomatoes looked fantastic.

We ate here years ago and really loved everything about it. We enjoyed the full menu especially the seafood. Today the restaurant is still going with its focus on breakfast and lunch as they close at 2pm daily. We had a 30 minute wait which in many ways tells you it is popular. It was worth the wait. Majority of the folks go for breakfast based on my observations. Miss the old Sanibel Cafe but would go back again as it still has the same quality and reasonable prices.

such a lovely little cafe!!! The staff was so sweet. We had our three boys with us all under the age of 4 and it was a kid friendly atmosphere. Food was quick, service was attentive, and yummy! Best breakfast weve had on our family vacation.

Wow, what a great breakfast!! And the food came out so quick after they take your order. I will definitely be back. It does get busy but that's what happens with great food and service.

Absolutely great place to get breakfast. There was a little wait, but well worth it. I enjoyed the sausage gravy.

While on a quick getaway to Sanibel Island, my husband & I decided to dine at the Sanibel Café for breakfast. The hostess greeted & seated us promptly with a face covering & pleasant tone of voice. Upon review of the menu, we were thoroughly satisfied with our options for breakfast. Our dishes arrived within good time, hot, fresh, tasty & presentable. Our server was attentive, professional & helpful. They even made suggestions as to the local faves & best paired foods. We will definitely recommend this restaurant & return whenever we come to town.

Stopped for breakfast after a long morning of shelling with my son. Tried to go to 2 different restaurants before this one, one was closed and the other had near an hour wait. Walked right in and got a seat here, and the food came out quick and delicious. Wonderful staff, it wasn't our first time here and definitely won't be our last!

Have come here for many years!! SOOOO HAPPY they are open again- AND the fossil shell tables with glass survived hurricane Ism! Food delicious!! My husband, a big “biscuits and gravy” fan said after today’s breakfast “THIS is the BEST biscuits and gravy I’ve EVER had!” True! Welcome back!! And beautiful wall paintings!!!

This place has a special place in my heart after years of visiting Sanibel. We made the drive from Naples to see the post-Ian progress on the island and saw that it was open. We were so happy to give them business again. Their spirit is alive and well and they are once again serving the best breakfast on the island!

The staff was very friendly & welcoming! We got our food pretty quick and the prices are very reasonable! The food was hot & DELICIOUS!!! They have a pretty big menu to select from as well. They also have different tables with different types of seashells in the tables to look at! We are on vacation and love trying new places & this one we will definitely be back to!

My favorite place to stop on the Island. Sanibel omelet and the Pina colada French toast is the best! Always friendly and wonderful service!

One of the best spots IN THE WORLD. We cane here on the morning of our one year anniversary, only to be shocked! The eggs benedict were beyond perfect and my wife had toasted coconut crusted French toast. Loved staying at Captiva but this breakfast put a smile on both of our faces. Thank you Sanibel Cafe!

Our favourite place for brunch when we’re in Sanibel. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is always delicious. Today, my pancakes arrived with a banana dolphin on top!

Amazing breakfast. Efficient friendly service. Loved the alligator and eggs!!

Great menu selection. Waffle was delicious. Shrimp Omlette phenomenal. The shells in the tables were beautiful.
