The Picnic Island

Love coming here. Please don't leave your trash!

Unfortunately people have been leaving their trash and the island took a hit with the last couple hurricanes. All the tall trees got taken out that used to have eagle nests in them.

It's still an excellent spot to stop and let the dogs out and catch bait.

Very nice little island, great place for lunch and relaxing.

Nice place to visit. Can be crowded on weekends. Boaters beware of shallows along north side of island. Bald eagle nest in tallest tree visible from east. Be courteous and help keep island clean.

A incredibly peaceful place to stop & fish, get some sun & cool if in the water. Just pay attention to the channel markers or have sea tow on speed dial.

It's definitely a great spot to stop and hang out, especially an awesome spot for little kids to play.

Lovely sheltered bay and island, dolphins, shells and warm water. What's not to like. Can get busy at weekends but we'll work the short trip

Glad we had a boat to get to this little treasure. A great place to just veg and to enjoy the outdoors

Great little place to explore, especially when winds are too rough to go up to sannibel, Captiva or Cayo. We went 3x and found some amazing shells. Not much of a beach, but plenty of room to set up chairs and watch boats go by. Had a small pod of VERY active dolphins come within about 10 yards of us yesterday...was really cool !!

Nice little island. It is fun to camp in at night, but you need to bring your own materials (firewood, tp, tent, cooking supplies, etc). Gets kinda busy during the day with people but most don't stay the night. There are no bathrooms except for a box, so I recommend doing it the 'natural' way. Also, you need a boat to get there.

Great place for raft up party. Plenty of area to walk around. Some minor aggravations include visitors not cleaning up their trash and waste. Excellent fishing in surrounding waters.

A great place to boat to and spend the day. Lots of jelly fish, lady fish, and crabs just off the beach area. Beautiful island

Great place to camp we do it every year after Christmas. Nights are great on the sand bar to have a few drinks and relax

Great place! Can only reach it by boat but once you're there you won't want to leave!

If you want to hook up with others by boat they are good things that happened here people get together have a few drinks BBQ bring a sandwich and water good place to have fun
