Very clean campground. Very comfortable place to stay. Winds kicked up a bit while we were there. Might be common for this area. A couple of spots had decent shade but most spots were sunny all day. Could definitely use more shade if you're tent camping. Overall a nice place to stay. We'll be back.

Great place to camp, right across from Tom's place. There are bathrooms, but they are not flush toilets. A creek runs on the far side all the way down the campground. Cool spot

Great place to camp. Well sized family campsites with shaded tables. A great camp host named David Mac who is very friendly and happy to answer any questions or concerns you have. A nice river, nice hiking areas, nice biking, and swimming areas that run through the campground. However even though they’re clearly fish of various sizes in the river it is almost impossible to catch them no matter what tactics you use. Also they have some of the cleanest camping bathrooms I’ve ever seen.

I had a wonderful stay over at Tuff Campground. It is in a great location in the Sierra Nevadas. Rock Creek runs right along the campground and is a beautiful place to do a little bit of hiking or fishing. If you're looking to explore outside the campgrounds, its only a mile from Toms Place, less than 20 miles from Mammoth Lakes and less than 25 miles from Bishop!

There are 34 campsites here, the first 10 sites are walk-in only and the rest can be reserved online at recreation.gov. Looks like a decent amount of room for RVs too. There are water spigots available and each campsite has a picnic table and a bear box. The fire rings are pretty nice with an adjustable height grill. Most of the campsite picnic tables have this wooden shade structure built into them which is nice to shelter from the weather.

On top of that, the place is very well-maintained by the campground host, David Mac. There are three restrooms on site and they were very clean and stocked with toilet paper the whole weekend I was there. I saw he frequently made his rounds to keep the individual campsites ready for the campers and picking up trash. He also has firewood available for sale. He was pleasure to talk to, very knowledgeable about the history of the area, geology, and where I could fish too.

Was my first time camping here but looking forward to staying here again next time I'm in the Sierras.

This is one of my favorite campsites within the eastern Sierra. It’s right off 395 but far enough where the traffic doesn’t bother you. The creek ususally has good fishing, was hit or miss this time due to the hatcheries but it’s near all the lakes so there’s tons of room to explore.

The camp manager is also very friendly and helpful. He provides a very welcoming atmosphere that makes us wanna keep coming back. And we will.

The picnic tables have shade structures too which is super nice. I’ll be back many more times in the future.

Nice campground, we had a great time. There were fireplaces and covered tables and chairs. When we were leaving the campground manager, David m, come over and talked to us about the area and we had a Nice chat with him. In the end he gave us a present, so thank you :)

Excellent campground. They have a table, fire put, bear locker, and protective cover at each site. The first 10 sites are first come- first served. We were able to get a spot mid- holiday weekend. They have pit toilets that are some of the cleanest I've ever seen. $27 per night. Very happy with this campground.

My husband and I found this place last minute, as a last resort, because all of the campgrounds near Rock Creek Lake were full. We had a trailer and large truck and the site accommodated us very well. There was a fire ring/pit and a table with cover which was great to keep us cool while we ate lunch or dinner. The creek at the campground and many open spots for fishing, however fishing this summer was not good - maybe this was due to the pandemic and overfishing from visitors. The restrooms were always clean and never had to wait in line to use one. There is potable water for filling up your water containers as well so no need to pack any water with you. We enjoyed stargazing and using the fire pit to keep us warm during the nights. The only downside was that the campground is off the highway and so the road noise can be moderately loud at times especially at night when everything else has become quite. Overall, I would stay here again, because it was less crowded than the other campgrounds and it's always nice to have clean restrooms especially right now during the pandemic.

Very nice campground. No hookups. Great place for a limited stays, river is right there for fishing. Well kept up. Dirt road but easy in and out. Can accommodate 44 foot Class A. Really enjoyed our one night stay, will use again.

Absolutely love this campground. Very quiet. Just off the road but very secluded. Awesome creek running through where LOTS of fish were caught. Most relaxing experience we've had camping. Camp was completely full when we went.

We camped in the unreserved section
Very clean and quiet. Shelters, fire grill and picnic tables all a plus. Wire wood available for $. We're 36' plus towed. Plenty of room. Other sites in other campgrounds in the area have lengths limits that we didn't fit in

The campground was amazing, the creek is right next to the camp sites, it is great for fishing, caught lots of fish. The host David was very welcoming and kind and made the experience that much better.

Really nice campground with a creek running through. Just please pick up your trash, on most of my walks along the creek I picked up trash. Be like Big Foot and leave no trace you were ever there. 😸

We stumbled on this place by accident and found a true gem. If you're the party type......this is not your campground. If you like to sit around the fire with a cold beverage or hang out with the family....this is your place. We typically stay at east fork but with the snow this year most sites were still closed. The temperature here is very attractive and close to Tom's place for food and hanging out. Quick drive to bishop mammoth convict or rock creek lake.

Great place to dry camp. Lower rock creek runs through it, they stock it every week. About an hour from Bishop, and 30 minutes from Mammoth. So there are plenty of options. Restrooms are clean and most sites are spacious.

What a hidden gem. First time here but certainly not the last. A beautiful river runs right along the campground with fish you can see swimming. Restrooms are clean. It's quiet and so relaxing. We'll be back for sure

It's my favorite little place to camp in the spring. There are not too many scorpions out yet, and it's not baking hot!!
