Lenhart's Cottages

Stayed 2 nights in April 2024 - Great Location, Dogs are welcome. Was assigned Unit 7A - Large unit with 4BR, 2Baths (1 king, 2 Queen/full, 2 twin beds) has 2 BR 1 Bath upstairs and 3 beds 1Bath downstairs. Huge Kitchen well equipped / LR Open area - 1 TV in unit in Living Room. Couches do not pull out. Extra pillows and bedding found in closets. Had a picnic table in front, small patio out back (no chairs out back). Uphill trek from parking area but worth it for the view! Quick and easy access to the beach. Very relaxing weekend - Management was very nice and great communication via text. Grounds were well maintained and very clean!

Nearby activities: Great spots for Hiking - Montauk Lighthouse - Gurneys Spa - Fabulous Restaurants.

Safety: Felt very safe on the grounds. Very well lit at night. Walk to the beach after sunset will need a lantern or flashlight.

Walkability: All Up Hill! If you are handicapped or cannot walk up/down hills to your room, ask when making reservation. There were a few cottages down by the road, but I'm sure you will hear road noise at night.

Located along the Old Montauk Highway these cottages are hidden along the quiet coastal road. Easy driving distance to “downtown” it was an amazing escape within the escape. Walking distance to a beach (decent amount of stairs) that was very quiet and felt private…we were lucky enough to see a whale venture its way along the coast🐳. Swimming pool available during the day as well which was never crowded. We will definitely be staying here again if available🤞🏼

We have stayed here two years in a row now! We booked through AirBNB which has worked out well. Cottage 1 is our go to for location and space. The weather wasn’t wonderful while we were there so we didn’t get to use the pool this time, but last year it was great to have! Looking forward to returning again!

We had such a great stay and would definitely come back! It’s directly across from the beach. You can hear the ocean from the cottages & depending on the cottage, you will have an ocean view. Short drive from shops & restaurants. The space was plenty for a couple + 2 small dogs.

Huge unfenced yard behind the cottages. We had small ants consistently in the cottage and tried to keep food sealed up & as clean as possible - it was manageable.

If you’re bringing dogs- the area is tick heavy (at least time of year we came). Our dog is on preventatives but after one walk to the beach (walking path has brush around it) we found 3-4 ticks crawling on her & around 10 overall on her.

Lenhart's Cottages are wonderful! I stayed there for a week with my family and had the exact vacation I wanted. Perfect location, perfect proximity to the beach, and the cottage had everything I wanted/needed. I highly recommend! Also they are dog friendly!

Such an amazing stay at one of the cottages! Very clean, spacious, conveniently located (2 min walk to the beach and 7 min drive to the town). Free parking, good WiFi, very cozy cottage with a beautiful yard around. Definitely coming back

Was recommended to me by the Montauk Chamber when I had my Black Lab, Bogey
She since passed at age 15) She loved it there also.
I won’t go anywhere else in Montauk except Lenhart’s!!!!!!!!
I’ve recommended several friends and they love it also—- what’s not to love - close to everything but still peaceful & private- across street from very private beach- everything you want or need is there-full kitchen, even lobster pot, bbq, lounge chairs, pool....

Bring your husband, significant other, partner, family, friends, pets or just yourself-PERFECT Getaway for a day or a (year -I wish -right Ron)

We had an fantastic stay at lenharts the cottage was absolutely perfect beautiful and clean steps from the beach and a minutes from town and shops we really enjoyed the peace and quiet compared to staying at a hotel and a big plus for us is its dog friendly Ron was very nice and always available if you need him we will definitely be staying there again

Although a bit on the expensive side, you'll find it to be one of the more "affordable" places to stay in Montauk. Across the street from a wonderful beach. Pet friendly.
