Wavecrest Resort

We went there for our Anniversary celebration. It was off season which was not an issue. Our unit faced the ocean and falling asleep to the sounds of waves reaching the shore was peaceful and tranquil. We had wonderful walks by the ocean daily and no issue finding places to eat. Our time there was wonderful! We saw both sunsets and sunrise…

We found that our room had not be renovated like many of the other units. It was disappointing and we discussed this with management. They were extremely helpful and understanding. They explained that each unit is owned independently and that they have no control over who updates the room. Wavecrest was very accommodating and refunded us a nights stay. Otherwise our stay was great. The support staff was friendly and helpful and the view from our room was outstanding. We would definitely come back based on the service, but maybe ask for a renovated room :-)

Room was nice but dated. Found the TV was left unplugged, took two remotes to use and was impossible to navigate. Finally gave up trying to watch it. We were there the first weekend after Labor Day and found all the beach chairs locked up and unable to access in the morning (even at 9:00 am). Overall, a very nice location with direct access to the beach but the accommodations and operation could be improved.

We had multiple family members in multiple rooms and suites at Wavecrest. Our accommodations were great. My husband and I had a recently updated 1 bedroom efficiency that was lovely. We have stayed at Wavecrest many times and will continue to. The service at the beach is terrific as is the food truck.

Great location. Room was clean. You have to wash your own dishes before leaving. Room could use hand sanitizer. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Ocean views are great!

I have been staying at Wavecrest Resort every summer for over 10 years now, and the experience is always wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the beach is always great. The service at the front office is always great and the staff here are always ready to help in any way possible. There is also the Wave Crave food truck serving tasty food. I recommend Wavecrest to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with a great beach and beautiful ocean views.

We love Montauk. Wavecrest Resort make the trip affordable. The rooms are comfortable and the people are great - very accommodating. It's also close to everything we enjoy. I highly recommend Wavecrest Resort.

I was torn with staying here because there were good and bad reviews. My only suggestion would be to have more updated rooms but other than that it was perfect. The view, being right on the water (where it wasn’t crowded), they provided beach chairs and umbrellas, in door pool, the food truck was AMAZING! And really really good food. And we were able to make a bonfire at night which made the trip. They provided everything (with purchase of course) Wavecrest did not disappoint. I will definitely be back!

Like most lower end, and some quite expensive come to think of it, Montauk resorts the place was a touch rough around edges. The floors are paper thin, we heard every footstep from the room above including at 4 am. The shower could have used a good dose of Clorox. I have stayed in worse places but not for $500 a night.

However that was completely over-ridden by location and two simple amenities. First the location right on the beach with complementary umbrellas and lounges and second is the food truck. Aside from Gurney's this is the only resort on Old Montauk Highway right on the beach and aside from Gurney's I don't believe any others offer complimentary lounges. Some of the resorts on the Nappeague strip are and do but they are mostly twice the price. Wavecrest also has a small deck area just about on the beach which was a fantastic place to have breakfast and lunch. Both mornings we ate breakfast there watching the whales feed off the beach. And then there's Steve's food truck. Good food and reasonably priced, for Montauk at least. Steve's banter was free and he remembered my name and food restrictions by the second time I ordered. It certainly beats wasting precious beach time headed into town for breakfast and lunch and helped Wavecrest get 5 stars.

Great visit, thanks! The ocean was too rough that weekend, so maybe next time you can fix that! And fewer clouds too if possible. On the upside we met a nice friendly seagull on the beach. Such a show-off!

Stayed at Wavecrest on Memorial Day weekend for 4 nights , we loved it here! Our Studio room was small but clean and recently upgraded. The view was spectacular. Staff was very pleasant and cleaning staff was very nice and did a great job.
Ideal location on Old Montauk Highway close to town and all the restaurants. We will be back again.

The rooms are nice and clean. I came here my my family. This is a good location, near the beach and the price is good. Needed to take. Cab to the the town, which is about $20.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Will plan on another stay in the future.

We had 2 Garden View Studios. The rooms were nice but do need to be updated. The blinds on the doors did not work and had some broken slats. There was obvious rust from the salt air on the doors. Just overall updates needed

First time going to Montauk with the family and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was amazing, and extremely accommodating with all our requests. A special thank you to Marla - she made our stay extra special. Will plan to go back for sure!

The wavecrest is beautiful, quiet, and clean. The staff is amazing. The food truck is delicious. We plan on making a tradition going every summer. My only complaint is, I wish there were more outdoor showers, other than that, perfect! Great for families, friends or couples. Laid back atmosphere for those who want to relax and not party.

We have been coming here for a family reunion annually for the past 15+ years. I noticed a distinct difference - an increase! - in the quality of the customer service this year, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff.

We had a view of the ocean from the room. We had a cabana like porch with Chase lounge. Wooden stairs, lead directly to the beach.

Great place to stay on the beach in Montauk. The room we had was updated and clean. Service was offered everyday.

We've stayed here twice so far in panorama rooms. Rooms are great, wish pool hours were open longer during "off season- april" but overall our room was nice and would stay here again
