Hither Hills Campground

The absolute best campground. My boyfriend & I love MTK & always come to Hither Hills. The views are beautiful, especially the tent-only campsite. The staff do a great job at keeping the bathrooms & other facilities clean.

Hands down one of my favorite camping experiences. Granted, It's not your typical campground and definitely a departure from anything you'd find up the Hudson. However, the proximity to the Ocean and all of Montauk's activities makes this an awesome weekend excursion every year.
We usually set up camp in the pre-season (early May) and occasionally get hit with a little rough weather. But if you don't mind getting a bit wet (or sleeping in your car...), Hither Hills is definitely worth the visit.

SO MUCH FUN!! Where to even begin?!
Perhaps we will start by saying that we triple date here as mid-20 year olds and we have a blast! Our two couple friends have been booking this place consecutively their whole lives, one of our couple friends even got engaged here! This weekend was my first camping experience ever, and boy is the bar set HIGH!!!! This place is SO popular (for understandable reasons) that you have to book a year in advance, sometimes even earlier!! They have bathrooms, showers, running water, and everyone gets their own lot with a picnic bench and spot. It feels very safe and clean too! It’s right on the beach but there are dunes to prevent the winds from crashing over supplies and tents so that’s great too! Bring your own of everything, come extra prepared, but the other families and people at the site are all friendly and nice too (some nice people lent us their generator to charge our phone and a pump to inflate our air mattress). It’s perfect for couples (if you are into camping), definitely perfect for families (there were kids biking, plying, having a blast with the freedom of safe independence on their own), and really anyone! Waking up to the sounds of the birds and the waves in the morning was my favorite part. What a FANTASTIC time! Can’t wait to come back! :)

Great place to camp near the beach! It's just a short walk to get there.

Great family friendly camping grounds. A picnic table is provided in each spot. There is access to bathrooms and showers which were cleaned daily. There is also easy access to the beach. Be sure you have very strong tents...The wind can be very fierce. Out of supplies? No worries. You can drive 10-15 minutes to town. Overall great experience! 😃

If you love the waves crashing,the ocean smells sand everywhere then you will love this place

It’s awesome to camp here! The park is so well maintained. Everything is clean. Campsites are spaced apart. Hear the ocean!

This campground is magical. Iv been camping here since 1986. This was our family vacation spot even though we lived an hour away. The veiws the vibes it's amazing. I just turned 40 and camp all over Suffolk county. This is by far the best camp ground. But extremely hard to get a site in the peak season and can't have fires during peak season. Regardless the time of year though it's a special campground.

Excellent place to camp with friends or family. You can even see the stars at night if the sky is clear. Highly recommended.

Went mid Sep off peak. Very beautiful and our weather was rainless for 5 days. 1min walk to beach. We camped in tents and were surrounded by RV’s, but people have good camping etiquette-shutting of generators at quiet times. We were B loop closet to beach. No ticks for us. J loop is tent only, but right off Old Montauk Highway road. General store has ice and camp office has wood $6.

really awesome place to camp with the whole family. We've gone for a bunch of years now. The sites are just on the other side of the sand dunes and from every campsite there is a pretty short walk to the beach. There are hours in which life guards are on duty, There are many fun activities for kids and ther are some night time softball games and dancing for aldults or the entire family.

One of our favorite annual camping trip destination. We will never get tired! ❤

Good family time! minimal cell or WiFi which is great for separating yourself these days, relaxing! It is a beach area so watch your weather!

My favorite place in the world. Beach bum paradise. Camping basically at the beach for a week every summer is what the human soul craves.

Not your typical camping but so much fun...if you can get a site

Campinggrounds, great beach, and staff was help full. Con. You must reserved for consecutive 7 days even you only stay for 2 days.

This place is nothing less than Magical! You have to book 10 months in advance but so worth it!
