Hartman's Briney Breezes Beach Resort

Robert, the owner will greet you in the office west a friendly, hello. We loved every part of this hotel, if I could only add one thing, it would be bikes to rent. The room was immaculate and beautiful, the fact that it had a table to sit out on a little mini kitchen was so awesome. The pool chairs and lounges were clean and well kept, the grounds were lovely. I would definitely stay here again. It’s about 1 mile from the downtown area so it’s about a 15-20 minute walk. It would be easier if you have a car. I loved that we could do beach and pool. The section of beach that’s across the street was perfect and I highly recommend this resort.

This hotel is an absolute gem! You can not get a better location or view in Montauk! Most rooms, if not all rooms, have ocean views. Our room was immaculately clean and updated. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel so you know the housekeeping staff is top notch! The pool area was outstanding and the grounds were manicured and well taken care of. What's better than taking a dip in a pool overlooking the ocean?! Check in was a breeze and the owner was pleasant. The beach was a short walk away. This hotel was just outside of the hustle and bustle of town which is exactly what we were looking for. Thank you to Robert and Jennie for running this beautiful hotel! We look forward to returning with our family in the future!

Best kept secret in Montauk. I can’t believe it had vacancy (we booked one day before). Great beach access, heated pool, and the owner and his wife were so hospitable and kind. Rooms were also recently renovated and comfortable. Stay here!

My husband and I just came back today from our weekend at Hartman’s. It was so amazing. First of all, our view (and from what I could tell, every room has the same view) of the ocean was stunning. You can sit on the patio and have some drinks and just enjoy the sound of the ocean. We had a studio with an adjoining view for my parents. Lots of space, and so clean. Everything you need is right in the room, iron, blow dryer, dishes, cups, plates, wine opener, literally everything you need. The grounds were amazing, and the whole booking process was great customer service. I highly recommend.

Love the grills, the wifi, the pool and the cornhole!
Rooms are very nice, and each room has an associated Weber charcoal grill. Bring your own charcoal, lighter and tongs.
Love how the hotel provides towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and even some super soakers for the kids.
Location is a 2 minute walk to the beach. Literally across the street.

Love Hartman’s Briney Breezes. Been coming here for years with my family and our kids are now all grown up and beg to come back every year. Best place in Montauk. Jenny and Robert always make our time in MTK special.

I had a wonderful time at briney breezes. When we arrived, the office was nice and helpful with recommendations in the area. Since we went in September, we really enjoyed the heated pool! There is access to the beach just across the road and the property is a 5 minute drive to downtown. The rooms were clean and spacious. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect for a family getaway. Room was very clean and comfortable. Grounds were beautifully maintained. Beach was just across the highway. The walk into town was about 20 minutes. I would recommend coming with a car if you’re planning to get groceries and explore all around Montauk during your stay.

Just surprised my wife for her birthday. Briney Breezes was the IDEAL place. Immaculate. Comfortable, and beautiful views! We were greeted by The Managers, Rob and his wife upon arrival. They were THE MOST pleasant/accommodating people I’ve met met in the industry! They gave us the BEST advice for restaurants, and must-see spots. Look forward to staying again!!!!

We had the best time at Rob and Jeenie’s resort! I invited my mom for her birthday weekend and she is very particular about cleanliness and even she said everything was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay and we loved having breakfast in the sun on the balcony. Beds were comfortable - everything including the property is very well maintained. The resort is not pet friendly which we actually liked because back home I live in an apartment building with where dogs are constantly barking. We did arrive in an electric car and I would have loved to charge it overnight. Maybe something to think about for the future :)

Fantastic place to stay, either a couple or family. Beautiful, well kept pool. The entire place, including the rooms, was immaculately maintaining and cleaned.

They offer beach chairs and towels for the beach, which is a 90 second walk from your hotel room.

Overall great experience. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed here for a wedding. Our room was very clean and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. It is very close to the beach and town. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Someone offered to help my mom carry her bags up to her room without us even asking.

Went for a bachelorette weekend. Had a beautiful suite. Room was so clean, neat, and spacious. Loved the heated pool and views of the water from the shared balcony. Beach access right across the street. Convenient location, quick drive into town for shopping and dining. Walk right next store for fine dining at Surfside Inn. Rob at the front desk is the personable and accommodating never seen him anything but jovial. Latoya our house cleaner was charming. Coming back to stay again very soon!

I’ve stayed here a couple of times now. The rooms are spacious, updated and very clean. The view to the ocean is beautiful. A great family get away. Short drive to restaurants and shopping. Will definitely be staying again!

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! We've been going to Briney Breezes since 1997 and every year it gets better and better. Rob and Jennie do a phenomenal job with everything. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. When we are at Briney Breezes, we feel at home and like family. We hadn't visited in a few years and Rob and Jennie remembered and assigned us to our favorite room. They go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The location is great -- the beach just across the street and town is walking distance. You just cannot beat Briney Breezes.

Great location, great views, great stay! Clean, comfortable and well-run by Rob. The beach is right across the street, the pool (heated for our late season stay) was great. Plenty of towels and chairs.
Can’t wait for our next visit.

We used Briney Breezes for our wedding room block and they were nothing short of amazing - Robert and Jennie helped us through 3 wedding postponements and made sure everyone's rooms switched over to the new dates without a hitch. Our guests were given a warm welcome and staff was accommodating. The guests loved the spacious rooms and views of the ocean.

I spent such a wonderful weekend here with my sister in August. Such a gorgeous view from the room and amazing private beach access. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. We arrived from Manhattan 4 hours before check in because we were trying to beat traffic. The owner was so nice to us and allowed us to use the changing room/ restrooms all morning/afternoon until check in. He even had the room ready for us a couple of hours early! The room was very clean and recently renovated. My sister and I loved the private deck area adjoined to our room and spent hours enjoying the view of the ocean and sipping champagne.

When it came time to check out we told the owner how we had planned to still spend the day around Montauk to again avoid traffic. He assured us that we could still have access to the facilities for the day which was very generous of him!
Overall he went above and beyond and was incredibly entertaining to talk to.

This motel was perfect for both families and for people like us you didn't have children with us but still wanted a quiet relaxing atmosphere away from the party scene now associated with Montauk.

We are already planning our visit for next year!

First time at this motel - room was very spacious and clean and we had a full kitchen fully equipped with coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, cups etc and the bathroom included a blow dryer - exactly what I wanted. I stayed with my 3 kids and never felt cramped (we had 2 queen beds) - we had a nice deck to enjoy (not private though the decks are open and shared). The motel provided free beach towels and beach chairs and the amazing beach was right across the street. My kids really enjoyed the pool as well. The location is great - you can walk to town (maybe 15 -20 min walk) or drive in about 5 min. Only things that would be improvements are minor - vents in bathrooms and make decks more private. Had a great time in Montauk and at Briney Breezes and met some very friendly guests there as well - my kids are already asking to go back next summer!

My husband and I had a great time here, very confused about the negative reviews! The owner was kind and accommodating and we saw him around the resort all day taking care of different things. You can tell he takes pride in the resort and its cleanliness. The pool is fantastic, and we loved playing cornhole in the courtyard. So laid back and a perfect location. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay.
