Thayer Orthodontics

My permanent retainer broke on one side about a year ago. I couldn't get in anywhere to get it fixed and other offices kept telling me to see the orthodontist that placed it. I don't live in that area anymore and it all sounded very inconvenient. Dr. Thayer got me on right away, removed my old retainer, and I got a removable retainer to wear at night. It was the best solution I could imagine.
Now my daughter gets her orthodontic care from Dr. Thayer and we have been very happy with her results and experience so far.

We had a great experience with Dr. Thayer and team, Dr. Thayer was very proactive with our sons teeth, he did everything that needed to be done, when it should be done. To this day his teeth have stayed in place and he has a perfect bite! The whole team provided a welcoming environment, our son was always willing to go, and to this day remembers it as a good experience. Dr. Thayers focus was on doing things right, at the right time for the right reasons, I highly recommend Dr. Thayer and team.

We have been working with Dr. Thayer and his incredible team for about 5 years as he has monitored and put together a care plan for our three children. From our very first visit we have experienced top notch care and professionalism from EVERY member of this skilled and long-term team. All of our kids have different orthodonture needs and it’s clear they each have a plan customised to their unique situation.
Dr. Thayer and team take whatever time is needed to make everyone comfortable and informed every step of the way (including putting the brakes on the day the braces were to go on). Nothing is done (including the financial piece) without partnership and agreement. Everything is done with care and a healthy dose of fun.
I am confident the end result for each of our kids will be more than we imagined and will last a lifetime.

Excellent service and staff. I got my braces off almost twenty years ago. Recently, I needed my retainer adjusted and had some questions. Dr. Thayer remembered me after all these years!

They took too much money from my insurance! The guy that does braces told a friend of mine he would have to pull a tooth to be able to put on the braces and they went somewhere else and that orthodontist pretty much said he was being lazy. Then he told another of my friends the exact same thing. Then my retainer breaks and I had to leave work early to make my appointment and they closed before I got there. I called the next day and the guy starts saying he was there and they were open but when I got there all the lights were off and the door was locked and he refused to discount my new retainer. Finding a new Orthodontist because their business practices SUCK!

Unprofessional bait and switch artists, do not go! I was looking for an ortho to fix my permanent retainer, which had come loose on one side. Wasn't able to find an appointment that fit my schedule with the people that had done it before, so was looking for a new place for an asap fix. I was told on the phone that they had an appointment soon, and that for minor things like this it would be free (which fit my expectation as it always had been before), so I booked the appointment. Turns out it was not free, it was 90 dollars due to it requiring time in a chair. What kind of dental appointment doesn't use a chair, did you expect me to stand? It is outrageous to be charged for a 10 minute quick fix, especially after I chose them due to being told it would be free and quick. I can see why they had time available, probably don't retain any people. Thayer was quite rude and uncompromising, simply repeating that it's his business and he'll do what he wants, probably saw me as an easy buck and since I paid, I guess I was. Stay away and let them go out of business.
