A beautiful and neat park with long trails. There is a large and clean camping area with very nice hosts. There is also a little restaurant where you may get some basic food including vanilla ice cream. The lake is pretty but not too big. Walking around it, I walked 22,000 steps and my wife's step count was 25,000. Even if that may not sound politically correct, we both enjoyed our walk in the same way.

Beautiful park with large mature trees, lake, fishing piers, and 30 AMP electrical service. No water hookups, but at entrance you can fill your tank. The park is very large and well maintained

Great campgrounds to spend some time outdoors. This is a beautiful park.
There are grills at each camp site but they are on the ground connected to the fire pit not a traditional elevated one.
Most camp sites have plenty of shade, however some by the playground are definitely more open with less trees. Definitely recommend staying here its a great price!

Our local camping get away spot. Plenty of paths to take, scenery to take in. Fishing is great from the shore or on a small boat. There are rentals at the store. There is a a few pavilions around to sit or rent out for your party. RC club for air planes but not always there. Few horseback trails as well.

We were here mid week in early June 2021. I believe there are over 90 campsites, laid out in about three sections. There are many brick toilet buildings scattered through out the campground areas (I did not go in one so they may only be pit toilets), and one section has a nice bathroom /shower building with flush toilets and handicap stalls. There is a pop machine in front of this building. That section also has a couple handicap campsites, where the entire site is level and paved.

All the campsites only have electricity, but there are water drinking fountains and water spigots scattered around the sections. The campsites all have metal fire pits with grill grates, a picnic table, and gravel parking areas for your camper (many are not totally level, so bring some leveling blocks). Most sites are reservable, but they also have some 'first come' non-reservable sites. We stayed in a small loop of these 'first come' sites near the shower building. We drove through on a Friday afternoon and saw many reservable sites still available. On the Tuesday we arrived most of the campsites were unoccupied. Campsites are $20 per night ($15 for senior citizens). The roads are all paved, and the speed limit on the main roads is 20 mph, 10 mph in the camp site loops. There are large picnic shelters available for rent for groups. There is a dump station for emptying your camper's holding tanks.

The park has a radio controlled model airplane area, an archery area, equestrian and hiking paths, and a very nice, smallish lake. The lake area has a very small restaurant, and I believe they have a few rental boats and bait available. There is not a swimming area, and boats are limited in horsepower and have a no-wake restriction. There is a nice paved boat ramp and car/ trailer parking area. There are several fishing piers scattered around the lake perimeter. Fishing licenses can be purchased at the Shell gas station in nearby Morrison, according to a sign I saw near the shower building. I also saw a sporting goods store in Morrison that had fishing gear in the windows.

Morrison has several restaurants, bar and grills (Fat Boys has fantastic 1/2 lb burgers and large salads), small shops, a grocery store, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, and more. The county fairgrounds is located in Morrison.

The park is very well maintained, and the campground hosts are friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised that the campgrounds were not crowded even on a weekend. We will definitely return.

Out of beaten way park. 2 h from Chicago on HWY 80. 9atk has amazing camp grounds. Concession store, kayaking rentals. Not many trails but one can use horse trail, 10 miles, just be careful and respectful.

This park is large and has many camping areas. There are both electric and water available and also primitive tent sites. The lake is great and has many fishing spots. There are shaded piers and docks to fish from. There are fishing areas that are handicap accessible as well! Beau park. We will be returning to fish and picnic in the future.

Beautiful and well kept. Even the pit toilets are clean. Not overly crowded. Kayak rentals. Plenty to do. A swimming area would have been perfect.

It was cool to see the American White Pelicans. The campsite was good. Plenty of space and some nice walking trails, and all close to the lake.
