Paul W. Phillips, MD

Dr. Phillips has been my primary physician for many years (and also my wife’s). I feel fortunate in that regard. He is compassionate, caring and takes the time to listen to whatever ails you. He has a great personality and is anything but condescending. You can’t ask for a better doctor.
I must also mention his staff. Dr. Phillips’ team of nurses and other associates are very professional and personable.

Dr Phillips (Dr. Paul) is by far the best PCP I've ever had. My husband and I first encountered him during his (Fellowship?) with SIU and decided then that if he ever practiced in Springfield we would follow him!
When we found out he was practicing with Springfield clinic, we immediately requested he be our PCPs.
Dr. Paul is kind, considerate, has a wonderful bedside manner, and genuinely listens, which I'm finding in this day and time is extremely rare. He gets to know his patients and it is clear to see that no one is a "number" to him.
If you ever see that he is accepting patients, I highly recommend jumping on the opportunity. You will not regret it!

Dr.Phillips and staff couldn’t be better! Very welcoming, patiently answering all my questions and accommodating my situation. Knowledgeable in their answers and showing genuine respect and compassion. Had actually reviewed charts and history ahead of time and were willing to spend the time to speak to my concerns. Today was my first visit with Dr. Phillips. I can tell that I’m going to love him. He has an amazing bedside manner- he is super easy to talk to, funny and thurough. He asked lots of questions and really listened to everything I said! I think he is going to be pretty great for both me and my husband!!

I can not say enough fantastic things about Dr.Phillips. By far one of the best doctors I've ever had. Always caring and considerate with any concerns I have. He is also surrounded by the best team of Nurses and Nurse Practitioners that I have grown to absolutely love. The whole team take the time to hear your concerns and work to get a solution. Dr Paul Phillips is so compassionate and caring. At the end of a very busy day, he worked me in so I could see him. That is very comforting to know he will see me when I need him even if his calendar was full. To mean that means something, my doctor has my back!

This is the second time that I have gotten to see Dr. Phillips but I feel that he listens he’s compassionate. He’s caring he is very easy to talk to and I’m so in hopes he will get me back on track after my heart attack.

My longtime doctor is retiring and I met with Dr. Phillips today to move to his practice. My initial impression is very positive. He was engaged and easy to talk to. Good first impression.

My experience with Springfield Clinic started many years ago with Dr. Eveloff. Dr. Paul, cares for his patients, listens to his patients, tries his best to explain questions or concerns the patient might have and if he cannot take care of the situation, he will suggest a Doctor who can. Please know all of my Doctors at the clinic are judged by the professionalism and care I received from Dr. Eveloff in the sixties. Dr Paul, you have scored a 10 on my scale of 1 to 10. Great doctor, great guy. I do not like going to doctors but Dr. Phillips made me feel comfortable. Very personable, very knowledgeable. Glad I found him.

The entire experience from check in to seeing Dr. Phillips was great! The nurses were super nice and knowledgeable. Dr. Phillips presents himself as a person that is interested in you and takes the time to really think about the care he is going to provide.

It’s always easy to see Dr. philllips. There’s always no wait time & his staff are all great. They’re very friendly and professional and caring. Dr. Phillips himself always makes me feel cared for as a patient and a person. I greatly value him as my GP & have no plans to change. Dr. Phillips is an amazing doctor and cares about his patients. Doesn’t stop trying to help until the issue is resolved and really listens to all your concerns. Doesn’t try to rush out of the room to the next patient. Definitely recommend him!
