Capital Township and it's relief office ARE NOT LOCATED AT 9001 S 11TH ST. They moved years ago to the Public Health building.

Tried applying for emergency help after someone who owed me money disappeared and I was left with all their bills. I only asked for assistance with my own utilities for one month, and hadn't talked them in over 9 years.
Sent in everything required and the office gave me one excuse after another to deny assistance. I countered them all and they finally threw me out on what was clearly a completely made-up excuse.
Tried talking to their director and got no response.
I wouldn't waste any time with this office, it is worthless, or possibly corrupt. They probably just give help to f & f

This place discriminated me because I am transgendered. They stated I needed a form of income to qualify for the work program. I have spoken to several people already in the program without any other income. The proof is in the pudding.
