Charleston Marriott Town Center

We stopped after a long day of travel between destinations. The hotel is very nice. It was clean and the rooms are a nice size. The beds are comfortable. The shower was amazing. Usually hotel showers are not that great. But this one had pressure and made me not want to get out. They have a nice buffet for breakfast with a wide variety to choose from. I also loved the fact that my dog was welcome as well. Definitely recommend.

Great service. Staff down to earth and genuinely caring. The shuttle was very helpful to get around. The conference we attended was spread out around downtown. Wish the sliding door in room actually opened further to see the fall colors, the windows were filthy so not easy to see the view... but that was the only disappointment. Great deep bathtub perfect for a soak after a long day. They are eco conscious with bottles of shampoo, conditioner and soap mounted in shower for refilling vs the wasteful small bottles. No heat, and it was chilly...not sure why the hotel hadn't turned the heat on yet.

Although this is an older hotel, I found it cozy and comfortable. Like coming home to the traditional soft lighting and warm colors room decor. I love the small reading lights attached to the bedside lamp. Small touches make a world of difference. A welcome change to the minimalist ultra contemporary shades of gray and harsh LED lights that are more common in hotels these days. I think this Marriott was renovated a few years ago and the beds and pillows are super comfy. Carpeting seems newer. An added plus is the rooms have balconies with screen doors. They only open approximately 6 inches but it’s enough to let the fresh air in. The hallways were a little musty smelling but my room was perfect. My room was on the 14th floor and very quiet. I have allergies and sensitivity to fragrance, air fresheners, strong smelling cleaning products. I had no issues here. The lobby does have a light Marriott signature fragrance I could do without but it wasn’t overpowering. Also, the attached parking garage was free for guests. As a frequent business traveler this quiet, no frills Marriott was very comfortable. The check in was easy and I was warmly greeted and offered bonus points as a Platinum Elite member.

Bed was so Comfy! Rooms & Hotel was clean & a nice! Was there for a concert at the civic center the Shuttle bus took us a block away very naive Driver! When concert was over the driver was heading out the door to go home 4 the evening & I called him, he came right away & took us back to Hotel before his shift was over! I didn’t use any of the other amenity's like the pool or restaurant but they looked nice! I would definitely stay again it’s well worth it❤

Many thanks to the staff at the Charleston Marriott Towncenter. I accidentally left an item in my room which they went to extra effort to retrieve and arrange shipment to me. There were several items of personal value to me, so I really appreciate their attention to the customer experience. We will be back!

Was skeptical to stay here due to bad reviews but was very happy with this Marriott. I think they're doing some light renovations as the carpeting was new. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was also great with tons of options. Lounge was great too with nice dinner options. Definitely will be back

I slept great here and the bed was soft and comfortable. It was quiet and I could adjust the AC to a comfortable cool sleeping temperature. The garage parking was free. This is a good tip for anywhere, lock your vehicle and remove anything you don't want stolen. I had a bicycle stolen from the inside of my car during my weekend stay.

Right downtown across fm sports center. There were several international volleyball teams at Marriott for a tournament, but Marriott handled dozens of 7ft tall players well. Parking was easy. 16 story hotel. We had 11th floor & great views of Charleston.

Wonderful stay! I highly recommend this hotel. I also greatly appreciated Chaz McCoys help during this stay. He is a great employee, who you can tell is very passionate about their role!

Hotel was incredibly comfortable and the staff was fabulous! The room was slightly dated and the balcony was blocked off. Overall would recommend this to others as well as start their again myself.

We were here for a business dealer meeting this past weekend, let me just say that the folks that work here are truly amazing, friendly, helpful very hard working people. We had dinner and breakfast and it was amazing. From the presentation of the food to the service in the banquet room. Top notch. The Marriott itself was so very clean, from the lobby to the rooms, it was spotless. You can tell these employees go above and beyond! The bartender, well she was amazing, great personality. Thank you for everything.

I'm from out of town. I had a short layover on the bus but it was late at night. Being a female at night downtown alone is not safe. I walked down to this Marriott and asked the front desk if I could sit in the lobby until my next bus came. They greeted me with a warm welcome and allowed me to stay safe in the lobby and I wasn't even a guest.

Marriott is always a good choice for lodging during a trip and this full service location was no different. Free parking in their attached garage was a very nice amenity. Lobby is large and welcoming. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was what I have come to expect from a Marriott. Close to restaurants and the interstate.

Great staff friendly and insanely helpful. I have been to this hotel twice and never a bad experience. The shuttle to and from the airport is so nice as well. It is located in the heart of the city and walking distance from many fun places incuding a mall right across the street. My only gripe is that the cable channels available were not HD

The rooms are getting old. The carpet is rolled and not intact in the hallway. But the location is amazing. Our view wasn't great and bottles were laying on the fencing at the AC units. Being a Marriott I expected much more. Check-in and out went smoothly except for the $15 charge for parking your own car.

Great location with friendly, professional staff. We find ourselves traversing the country and stopping in Charleston often. This hotel has proven to be a dependable stop that my family enjoys.

We really enjoyed our stay. The TV was not working properly so they sent the engineer to our room to fix it immediately! He was the sweetest person and I just want to give a shout out to him! Please give this man a raise! Sorry did not catch his name but definitely a great employee!

Charleston WV. What a beautiful area!!
This has to be the best Hampton Inn that we have ever stayed at. They use to have a good reputation but many years ago. We had stopped going to Hampton’s because they were old and dirty.
This was the exception. Great staff, great clean comfortable room. We will stop in again on our way back through.

Update 2023: I regret staying here for 2 nights let alone a single overnight event. Needs updating in a horrible way; what TV system still runs on an analog signal in this day and age??? Everyone is hoity toity and sneers at you for just trying to get in line at the elevator. I will be sticking to the Holiday Inn for any Civic Center events from now on. I am glad I stayed here just so I could know how much better other places are.

Old review: I didn't stay in a room and was only there to setup for a conference. The bathrooms were very clean and the conference rooms were spacious. The parking situation is a little confusing but it wasn't hard to get to the correct parking garage. Overall I would consider staying here if I had to for an overnight event.

Best Hotel in Charleston. The staff is always very friendly.
