My son 4.5 yrs old got sick while visiting our friends from Nashville. So took him to vanderbilt clinic at carothers Parkway. Well we had to wait there was delay and all but Ms. Joana( hopefully I spelled her name right if not sorry it was a very quick introduction) who was in the front desk was very courteous and apologized for the delay. Really appreciate her kindness towards us especially my son who was very nervous due to the swab test. He asked for a sticker for being brave unfortunately they didn't have any but Ms. Joana went above and beyond I would say. She handed him a dollar and told him to buy what he wants as her treat. She is one dedicated, kind and polite person. World needs more people like you. It's the kindness that warms my heart . God bless you!

Robert, the MA, and Sharon and Amy, NP, were so helpful when I was diagnosed with Shingles. Great staff! Quick and accurate. Thankful for their dedication to helping others. It shows!

Both the NP and the lab tech were very compassionate and took extra time to make sure that we knew what I was sick with.

Went in for having a very sore throat and was nervous about strep since it’s going around. Strep negative so the NP recommended Flu and Covid as a “precautionary” - they billed $475 for that test!!!! I could’ve pulled it off the shelf for $20 - AND to top it off I tested positive for strep after suffering for a few more days. Considering there is no prescription or treatment for a positive flu/Covid response and I’m under 65, I felt like that was not medically necessary and a waste of resources.

Honestly can't stress enough... avoid this place unless you like spending money. I called to make sure they coded everything right, and yes the actual cost for a regular visit, strep test and covid test for my kid is $890.

Very bad experience. Waiting time was too long. Took my daughter who had a very bad sore throat and they diagnosed with strep . However it took them more than 24 hours to send the prescription. She wasn’t feeling any better after that and tried calling them several times with no response. Finally, after 48 hours, we went to the clinic again, and there was another 45 minute wait before a nurse called me simply to redirect me to a “better” place. I would not recommend this clinic for any of your needs.

I’m not sure it could get any worse- the Vanderbilt Quick Care is absolutely horrid. The lady at the front is extremely rude and needs to find a different job. The Nurse Practitioner/Sharon might as well not even be there- she takes forever to come to the exam room, along with assuming she knows how sick or not sick you are (Even with symptoms/signs) they also push the Flu/Covid Testing on you for money purposes. It’s the last time I will ever go back. Dr’s that know what they are doing are so hard to come by- it’s truly a disgrace to humankind.

Yes I did call and file a report as well. Please quit responding with that advice since it goes no where. It’s just as bad as the overall experience.

I made the mistake of 1st going to Walgreens on Mallory & Cool Springs Blvd thinking it was a Vandy clinic. It was LabCorp, (white/lab coats/clean/well lit, etc).
So I made my way over to the Carothers Walgreens (9100) & had to wait for them to open at 2pm.
Around 2pm , After opening up, etc. a male asked me to a dark, back room, with a terrible table for support, where he proceeded to take ONE vial needed my Dr. ordered.
He tied the left arm but said he couldn't find a vein. I had 2 blood draws in the last month out of that arm, but I figured I was in no position to argue.
I did however, ask for a butterfly needle hoping to make it less problematic & for the first time I heard "there's a needle shortage"? News to me-but who am I to contest that! So moved & proceeded on my right arm. I immediately had pain but was glad to get out of there.
My arm hurt off and on for a few days, (1st time I've ever had that w/ a blood draw).
That night, I had to apply ice for swelling, pain & black & blue. The next day it had spread 5 inches above AND below my elbow with bright red at the vein & blue everywhere!
I have enclosed a photo-: mind you, this is how it now looks a full WEEK later.
How can Vanderbilt be associated with this kind of atmosphere & treatment?
I called EVERYWHERE I could try, & they kept trying to send me back to that store to resolve my problem. Are you kidding!!!!
A 27 year Vandy fan; now totally disappointed.

Treated me like garbage. Wouldn’t even see me, though I feel I have an infection with a swollen lymph node in my underarm. Was told I’ll probably need a mammogram. I left feeling extremely worried and even more stressed than I was to begin with. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR HEALTH CARE NEEDS.

I have been to this clinic with severe throat pain and fever. They did test for flu and strep throat and told its negative. Asked me to take ibuprofen 2 or 3 tablets every 6 hours. They sent throat swab to lab for culture. I suffered with severe pain and fever even after having ibuprofen. After 2 days I went to another clinic and they diagnosed me with strep throat positive. They prescribed Antibiotics and I am better now. Above all, the best part is they called me again to let me know the throat swab culture report- NEGATIVE for strep throat. . Pathetic..Never again to vanderbilt clinic. Tried to get their Patient relations team several times. But no response.

They refused to see us even though we were there 20 minutes before they closed because it would take an extra 5 minutes. True medical abandonment. Practitioners should be fired. They just don’t care. Pathetic and sad.
