Poole Road Park

Beautiful place for a stroll or to spend an afternoon with the kids. Very peaceful early morning. Will be back. Clean bathrooms too.

It’s a nice little place to walk, jog, bike or fish that’s convenient to my home. There is a ton of wildlife and it is just a real pretty place to go and explore. You just have to be careful of the people on bicycles because they fly through there and I’ve even seen people on dirt bikes and four wheeler so just watch out and I’ve seen people get hurt from the bicyclists flying through there and hitting people. A girl actually got a bloody nose last year while she was walking and this guy just flew through there on his bike and almost hit me as well even though I was on the other side, he was just flying so fast he couldn’t slow down in time and hit her but thankfully she was OK mostly.

Very peaceful and serene. Glad to see the steps and kayak/canoe ramp installed here.

Went on a 3 mile run here today. The Neuse River Trail is great for jogging, running, biking and is even good for children.

Easy walking or biking along paved nature trails that follow the meandering neuse river. Well maintained by the parks department. Dogs on leash.

My first time visiting although I have lived ten minutes away for the past right years. Went for a walk with family. It was very serene. I will return.

This is an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the Neuse river and greenway. It's perfect for walking, jogging, or biking and offers a great way to enjoy the outdoors. There is parking onsite.

It is a very lengthy trail but you can stop and rest in many places. I enjoyed sitting by the lake and they also have chair swings. For a park,the bathrooms are in good condition and they are definitely open during the virus. At a certain point I had to take a bus to get to this park. It is about a :10 walk. Plus there is a little convenience store a little outside the park. About a 3 min. walk.

It's a well kept trail head. There's another trail head to another trail an 1/8th mile down from the parking.

The only weakness of the park is the parking is usually packed, although there's always at least one more spot when we get there.

27 miles of paved trail, half of it shady, and it connects to the mountains to sea trail! Some challenging hills, next to the Nuese river

Beautiful and well maintained. Friendly people evrywhere and its a known biking path so people walking are expecting bikes and yield with a smile.
