The Courthouse Deli & Whit's Frozen Custard

This review is focused on their Sandwiches. Holy banana, they are delicious!!! We tried the Cuban Mix sandwich and the turkey avocado and it honestly was not expected how good they were. At that point we were wondering and hungry and came across this place and it was awesome! I know they are known for their frozen custard, but don't sleep on their Sandwiches! For us, the best in the area!!! I highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥

Sandwiches are top notch! We had the “Breakfast Sandwich” & “Jeff’s Italian”. The only place we repeated (breaking our rule not to eat at any place twice on our vacation). I Would recommend

Great spot with deli sandwiches and Cuban sandwiches. They have ice cream and frozen custard too. Small little convenient store section with drinks, beer and wine. Quick service, great sandwich and very nice staff. See you again soon.

This place has a little something for everyone! Deli for those needing a quick bite. Coffee bar for caffeine fix and cold custard. We had the milkshakes and coffee options on our way to the Hemingway Museum. If you do the same make sure to get a size you can finish on the walk since it is not allowed at the museum. Will visit again when in the area.

This place is wonderful! The people working are always friendly, and they give custard samples. This is one of the only, if not the only places on the island that do custard.

We get their fire roasted chicken sandwiches here. They NEVER disappoint. Today we were offered custard samples (m&m and Penguin tracks).. both were amazing! Don’t overlook this place when searching for a sweet treat. They also sell pints and incredible looking custard sandwiches with white chocolate macadamia cookies.

It was suggested from the activities person at our resort to try this deli. She also mentioned the homemade custard. So we hopped in the car and drove downtown at around 8:00. The place is unassuming sitting on the corner. BUT, let me say the food was really good. We got The Cuban and the Italian sandwiches. Both were hot, delicious and plentiful. Of course when the owner gave us a taste of the day's custard flavor, black raspberry chip, we had to get a pint to go. I am looking forward to going back for one of the amazing sounding milk shakes.
So glad we listened to the local and went to a place we wouldn't have looked twice at.

We had a custom custard cake made by them and it was fantastic! Honestly the best custom custard cake I've ever had. River makes anything you want taste like a dream. Ive had 3 custom custard cakes done by him and all 3 have been heavenly. He truly loves what he does and he does a great job!!

Went in for later night dinner. Friendly lady made us an egg salad sandwich that was amazing and also some pasta salad. Both were very good and fresh.

So I just got done eating the caprese sandwich. Absolutely phenomenal. The tomato was fresh as can be, the basil combined with the balsamic glaze was out of this world, and the mozzarella?? I could eat handfuls of that on its own.

Greeted with a smile, quick service, and excellent food. Can't recommend it enough!

We had the Cuban Mix, Turkey Sandwich, and a grilled cheese! It was made fresh and was fantastic! Worth the detour off off Duval St. but was a small shop so not much seating.

I ordered a quick bite here while visiting Key West. I had a Cuban sandwich that was super tasty and a custard ice cream sandwich that really sealed the deal. Quick, yummy, and reasonably priced.

A fantastic place with amazing staff and great food. They have excellent selection of breakfast items, lunch menu also has great selection. The sandwiches are made to order and the they are generous on portions. Get the custard, best way for desert before dinner in your way home.

Fantastic sandwiches, great coffee, amazing custard made in shop, and appropriate pricing for the quality food and services you get. I’ve come here for years, and never gotten anything dissatisfactory. Check out this location, or the custard shop in Mallory square’s mall!

Had a cuban sandwich really good and they add tomatoes to it which makes it delicious.

After eating their sandwiches and custard ice cream, I can immediately tell you guys that I have committed buying the usual for lunch, which is the Cuban Mix and the Raspberry Chocolate Chip! Not only do they have fresh ingredients and tasty recipes, but they also have a passion to make good sandwiches for the ones that need it. I am very satisfied with the people who take care of the premise and their outstanding methods of running a wonderful business. They are very upkeep with their position and the energy around the premise is very strong and welcoming. If you're looking for a nice lunch on lunch break or ice cream on a extremely hot day, Courthouse Deli is the right place for you!
