Higgs Beach

We spent several hours here even being January 2024 it was hot and beautiful. Lots of people but we still had plenty room. Pics was taken early before others showed up. Loved it.

Enough beach access for everyone. Has a dock you can walk down and steps to climb out of the water once you've jumped in. Have picnic areas and volleyball court. Great place to watch the fireworks.

White sandy beaches. The Best Beach in the Keys bar far! Too much seaweed but we passed over it and swam in a creature free ocean area. Great for kids. Bring a cooler.

The beach was covered in sea grass but was still so beautiful 😍. The fort was op3n, and seeing the orchids blooming is always my favorite..

This place feels like paradise, and it's free. You could be here all day. Practice snorkeling with the family the next day we went on a boat to a reef.

Gets crowded later in the day. Best time is morning. Nice sand. Beautiful views.

Nice little white sand beach. No crowds and plenty of space to enjoy the ocean views. Adjacent to Key West Garden Club which is a very worthwhile free visit.

Very nice little beach with a real nice restaurant (Salute!) and nice amenities, bath house, pavilions, pier, playground, etc. Easy access lots of parking. Awesome sunsets from the pier. The western/southern-most end is where the more risqué beach fashions are worn (or not worn).

Great experience! Beach was a bit crowded and a little rocky but I was prepared for it all. They offer chair and umbrella rentals as well as free volleyball. The water was pleasant and absolutely clear with minimal rocks once you got out a little. There is a nice pier and a restaurant very close by for food and drinks that was also amazing! Highly recommended!

This dog park is fantastic. Your sitting under a palm tree looking at the beach and playing with your buddy. Plenty of human chairs. Plenty of dog toys. The park also has water for your dog. Some one donated a dog pool I’ve been to dog parks around the US it this park is one of the top places they have a small dog park and a separate large dog park. Great job Monroe county!

Awesome part of the Key, beside the downtown Mallory Square. Has a long walk into the beach. Very scenic. Just be informed that Key beaches don't have waves, just some flat water. Beautiful water though, more like huge pool.

Nice beach for the family to go and enjoy the sunshine and ocean.
We went in the beginning of March, and the water was crystal clear. There is public parking, and restrooms, there is a little jungle gym for little kids... across the street there is a dog park.
Also there is a nice pier to walk or ride a bike. Again the water was clear and there is a place to get in the water near the pier to go swimming snorkeling fishing.

Assume that you don’t know that this is the edge of The South East of The North America. However, the scenic still leave you a jaw drop. This is really good place the visit. Because you will feel like you touch the end of the beginning Atlantic Ocean. There are the museum near by which is ,you can wandering around to see ancient building, meditation corner and some cute corners. There are small hill in the museum which is, there is a hut stand there. That you can see the sky meet the ocean. You should go there and see around by your self. Don’t forget to put on the suncream. Water bottle is alway a good idea. It is also a good place for biking, Sun bathing and slow your life here.

Higgs Beach, not the dog park, is our Favorite beach in Key West. White sand beach, Long pier with ladders you can walk right into the ocean. There's a wonderful restaurant named "Salute" on the beach. Great food. There's free parking. Roosters 🐓 all around. It's a must see, feel, and
taste of Key West.

So pretty! Great water experience. We rented chairs right on the beach and it wasn't too crowded! Just beautiful 😍

Best beach plus there is a resturant/bar. Salutes was a great place to eat. Park has Sandy beach and crystal clear waters. The pelicans will dive right in front of you to catch minnows. You can also rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for $20 a day. Great beach

Visited the gardens maintained by Key West Garden Club. Very pretty! And so much variety in a relative small space. Clear that this club is putting a lot of effort in maintenance!
