This place had THE BEST key lime pie in key west! After trying many a pie, this one takes first place with its delicious buttery crust and creamy, rich lime filling! The massive chocolate chip cookie w nuts was also delicious!

This luminous place will define my memories of Key West. A candy-like scent permeates the place, and I bought a bag full of massive cookies. The chocolate chip cookies with pecans, and peanut butter with chocolate fudge are absolute winners! The dense cookies are buttery, and perfectly chewy. You can definitely change the world with these cookies!

Let me talk about this cookie & ice cream. Got the cookie monster, and almost wasn't able to finish it with 2 people. I would definitely come back to this place. Biggest cookie in town, worth the trip.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat! What got us was the pure size of this 0.5lb chocolate chip cookie in the window! It was no disappointment, it was gone in approximately 2 seconds. They also had other cookie options (sprinkle, M&M). They also had ice cream!

The chocolate chip cookie here is awesome. It's moist and chewy (i.e. not crispy) and tastes great. Yes it's $7 but it's huge and is enough for multiple people.

Sweet owner, cute shop, and amazing sweets! Huge cookies and macaroons and the toasted marshmallow ice cream was amazing!

They sell amazing cookies 🍪 and the Lyme pie is delicious 😊

Popped in on a weeknight right before they closed. The two staff were really nice. Good recommendations and friendly service. The fudge cookie was life changing.

We had to go here since it’s a well known local business. The Key Lime pie was really good. It’s not super tangy so it was perfect, IMO. We also got the peanut butter fudge cookie. Holy cow good (if you’re a fudge lover). The dough is excellent and stays soft for a while because it might take you that long since it’s humongous. Probably weighs a pound. A must “go to” for a sweet tooth!

The chocolate dipped coconut macaroons were amazing! I didn't know they could taste so good! And they are gluten free. Going back for more.

Mattheesen’s lured me in with their key lime ice cream. Oh boy, sweet deliciousness! Perfectly located close to the Bight for your ice cream cravings! Their ice cream is homemade and a refreshing treat for those hot key west days! Highly recommend

After dinner and drinks this place was good for dessert. Luckily it was open until midnight so we got right on time. There was various options for homemade fudge and cookies but i wanted to try ice cream. Ice cream option was also yumm. One scoop was $6.45 and 2 scoop was 7.45 so definitely got 2 scoops. My pick was cuban coffee and vanilla.

Homemade ice cream as fresh as it gets! I had the toasted coconut which was outstanding. They have also a wide assortment of cookies exceptionally large about 7 to 8 inches in diameter and from what I am told they also have excellent Keylime pie but I did not try the pie. They don’t skimp on ingredients. For an after dinner dessert treat yourself to a truly wonderful experience. Mindy also gave us lots of tips for the area as well.

Unbelievable. I need to figure out this dough recipe. The peanut butter cookie with fudge on top is a cookie and chocolate lovers dream! Definitely shareable. We took a cookie (or 3) to go because they were that good and weighed it in at 1.6 pounds.

Had cookies and cream and vanilla ice-cream which is a classic. In my honest opinion, I haven’t tasted good ice-cream like this business’s own in a very long time. Very worth the purchase and at an affordable price.

My wife and I just completed a trip from Miami to Key West where we tried Key Lime Pies along the way. All of the “top” places in virtually every town (over 15 spots). Prior to this trip, we have always viewed Joe’s Stone Crabs as the best Key Lime Pie. After trying all these places, I can confidently say that Mattheessen’s is the true king of Key Lime Pie. It is the perfect consistency, crust, not too sweet, not too bitter. They don’t have to mask it with anything fancy because it doesn’t need that. It is the perfect Key Lime Pie!! I cannot recommend enough.

Also while you are there, try the peanut butter chocolate cookie. Surreal as well!

This place would get a full-on-full from me. They had perfect snacks on the run for us. While, my sister-in-law had a cookie and probably a shake. I had a load of chocolate ice cream with more chocolate sauce and with whipped cream on the top. I had my mind made up for the ice cream and I am happy I came across this place. I sat in there alone and finished the whole ice cream in peace before thanking the owner and the pretty server. I will never forget this one shop forever. A truly great experience. I would definitely recommend any ice cream lover to come and check this shop. They have a variety of add-ons like brownies, cookies, and more.

Some of my family bought peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, both were delicious. I thought I would try their key lime pie, I wasn't a fan (Kermit's is much better). With that being said everyone seemed to enjoy their ice cream and cookies.
