Wow, what a place!! Totally not obvious from the outside due to location and the building it is housed in but that makes it a truly hidden gem. Nice portion sizes, great time spacing between courses, and fantastic service. Victoria, who I believe is one of the owners, actually served my wife and I for her birthday and made the evening very special. Menu is not vast which means they focus intensely on those items they do have.
Don't even get me started on desert because I will run out of character space.

What an unassuming gem of a restaurant. Hidden in the key, you would drive past it. Doing so would be a mistake. Simple elegant interior, eloquent and punctual french service. Adding an amazing pre fixed menu and a wonderful wine list. Make sure its on your list. The blue crab and avocado was bright and fresh, the tuna delicate and savory. With a wonderful cheese selection.

One of the most incredible culinary experiences available in the area. Atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. The food was exceptional, the service was terrific, and the wine list was phenomenal.

I received a recommendation from a chef friend who said "This restaurant would have a Michelin Star if Michelin came to Sarasota" Absolutely agree! Chef and his wife are amazing and the food speaks for itself. Instantly one of my favorite restaurants!!!

Maison Blanche in Longboat Key, Florida, is truly one of the nicest and most elegant dining experiences I've had. Despite its elegance, the restaurant has an inviting atmosphere. The food is simply amazing, with each dish offering a complex and delightful taste. One thing I particularly love about this place is their practice of offering samples of soup or small desserts, allowing you to savor the flavors before committing to a full serving.

We celebrated my father-in-law's birthday at Maison Blanche and were pleasantly surprised to find out that the chef's wife, who is also the owner, was celebrating her birthday too. She is incredibly nice, very approachable, and always has a warm smile.

Overall, Maison Blanche is a hidden gem, perfect for a lovely formal dinner with a few close people. I would highly recommend calling ahead for reservations to ensure a wonderful dining experience.

Just an amazing evening for my Birthday Dinner we had the Grilled Octopus and Blue Crab starters, the Lamb, Snapper, Lobster and Short Ribs for our main courses and Chocolate Soufflé and Pineapple with Ice cream for dessert. Service was impeccable and the food was Michelin Star level. This will be on my Birthday Dinner list for years to come.

Been coming here for years. They opened my palate about French cuisine and French wine. From Bordeaux to Burgundy, they got it all. Ambiance and service are amazing, so are the food and drinks! Highly recommend for someone who is looking for gourmet food in Florida!

This is great for a legitimately nice dinner out; one of few places in the area that are a bit more upscale rather than "beach casual."

The menu is prix fixe with three courses at a set price. Certain items and specials come with a supplemental upcharge. All the food we had was *perfectly* prepared. In particular, the octopus was excellent; it's hard to find a place that does it just right and the result is both tender and flavorful without being too chewy.

Top-notch service with great people working here, and the location is relatively small and intimate. Good atmosphere. I for sure see coming back here again.

This is how a fancy restaurant should be. White linens, silver utensils, crystal glasses, tasteful options and displayed beautifully. The waiter knows their wines. Refreshingly fantastic, wouldn’t change a thing.

I’ve seen all the restaurants up and down Sarasota and Bradenton. For me this is the best value for money spot by far. The service, ambiance and food is on a different level compared to other “high end” restaurants. They took a page out of European fine dining places and planted on longboat. I would highly recommend this place. (But no too highly otherwise I’ll never get a spot there again)!

What an unexpected surprise gourmet dining experience! Situated in a nondescript motel along the Main strip on Longboat Key, this restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. Looks like those who know, really know that this is a neighbourhood gem. Note: The menu is only Pre-fixe at $70 PP. No a la cart option from what I saw around us.
Excellent service, beautiful decor, generous portions and a true fine dining experience, complete with delicious flavors and beautiful plating. We'll definitely be back!

Maison Blanche is a French fine dining restaurant, The outside of the restaurant doesn't look very attractive but inside they did a really nice decoration job. The Menu is really good and we wnjoyed our dinner there. We would like the menu to change more often so we can go more...

De and I visited on the Thursday night before Christmas after a great night out for the Sarasota Orchestra.

The menu is prix fixe. For $85 each diner receives an appetizer, entree and dessert. In addition there is excellent bread which is complimentary and a delightful cheese pastry served before the appetizer. It is way too much food, but the price is extremely reasonable.

De ordered a glass of Cabernet. It was $11.

Our server was great. I am embarrassed not to have gotten her name. She was there just enough. Once I was low in water. I looked up to see if she were nearby and she was walking towards me with water. Really on the ball.

She brought us each two rolls. One was biscuit like in appearance. It was light and flaky with a delightful crusty outer layer.

The other looked like a dense croissant. It was chewy and very slightly sweet.

We ordered mushroom ravioli and grilled octopus as our appetizers.

The ravioli was my favorite part of the meal. Perfect texture, rich filling, light and flavorful sauce and some crunchy little bits.

The pulpo was excellent. Tender and moist with just a touch of char for texture and smoky flavor. A nice sauce as well.

As entrees we chose the short ribs and the red snapper. Both were outstanding. The meet was flaky and tender with tremendous flavor and just a bit of chew.

The fish was served with “crushed potatoes,” a new one in me and very delicious. The fish was tender and had a good heft to it. The sauce was light and sweet.

We should have been done but it would have been disrespectful to the chef to ship dessert.

The diners next to us each ordered a chocolate soufflé which I thought was ambitious. They looked to be pushing eighty and in better shape than us so more power to them.

We ordered one along with the ice cream.

There were five or more appetizers, about the same number of entrees and a whole page of desserts to choose from. A couple of items involved an up charge. We stuck with the included items and they were great.

Anyway, the soufflé was stupid. So good. We chose chocolate vanilla and coconut ice cream. A better choice would have been skip the chocolate and get two coconuts or even skip vanilla and triple up. The chocolate ice cream was good but overpowered by the soufflé. My fault.

We ate it all. We ate a lot. De had two pieces of bread. I had four. We ate all of both appetizers and all of the dessert. We ate about 2/3 of the entrees and took the rest home.

I had a machiato after all of that because why not. It was great and came with a chocolate truffle. None of that was left behind.

A complete pigfest. But oh so good.

The machiato was $5.50. Like I said, very reasonable. Two dinners a glass of wine and a coffee. Way more than we normally eat. Top tier quality. Great service. Under $200 pre tip.

We tipped a lot.

Maison Blanche was the best culinary experience of our week in Longboat Key. Many excellent restaurants but this surpassed them all. If you are down here, Go!

Stellar place. Recommend for date, celebration, or just cause you want a fancy night out.

This was an amazing experience. Food, wine, service and ambience.

I have to tell I was hesitating about some bad reviews here about MB restaurant. I wont extend myself but the food was definitely Divine. Service as well at the same hight. Ambient Classical music makes the perfect Balance. Overall you won't be dissapointed. Wine selection more than Vast. Concluting we'll be back again.
