I would like to start by saying hats off to the Chef. He absolutely kills it every time I dine here. My favorite spot is at the bar with Wyatt, his knowledge and service is always spot on. The she crab soup is to die for, the yellowtail phenomenal, the desserts are out of this world. If you enjoy having a nice perfect meal get the tasting menu. You will not regret. 10/10. One of my favorite restaurants in key west.

The she crab soup was a delightful starter, rich and creamy with a perfect balance of flavors. Each spoonful was filled with tender crab meat, making it a luxurious and comforting dish. It was seasoned to perfection, with an extra hint of sherry that elevated the overall taste.

The miso grouper, served as the main course, was equally impressive. The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and tender, with a subtle sweetness from the miso glaze.

Overall, Cafe Marquesa provided an unforgettable meal with their expertly prepared she crab soup and miso grouper. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients truly set this restaurant apart, making it a must-visit for seafood lovers.

Great breakfast experience in a bright dining room with sophisticated feel. Staff a bit inexperienced but try hard. The back ground music volume is a bit too high, it’s intrusive and certainly not needed in the morning. Hotel daily breakfast credit doesn’t cover much so it’s pricey but worthy.

This review is for the bar, as we only stopped in for drinks on this trip, but based on that, we’d definitely eat here in the future!
The bartender, as well as all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful! They have an excellent wine list, some great wines by the glass, as well as a very nice cocktail list.

We enjoyed the drinks and great conversation… can’t wait to return for dinner!

Great meal in Key West. I highly recommend coming here for dinner. We started out with the she crab soup, Bibb salad and foie gras . Then for dinner I had the appetizer scallops that was amazing and my husband had the swordfish that was perfectly cooked and dessert was the best key lime pie.

This is fine dining at its best. Nice ambience, creative menu, delicious food, extensive wine list, and great service. The Shrimp with grits was a terrific starter, and the grilled swordfish entree was among the best we've had. The beignettes for desert were perfectly prepared.

We definitely will eat here again the next time we vacation in Key West, and recommend this restaurant for an excellent fine dining experience.

Update November 2023:
We ate here twice on a recent vacation to Key West. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants. The breast of duck special was the best duck I ever had. The rest of the food was wonderful as well. Terrific service both times. This restaurant is a winner.

WOW!! The food was amazing. My wife and I had appetizers which were enough for the meal, as well as some scrumptious desserts. We also had wine and cocktails that were outstanding.
The servers were attentive without being oppressive and the ambiance was quiet so you could have a normal conversation. We'll be back next time we're in Key West.

Arguably one of the best restaurants in Key West! Such good food, service & atmosphere. Our favorite of 6 different restaurants we tried the week we were there.

I love they have tasting menu. I love the artistic presentation of food. I enjoy the hot foie gras, crab cake with mango purée, the salad and the sword fish. I would prefer my foie gras to be warmer. I like Chef’s visit to the table making it personal

We love Cafe Marquesa. The food is delicious. Consistency is king and they are always consistent in service and food. I had the special and it was amazing. Shrimp and gnocchi, yum! Lucas was our server, he had been our bartender a couple days before, he is amazing. Thanks for another great experience while visiting Key West.

Luxury place,the best staff in the island,best food. High rank standard resort.the price...the Best...

First off, we sat outside, while it rained, and it was delightful, hence the five star rating for the venue. Our server was fantastic, professional, informative and maybe was a chef himself, as he was very informative.

We enjoyed local fish and ceviche, some of the best flavours imaginable, the chef showed off his talents with our meals. Bravo! Key Lime Pie for dessert, I heard it was the best in Key West, I may have to agree.

The staff was very attentive, even if they needed to run into the rain to look after us. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. We will stop by again if we come back for another visit.

Incredible dining experience! Service was on point, thanks to our server, Wilson. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 3 desserts. Everything was paced out perfectly. The food was phenomenal! Crab “cakes”, scallops (with possibly the best pork belly I’ve had), and bisque to start. Miso glazed grouper and veal chop for entree’s and a mix of desserts. Everything was remarkable. My compliments to Chef Laurence.

Ate here for my 50th Birthday. Culinary highlight of our entire Key West vacation. Easily best place I’ve eaten in Key West and easily top 5 in my all time meals. Had both specials and regular menu items. All were cooked perfectly and the staff was fantastic

Fine dining in Key West at it’s best! We chose it to celebrate a special birthday and it did not disappoint. The entire meal was exquisite leaving nothing to be desired from the ceviche starter and perfect drinks to the coffee and desserts! Pricy but you definitely get what you pay for!
Our server, Kat greatly contributed to our overall experience. This is definitely my favorite special restaurant in all of the Keys. Can’t wait to return and try some of the other dishes!

Had dinner here on a random Tuesday night during our honeymoon, and wow. I have eaten a lot of fantastic and expensive meals in my life- several at Michelin Star restaurants in places like Paris and Napa costing as much as $900 for two people- and this just might have been better than all of them. Food here is truly incredible. I’d be stunned if it’s not a Michelin restaurant soon. I can’t imagine there being something better in Key West. Magnificent.

We've been coming to Key West for >20 years and Cafe Marquesa is an absolute "must go" restaurant!! Chef Lawrence has created amazing culinary surprises. We had pork, fish, and filet, and each one was better than the first, best scallops and pork belly I've ever eaten. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone who visits Key West. Lucas was a gem and super attentive server! Our glasses were never empty and he was an excellent source of info on each meal Chef Lawrence creates. AN ABSOLUTE 💎! IF I COULD GIVE IT 10 STARS I WOULD!!!!!!

This place is AMAZING! This is the first time I’ve been here and it’s the best food I have ever experienced! I’m from New Haven CT and we have amazing food from around the world but this doesn’t compare. The waiter Wilson was so sweet and thoughtful. I WILL be coming here again and telling friends and family. Please come!! You won’t be disappointed!!

This is a fantastic restaurant in a small town of many great restaurants! The service was on the spot. The bartender Wiatt was informed, engaging and creative. How about a twist on a whisky sour but with egg white? Yum! Also, tiny bar had some of the best top shelf spirits. We had the tasting menu so I can not explain what I ate, only that it was all perfectly prepared and displayed. Ok, maybe the Foie Gras was still to rich for me.

There are only 2 outdoor dining tables overlooking to beautiful palms and greens next to it. You can expect an elegant fine dining experience at Cafe Marquesa from the moment you see the host until you leave the restaurant. The table was served an amuse bouche that was watermelon juice with cucumber and some herbs. We then tried Seared and Chilled Yellow Fin Tuna that comes with avocado puree, fresh tomatos and olives which was certainly delicious. For main, I had grouper that was served with vegetables and beans. I must say it was a satisfactory portion and and the fish was tender and soft. Grouper is very common in Key West and it’s the fish to eat really since it comes fresh. Swordfish was nice but its mustard was on the heavy side. Service was great, staff was attentive and kind. Prices are a bit high ($45-$65 for mains) but I think it’s worth if you are a foodie and want to dine with style one evening.
