Funky Rooster Coffee House & Wine Bar

True to its name! A cute, clean, friendly, modern coffee, tea, bakeshop, art shop, and wine shop. A few resident/family of roosters on-site, roaming. See media of the baby rooster. Didn't snag any of the adult roosters, unfortunately. Pictured here is my order of their Ginger Honey Tea during the last afternoon, which is reminiscent of my favorite Filipino hot fresh ginger drink called Salabat; and an order of their homemade Napoleon Cake at a second visit at night.

Finally a real coffee shop in the US! As we are coming from Europe, we could really appreciate the real feel and quality of a European coffee shop (this one is family run, probably with roots in Ukraine - one other reason to stop by and support them!) The desserts are very delicious and authentic (you should absolutely try the authentic Ukrainian style Napoleon cake!) The atmosphere is amazing, and the furniture is very homey and welcoming. The other guy in the review who complained they don't have "refills" and they're nothing like Starbucks - please do yourself a favour and go to Starbucks having their pee type coffee 😜🤣

Only has time for coffee and picking up some gifts 🎁. Absolutely such a lovely atmosphere, food looked amazing. Be a good guest and pick up something small every bit helps small businesses like this to grow and keep up with the maintenance and rising costs.

Excellent! Friendly service, fabulous quiche!!, delicious teas & coffee (not as acidic & bitter as Starbucks & the local queen). For gluten free people - I ate the quiche, without the crust - fabulous, especially warmed. Charming outdoor seating.

I’m all about food and drink, and my wife is all about atmosphere. The Funky Rooster checks both boxes. The coffee is delicious, as is the quiche and various pastries. Inside reminds me of my grandmother’s house—cozy and welcoming. Outside is a wonderful wrap-around porch overlooking a not too busy Key West street. We had to defend our food from a hungry and apparently fearless chick, but that seems to be the norm here!

I have been all over the keys looking for a good americano and on my last day here I finally stopped here and wish I had found them on day one! Great coffee!! Not just a tourist spot :)

Two visits so far to Key West and this is by far my favorite coffee place to visit. Comfy and very quaint with lots of beverage and food choices.

Wonderful little café with a cozy atmosphere. Seating is plentiful and varied. Perfect place to enjoy a good book to a cup of tea, coffee, or even wine.

Very pleasant stop on the way to the afternoon ferry (or any other time). Excellent coffee, cappuccino, smoothies and very nice people.

Awesome Coffee Shop!!! The staff is kindhearted and selfless. The coffee is delicious. The interior is decorated well. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. Going to Funky Rooster is more than a pleasure; it’s a great opportunity!!!!

The one thing you would expect to find in Key West, is a proper cafe where you can sit down, have a quality cup of coffee, and enjoy a good book. Up until recently that was not the case, until Funky Rooster opened its doors! My wife and I passed by the shop after a date night and we were simply amazed! The music was relaxing, the furniture and lighting is welcoming and detail oriented, and the coffee & tea? AMAZING! They have their very own blend of beans and they use great tea brewing techniques to deliver an incredible balance of flavor, body, and aroma. I absolutely encourage everyone to come visit them and enjoy a beautiful afternoon with them.

Definitely one of my favorite places in Key West. Love the Key Lime Pie 🤩, Happy Hour mimosa and sitting on the porch to relax!

Really enjoyed our get-away time here with coffee, tea, and muffins. We took home two desserts which we thoroughly enjoyed! If you want to take a breathe & a time-out, step inside and enjoy.

Spent some time on the porch during a rainy day.... Coffee was great, croissant was great, the avocado toast was good (although humbly, I wish they made the avocado slices a bit thicker).

They have a real cozy inside and a great porch to sit out and eat. So I would humbly recomend if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of key West and chill out and drink some awesome stuff, and eat some awesome stuff, and relax. This is the place for you...

Great little casual coffee and wine. Great wine specials and coffee is great too. Love the eclectic decor. No they don't have wifi. Time to slow down and relax and spend time with your loved one. We went in twice in a 4 day trip becasue we liked the vibe and the wine!

I got a mimosa, bagel, and a smoothie… all of these were so good! I have no complaints about the food! Not to mention the amazing customer service we received! The funky rooster has such a welcoming atmosphere, it was extremely enjoyable to stop here! I will be coming back tomorrow, and anytime I’m back in the keys!

Found this place by accident. We had a great experience. Such a cozy spot for coffee and to chill for a while.

Guys, cafe / lounge and the most laid back vibe. Loving this spot and if you're searching for a place locals love too you have to make a stop here. There's a selection of coffee of course and some beer / canned liquor - they have happy hour too. If you're flexible, you will find something to wet your pallette if not the light eats / desserts. This is one of my go-to kick back and relax places in Key West.
