This is speaking for Happy Hour
The restaurant was not packed, so the service was pretty quick. We got a few things off the happy hour menu. All the items were fresh and tasty!
-1lb Peel and Eat Shrimp Cocktail was awesome, It's simple and fresh, and I'm fairly certain there was more than an Lb. They did not skimp!
-Conch fritters: They were pretty good, your standard fritter
-Coconut Shrimp: Same as above, standard but good.

No complaints, Standard no-frills seafood joint. I would absolutely go back.

Love this place. Exactly what we wanted...Casual and fun. The staff there is friendly and fun. They don't care if you took too long to decide or ask a million questions. Everything is super fresh and just as described. I wish we lived much closer so we could be regulars.

Hit up happy hour! Conch ceviche and calamari were amazing!! Great view and waterfront! Our server was amazing as well! Best prices in the keys.

What an amazing find! And if you make it during happy hour, they have fresh oysters for $22.99 by the dozen. Also great is the conch ceviche. One of the best sunset views in Key West. This place is located right on the water and if you're lucky, you may get an outside table.

The decor is rustic with license plates from all over dorning the walls and the ambience is quintessentially Key West!

Amazing raw platters and po' boys. They also have some of the nicest t-shirt designs worth taking home with you. Great atmosphere on the pier. You are encouraged to feed shrimp tails to the tarpin fish over the rail. Fun new experience! @thefloridakeys

This is a staple place I that every city needs in its own backyard. Half Shell has been the the consistent spot Ive gone too during my families numerous trips to Key West, The oysters, Clam strips & Conch Fritters are outstanding, the Cesar salad with shrimp is phenomenal & dont miss out on the Key Lime Mustard, honestly should have ask for a bottle to go

We were in Key West for 2 nights. The first night we went here on a suggestion from the hotel because they have a great happy hour. Angela served us and was great, chatted, personable and kept the glasses filled. Food was great tasting, the fried seafood plate seemed a little light for the price, great food, just a little less. The fried oysters were great.
We went back the second night again for happy hour. This time we got the fried seafood sampler and fried shrimp
appetizers. Much better portions and still tasted great. Lisa was our waitress and she was great too.

This is an excellent seafood restaurant right on the water. They have good happy hour specials on appetizers and drinks. We enjoyed the seafood tower. It had a combination of oysters, clams, shrimp, and stone crabs. They also have a large selection of daily specials.

Nice restaurant to sit down and enjoy refreshing oysters at. Had their oyster combination and it was amazing. Their conch fritters are definitely a great recommendation.

My friends and I had brunch when we spent the weekend in Key West. The seating on the patio was great because of the fishes that came close by. We enjoyded sharing our lunch with them 😆. The service and staff was excellent. The food was delicious and the prices was worth it. We all chose different items but we were all pleased. Blackened Tuna, Blackened Snapper, Lobster stuff with crab meat. The veggies were fresh and not frozen. Dessert was bread pudding. We will definitely be returning to this spot on our next visit.

I wish I could hang out here longer. It's a cool place with awesome people and delicious food. You should definitely come here sometime.

Our hotel concierge gave us a coupon, which led us to find this place. We enjoyed their happy hour! It was "refreshing" to eat raw oysters, steamed clams, & beer steamed shrimp! (MUCH healthier than fried seafood!)
The food was reasonably priced, & came out hot, fresh, & fast, once we ordered.
Our bartender/server was Michelle. She was attentive & friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!

After a successful day of fishing, with Cora Beth Fishing, we were delighted to bring our catch to the Half Shell, where they expertly prepared it for us.

We opted for the blackened and fried options, and the grunter and yellowtail snapper were cooked to perfection, showcasing the culinary skills of the kitchen.

One of the highlights of the meal was the variety of sides, which were included with our order. We savored the Cuban garlic bread, French fries, potato salad, and creamy coleslaw, and not one of these disappointed. The flavours were top-notch, and they complemented our fresh catch beautifully.

The interior of the restaurant is an eclectic mix of decor, where you can have fun searching for your home state or province license plate. It's like a treasure hunt, and after some time, I was proud to discover two Ontario plates, adding a personal touch to the experience.

Loved our table and service. No sunset views but great colors in the sky over water here. Great for people watching and a great happy hour. Loved the food and everyone was accommodating to what we wanted. Laid back kind of place and we visit every year for the oysters. Good menu for everyone. Definitely recommend the bar as well. Fish in the water right by my table as well. Thanks for always taking good care of us.

When we first sat down with the menu we were a bit concerned as it seemed like there were a lot of fried options. Then we spotted the Catch of the Day. I had grilled mahi mahi and my husband had blackened tuna. Both were delicious. Service was great. Plus there were lots of fun alcohol free drink options.

Fantastic experience at Half Shell today! Food was great, drinks were on point, and the level of service we received from Daniel was top notch! We got to watch a multitude of fish and even a shark swim by as we ate next to the docks. Definitely close to the apex of a Seafood Dive Bar. 10/10 will go back and would definitely recommend! (Disclaimer: the price range I'm posting is a bit skewed because we had tons of food and multiple cocktails.)

Such a great local joint. Absolutely great food, only topped by the friendly staff. The bartender, Shawn, was fantastic. Don't miss this stop when in Key West.

This is my favorite place at Key West - they can cook fish for ya if you give them the fillet ($14.99 / lb as of 10/2023) - go for the grill, can never go wrong. I had the yellowtail, it was amazing! Tender, flaky, and the flavor, just right! Drinks are all good - nothing beats a icy cold beer next to the water, where there’re schools of mangrove snappers and other fish swimming around to grab whatever food dropped for them.
The staff also so nice and friendly.
The place is just perfect!

Ps, didn’t get to try out their raw bar yet but definitely on our todo list for our next visit.

Kat was a SPECTACULAR waitress!!! The food was so delicious, but she made our day!! The view was spectacular! And, for the brave...the Barmuda Challenge was really fun, the shot here was probably the weirdest...but you get a free koozie and a memory you won't forget!!!
