Salute! On The Beach

On the beach...the server was incredibly friendly and gave great food recommendations. Absolutely the BEST mussels I have ever had...grouper / shrimp cake was a unique combo and delicious!! Will definitely make sure to stop in again on our next trip to KW!

We started of with calamari and it was the best I have ever had without a doubt. Meat Lasagna was FABULOUS as well.I am telling you INCREDIBLE. My wife had The muscles on linguine and she said it was INCREDIBLE like the best she has ever had

Food is 5 star, no exceptions!!! Service is hit and miss but never horrible, but you come here for the views.....anytime of the day! Sunsets are GREAT when accompanied by drinks and food!

I had a delightful experience at Salute in Key West. The restaurant offers a stunning beach view, adding to the overall relaxing and enjoyable ambiance. Great food, great atmosphere, great service! My family and I came here for lunch during our leg in Key West and it is no wonder that this is a favorite spot of the locals.

The hostess graciously cleaned off the table and chairs that had gotten rained on to accommodate our request to sit outside. Breathtaking views of Higgs Beach.

For lunch, we ordered the calamari appetizer, the shrimp sandwich, the red snapper salad, and the seafood pasta. Everything was absolutely delicious and super fresh. Very cordial and quick service too. For beverages, we ordered a piña colada and one of their local beers. Neither disappointed!

Pro-tips: you can get lovely views of the ocean from within the restaurant as well. Downtown is about a 45 minute walk or 10 minute uber ride.

All in all, I 100% recommend this gem of a restaurant during your visit to Key West if you are near Higgs Beach.

If our whole trip hadn't been ruined by TripAdvisor and their mess up of our reservation for our Sunset cruise, this place was an awesome find for dinner. We made reservations for 630, even with a huge kitchen backup, still got seated by 645ish and service was great. Nice selection of wines and local beers. The spaghetti and sausage special was very good and the hot appetizer bread was delicious.

Snapper sandwich was awesome fresh great taste. Great quantity filled and stuffed nice with potatoes salad.

Chicken sandwich and shrimp sandwich all were great quality . Ordered same for kids.

Try gazpacho it’s tangy and yummy. Our waitress was sweet gave us sample to taste and then we end up ordering it.

I love Salute! The food is always fresh. The servers always friendly. I cannot recommend this lovely, seaside gem enough. We’re here for a week every year and this year it’s the only restaurant we visited 2x. Yum!

Great restaurant with a great view! Located directly on Higgs Beach, you can dine beachside in the open air seating area or inside the restaurant. Their seafood dishes are amazing and very delicious along with the Key Lime Pie for dessert! Can’t ask for a better atmosphere as you can choose between beachfront dining or traditional indoor dining. Our server was excellent! Very friendly and efficient! Prices are reasonable for Key West standards. Clean and well ran restaurant. I definitely recommend having lunch or dinner at Salute!

So far so good! I love Key west! And also I love this restaurant! The seafood is so fresh! Good ambience, beautiful atmosphere, the beach in front of you. Great service and the cooked food for my dog!

This place was great! We were at a hotel next door so a 5 minute walk along the beach was nice. Beautiful views, good service, and amazing food. My boyfriend had conch chowder and some fish, which he liked a lot. They accommodated my gluten sensitivity and mine was great too. Off the beaten path and a bit more rustic of a feel, but a welcome dinner and evening.

Very convenient to Higgs Beach! Nice eatery on the beach! Full stocked bar with frozen drinks as well. Staff is very kind and helpful. Our bartender was experienced & accommodating with our choices. He recommended the daily features. We chose the Yellow Tail Snapper sandwich. Totally enough for us to split! Had the Blueberry Tea Cocktail & Tito’s Mint Mule. Both tasty and refreshing. Pet friendly. Great beach views. Very clean restrooms. Close to tennis courts-volleyball courts and the several historic landmarks -African American Memorial-HIV Memorial and a historic fort! Refurbishing a hotel nearby and two piers to enjoy!

A lively bar on the beach with genuine staff! I made the stop at Salute on the way to the airport to soak in my last moments in Key West. it started to rain before the business opened so an employee (Marie i believe her name was) invited me on to the patio to avoid getting my luggage and i soaked before boarding the jet. (Thanks Again!)

Once Salute opened their doors for the day I was greeted by a bubbly bartender (Vanessa), Everything i ordered was based off her recommendations and it was all delicious! (blueberry lemonade, gazpacho, and shrimp salad.)

The price:quality ratio was extremely fair. Highly recommend!

Overall it's worth the stop. Great food, and service was pretty good. Our waiter was really funny and a great guy, but also very busy as I think he is stretched a bit thin. The beach is lovely, but there are some areas of the restaurant that could use a bit of fresh paint. But it's gotta be hard on a beach to keep things super clean.

We had dinner at a restaurant downtown the night prior to dining at Salute. We asked the waitstaff who in the city had the BEST key lime pie. She spoke highly of Blue Heaven. I called them to see if they were open and was advised they were on vacation. The person on the phone advised we could check out their other restaurant Salute on the Beach

To our surprise this restaurant was in very close proximity to the hotel we were staying at. The restaurant is located on Higgs Beach. There is ample parking available in front of and to the rear of the restaurant.

The host stand is located outside . We are not accustomed to the Key's heat so we opted to dine inside. However, I would highly recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view of the beach.

All of the staff were friendly and simply a good time. It appears that everyone just helps out where needed.

They had a regular menu as well as a printed sheet with all of the specials. I ordered the tuna stuffed avocado. My guy had the snapper entree. The food came out fairly quickly, but did appear to be fresh. I really enjoyed the stuffed avocado it was light but filling. I tried the snapper. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Now for the main event: the Key Line pie!! Oh my! The presentation is amazing! The meringue on this pie is out of this works massive!! It is torched on the top to give it a little color, and some additional flavor. Let me tell you- the pie was fantastic. My guy does not even care for key lime pie but he gladly helped me eat this slice. We cleaned the plate!!

This is a great place to dine at while in Key West. I love it because it's not downtown, they have free parking, and the food and service are actually good!

We had the grouper and crab cake and snapper with lobster and they were very good. Staff was nice and did a great job. Located right next to public beach about 200 feet from ocean. Great sunset view with volleyball game and band playing on the park pavilion. Highly recommend trying the daily specials.

In my opinion this is far and away the "essential" key west dining experience. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, the beach view is incredible - how many times can you dine on some of the finest calamari you've ever tasted while your toes are nestled in the sand? Awesome dining experience and this is always the first restaurant I recommend to anyone who's asking for a Key West recommendation.

The host was amazing. He greated us like we were family and helped us find a good spot to sit. All the staff was very friendly and on top of taking care of us. Great service overall!
The food was delicious, the view was perfect and probably most people would not appreciate a baby chicken on their table, but I'm here for that. I would come back 100%

Great moment at this restaurant. The waitress Mary is a lovely lady checking on each guest with a kind word for everyone. I absolutely love this restaurant, been there already couple times and I will definitely come back on my next trip to KW.

Unmatched views. This was a perfect lunch stop with excellent food, entertaining staff, and a beautiful view of the beach. The fresh seafood was amazing and the margaritas were ice cold and perfectly balanced.
