UVA Health Outpatient Pharmacy at Education Resource Center

The negative reviews always surprise me. People, this pharmacy is attached to a HOSPITAL. Do you have any idea the volume of prescriptions they receive? I've had nothing but friendly and helpful service here. Order is indeed a DMV-type system but extremely streamlined and efficient. Any complaints I've seen in person are patient-end errors due to poor communication with their doctors, etc. Sometimes you wait but that's the random fluctuations of patients that occur daily. The ER is right across the street duh! Earlier in the day is much higher traffic, but go after 8:30 PM or so and you should be out within 15 minutes if you need a fill, less if it's ready. And pick up on time! Don't complain they're out of your request if you come a week or more after you set a fill! Jeez!

Having a 24 hour pharmacy in town is so important! More than once I've needed a prescription filled after normal pharmacy hours and UVA pharmacy was there to fill it. Thank you all so much for continued 24 hour service through COVID and staffing issues!

Love UVA Pharmacy, especially the new location at Pantops, which has super-convenient parking right out front and a great team. I was actually the 3rd patient after they opened, and the pharmacist called because the med wasn't in stock (understandable since it isn't common) and saved me a trip. She then called, as promised, to let me know the med was ready.

I manage some meds through MyChart, and have them delivered, which is appreciated, especially during the pandemic.

Probably the top reason I use UVA Pharmacy is that I want to support their mission - they do not deny patients their meds due to ability to pay. They have assistance programs, flexible payment programs, and all kinds of ways to work with you to make sure you are getting the medication you need. No one else will do that. I would much rather spend my money here than somewhere else that would deny patients their meds due to ability to pay.

Note: I work for UVA Health, but am also a patient. Opinions are my own, based on my experience as a patient. I don't write many reviews, but wanted to share because I truly feel the pharmacy puts patients, not profit, first, and I can't say that about other places.

They are very clean n staff is very kind. Pharmacist are always very knowledgeable when I've needed questions answered. The specialty pharmacy is awesome too

Ran like a dmv but this one actually has people working. In and out in a very reasonable time.
