Cook Out

Food was reasonably priced, and delicious. Fries could have been crispier but had a uniquely good flavor. Hush puppies were crispy and fluffy and delicious. Cole slaw was simple and refreshing. Presentation was quite basic, no frills. Service was fast. Like really fast. BBQ was not too wet or too dry. BBQ is finely shredded. Make sure you ask for some BBQ sauce on the side. The sauce is great and the BBQ sandwich/plate is fine on it's own but is best with the BBQ sauce added.

Cook Out is a solid choice for late-night cravings. Their service is quick, and I've got no complaints. The real highlight for me is the milkshakes—always the best! My personal favorites are the banana and strawberry flavors. If you’re looking for tasty fast food with the convenience of late hours, Cook Out won’t disappoint.

The Caramel Fudge shake is delicious. Best shake ever! I thought the had a Salted Caramel Fudge but didn't see it on the menu recently. 2 shakes were $8 and change. Great shake great price! Wish they had them locally.

The food is fantastic and cheap. You cost beat it for a late night or quick bite to eat. You swing by and snag a burger tray with chicken wrap

Love the verses on the cups! If we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

No better place in charlottesville to eat a big double burger tray and watch a bunch of townie high schoolers do burnouts in their 2012 honda civics 10/10

I can't recommend the walking taco enough! Combined with a shake and I was a happy camper. Tip: a combo meal typically has enough food to feed two, and just pick the items each person wants, and a second milkshake, because we go there for the milkshakes if we are being honest.

I wish I had more pictures of Cook Out, but I don’t. I had never been to Cook Out before and I was pleasantly surprised. Had a tray with the Cajun chicken sandwich, cheese curds, walkin’ taco and a Pibb float. Everything was great, but wish the curds would’ve been a bit fresher. Either way, for inexpensive fast food, this place is elite.

Food is ALWAYS good from here. I have yet to have an incorrect item in my order, and it tastes really good considering it’s fast food. Service is generally pretty quick, even on their really busy nights after concerts and such

I really like this location because they are the only restaurant open that late. Their food is always fast and consistent. And their milkshakes are to-die-for they have a huge selection of flavors.

If you are ever in Cville you need to eat here! Staff was so kind! Food was cheap and tasted GREAT! The sweet tea is to die for!! After we ate I ordered 2 more sweet teas to take home with me that is how great it is. I have a picky eater 9 year old that doesn't eat good. Before I knew it one corn dog was eaten. I turned around and I had not even eaten half of my pork BBQ with slaw sandwich yet! She had ALREADY gobbled down the second corn dog!!! That is how good their food is!! Milkshake was nice and thick for her! Also they were quicker than McDonald's!!! A++++++ you guys keep up the good work. Can't wait to come back to Cville so I can eat there again!!

I have been at the Cook Out a number of times. Was with my son and his Family. Service is good Staff Polite. Plan to go again soon.

Wisited at midnight. Long line at drive thru but went quickly. Also have a walk up window available. Parking lot was full of trash from customers leaving there trash on the ground instead of putting it in the trash. Person at window was quick at returning change & handing food/mil shakes to me. Upset that vanilla milkshake was just a cup with vanilla ice cream but still good all the same. Strawberry milkshake was think, flavorful & perfect.

The drive thru was so long but it moved so very quickly I was amazed. The cashier at the window was friendly and actually said thank you! I drove back to my hotel our food was still hot and really good! Great job Cook Out you deserve every one of these 5 stars plus many more!!!!
