Old Dillon Reservoir Trailhead

It's not much of a hike, being that it only takes 20 minutes to get to the lake. The lake is small but peaceful. I prefer it that way. There are many fish and the water is clean. A great place for meditation.

Great short hike up to the old small Dillon reservoir with great views. The hike through the aspens is beautiful and the views up top are amazing. Walking around the small reservoir is fun and there are some small fish in there if you like to fish.

When we first parked, we weren't sure if we should skip this trail. Do IT! It is easy, short, and has some beautiful views. Not busy.

I've been going to Dylan for many years and knew nothing about this Trail. I just happened to look it up on my mapping system and found it. My aunt and I decided to check it out and we are very pleased.

It's not a very long or hard hike and you are rewarded when you finally get to the top. You have outstanding views of Lake Dillon and for a 20 to 30-minute hike up it's well worth it.

One of my favorite easy hikes in the state! You can see for miles in most directions, amazing scenic overlook of Lake Dillon or whatever it's called.

Beautiful views, interesting trail. In all a peaceful, restful, and reinvigorating area. Spent a couple of hours here taking in the sights, then the rest of our road trip was so much better for everyone.

A great short hike any time of day! A nice place to look down on the current Dillon Reservoir, as well as over Silverthorne. A pretty good hike for whole families, even with smaller children.
