Sal's New Classic Pizzeria

My family was in town from Chicago (Southside, so you know we have good pizza) for baseball and we stumbled across this place and they did not disappoint. The pizza was pretty damn good, the crust was amazing and the ingredients were fresh. We tried the supreme, ricotta/spinach/tomato and pepperoni and sausage.
I’d give them 10 stars if I could because they were able to accommodate my daughter who has sever dairy allergies with her own pizza with vegan cheese, which I ended up also eating cause the vegan cheese was delicious too.

While visiting the area my hubby and I stopped into Sal’s Pizza about 7 times out of a two week period of time…it is that amazing!!! Seriously, some of the best pizza you will ever try. The white pizza by the slice with tomato, ricotta, and spinach is my favorite but we absolutely loved every variety we tried….and we tried a lot!!! The crust is just right…chewy with a crunch on the bottom. They warm up the slices in the oven before serving. All of the staff are welcoming and lovely. We would rate over 5 stars if we could. Thank you Sals for making our vacation!!!!

First time staying in Oneonta and was looking for pizza. I definitely will not be looking elsewhere next time. Very good pizza and service. Highly recommended!

Sal’s catered a tailgate this weekend for us for the Oneonta Women’s soccer team. I just want to say that they exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing, everyone loved it, and the prices were amazing. Bobby, the owner couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating and was awesome to deal with.. Thank you Bobby and to all your staff!

In all honesty my family ordered through slice, the delivery driver for slice left our food at a random house in Lantern hill, and was blatantly rude. Unfortunately we didnt receive our food. At first we were furious, now I'm just awestruck. Not only did the manager of sales apologize for something that wasn't even thier fault, the owners brother called. They offered to make us pizza on them!!!, they went above and beyond for an issue competely out of thier company, they werent even at fault. We are so thorugly impressed that such a good buisness can exist in Oneonta, I just want to say thank you. Thank you so much for the good beautiful people you are, In all honesty I don't even know the right words, the gratitude is overwhelming. You guys are amazing, you guys are wonderful, I am so overwhelmingly impressed. Sals is truly a beautiful buisness.

I was in town for a baseball tournament and just wanted to grab a couple slices, so I stopped in randomly. I was really surprised how good the pizza was. My wife had a couple bites and even she was surprised how good it was. Being from Buffalo NY we have a lot of good pizzerias and this one was good!

Best pizza place in Oneonta, NY! You must try the upside-down, tomato pie, slice. Great quality pizza. Friendly and hard-working staff!

Like all millennials born & raised in Queens, I am a pizza expert. Just stopped in on a whim, grabbed 2 slices and a fountain drink for me and my boyfriend. It came out to $7 and some change (amazing) and was delicious! The fountain drink even came in the same cup the corner pizzeria used when I was growing up. Crust was fresh and crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Definitely the new spot!

This awesome place still holds the OG Sal's vibe. The place is run really well, and the owner is a cool guy 😎. I wasn't disappointed whatsoever!

Pizza is pizza, you know... What more do you want? Oh, they have a plethora of choices, and that's something you'll want! (Hey, by the way, if you ask nicely, they'll even create a custom pie for you!)

It doesn't hurt to look at the menu and see the multiple mouth-watering dishes and sides they have. Always cooked in that classic Italian-American style that people love and enjoy!

Had the baked ziti pizza. It was different, tastes good, very filling. A lil on the expensive side. Would def try other menu items!

Sal’s takes the pizza pie and then some award for life! When friends knew we were heading to Cooperstown, it was a MUST for us to go or they wouldn’t forgive us… now I could beat them up because you cannot get that kind of amazing variety, taste and quality back in Florida! I’d never had meat bread knots nor heard of them… and WOW! Sausage and peppers knots… AMAZING!! Pizza that wasn’t soaked in grease! Chicken Parm… don’t get me started… hand battered, fried to perfection with the most amazing sauce and pasta! Help… I can’t get this delivered to Florida, can I?!? Lol

This place makes THE best real NY pizza around, and for those who are gluten free, I can tell you they do it really right. My young son has Celiac's, so this isn't a trendy diet. Sal's bakes their GF pies on their own tray so it doesn't get cross contaminated! They even give you a special pizza cutter. Well done!

This is the absolute best pizza we have ever had! I worked for Johnny when I was younger and know how high his standards are, we went back recently and they're still as high if not better . Amazing pizza and better people
